it's happening again.

it's the same shit, over and over again. it is a slap in the face from asian stereotypes.

splurges of english and chinese, my parents are expressing their disappointment in fluent "chinglish." i only respond in english.

my grades were disappointing for the nobody-cares-high school-is-over semester of senior year. but then again, it's been disappointing john and eve since 7th grade.

i pulled off 5's and 4's on the AP tests, clearly i learned something in the class, i get college fucking credit. but my grades show that i must've gone to school for shits and giggles. gigglefuck.

come grade report, my parents build up a storm in themselves. the clouds of disappointment and confusion churn up lightning flashes of white hot anger, resounding with thunderous OMYFUCK.

i then get battered by that storm. i'm left to defend myself with screaming into the wind, with my voice carried away far from any open ears.

john fears i'll blow off college. eve crushes me when she says, "i hope you won't." "i know you will."

me: "okay, i'll do better next time."

"you won't, i already know"
