the boss’ hand drifts across the top of her head , stroking her hair between two fingers as it goes. glancing down at her , he couldn’t help but note just how vulnerable and un-regal the princess looked in this position ,  in no small part thanks to how absolutely massive the king’s maw and scepter were compared to her crown.

 sett chuckles at the imagery , and finds himself wondering if this makes him in any way entitled to the ixtali crown.

her lips were soft , and qiyana was generous with the hot wet dribble on his tip , but she got no reaction from him. sett’s body was abnormally large and hardened , and this came with a number of drawbacks -- his limit was far harder to push than the normal man’s.

but she probably knew that by now.

sett loves his momma. he loves his money, his status, his throne and the body he built it on. 

he doesn’t believe anyone really loves him. 

sett grew up in two different worlds, and he felt as if he belonged in any of them. not counting his momma, sett was shunned and avoided both in human and vastaya societies; friendships were rare and short lived, and relationships were completely unheard of. once his body started to win him money and notoriety, people’s attitudes began to shift, and by the time he was the boss he seemed to be adored by everyone around him. 

sett isn’t stupid, and he took notice of the shift quickly. he recognized the narcissistic, superficial standards of the people around him. and though sett felt like he deserved every bit of that attention, he saw it for what it was; shallow. meaningless. ready to move on to the next big shot who manages to upstage him -- if that could ever happen. 

raised the way he was and surrounded by nothing but fans and cling-ons, sett finds it hard to believe any act of affection is genuine. everyone’s simply using him for some selfish reason; either to improve their status, to get access to money or power, or they have some superficial attraction to his body. though he revels in the attention, deep in his core a bitter resentment grows, making him jaded and closing himself out from the world. 

if anyone could really love him and not his success, they would have done it before he had it.
