His pedal He used the dynacomp during his Fenderbird/Thunderbird years so like 71-75ish

then he swapped to the alembics and got a whole new custom amp rig when he swapped to alembics which he kept into the 80s

until he started working with Warwick on the buzzard in which he changed his amp system again

John didn’t use too much in the way of effect pedals in the 70s getting mostly natural tube distortion by pushing his power amps hard. But later in the 80s he adopted digitech digital effect computers Into his rig. John constantly bought new equipment and would try different things all the time and whenever he changed his equipment it’s because he felt he was stuck in a rut and found the best way out of it was to dramatically alter her tone and gear. But yeah John only used the dynacomp from like 71-75 as I’m sure his amp rig he had custom built after that had things like compression built in

The companies that produce pedals can change sometimes when companies get absorbed or a company just flat out rips off another. And many time these days you’ll see very new pedals released under the title of classic famous pedals but they aren’t really the same thing anymore. My dynacomp pedal is similar to what John had but certainly not the same

Here is Part Two of my interview with Legendary bassist Dennis Dunaway. We discuss the recently released "the Revenge of Alice Cooper " album and stories on behind the making of it. Dennis also rates the AC band catalog from "Love it to Death" to "Muscle of Love " including the new album. I learned how much the late Glen Buxton meant to the history of these recordings and how they used a guitar riff from a old cassette to include the late guitarist on the new album. What a tribute!
