Characters: Saitama, Genos, Atomic Samurai, Metal bat, Zombieman and Mumen rider

“Saitama”
~His dates are simple and mundane he would probably take you out to grocery shop dates. (Bonus points if you know how to bargain like Asian grandmas at a market🤭🤭)
~Secretly loves you kissing the top of his bald head even if he swats your lips away.(He WILL sulk if you actually stop)
~He’s literally human gudetama he will fall asleep on your chest just 10-20 minutes into the game or movie and his sleeping position is exactly like gudetama’s, he will rest his cheek on your chest while his arms flail and rest god knows where
~Gets even more competitive if King beats him in a game while your watching
~Master of cuddling, he will share his futon with you when it’s cold and holds you to his chest while your head is tucked under his chin and your legs tangled with his
“Genos”
~Struggle to pick your lipstick and blush shade? Don’t worryyyyy he will perform color swatching tests so it will look just perfect! Same with your color of clothes too!
~He’s the most possessive and protective he will hold you close to him 24/7 if you guys take night walks
~Feeds the stray cat that roams outside his apartment
~He upgrades himself just for you! Uncomfortable when cuddling? He will install synthetic skin. Need portable microwave, charger and map for travel? He will install it also as long as it is practical
~Would take you to an aquarium or a museum date anywhere that includes sciences to expand your knowledge and he will explain the answers to your inquiries
Atomic Samurai
~ Traditional man. He loves sake and prolly still sleeps on tatami mats
~ He lets you borrow his haori in some occasions but it smells like a whole herbal medicine shop in there
~ Let’s you do anything to his hair, wash it, style it, braid it, decorate it with clips you name it!
~ Gives slow and gentle back rubs when your on the verge of slumber
~ Gives you chaste kisses in your sleep so you won’t get used to his soft side because your asleep duh 😂
Metal bat
~ Loves spoiling you and his sister( Zenko is priority 👌)
~ Hide his hair gel and hairbrush if you want to rage bait his ahh, he will flip the whole house upside down for it 😂
~ Dates with him are mostly shopping for you or for his sister, buying snacks, clothes and/or watching movies
~Would be the type to flex on purpose so you can praise him
~ Will always help and love your cooking and if your still learning he will help you do some research and give feedbacks
Zombieman
~If you tell him to run to the store to buy pads or tampons he will tell you to run to the store to buy cigarettes
~Loves cuddling you to his side and scratching your head till you hum and fall asleep
~Makes you your choice of hot drinks in the afternoon and teases you by giving you the Turkish ice cream vendor treatment
~Let’s you practice your style of makeup on him till you get the hang of it and do it on your own face
~He’s the type to still have album vinyl and the player and sometimes uses it when he has the time and dances with you
Mumen Rider
~ SWEET BABY BOY WILL DO ANYTHING FOR YOU 🤧🤧
~Gives flowers to you every time when he finishes his daily patrol
~Loves kisses on the nose,cheeks,foreheads and shoulders
~Gets jealous easily but not in a terrifying possessive way he will whine and give hints till you notice and explain
~Loves when you praise and comforts him to distract him from his insecurities
Kombu Infinity should be the next monster Saitama takes in.
As far as we know, one of the very few monsters to survive Saitama even after attacking him. They(maybe a girl? maybe a boy?) only got picked for all of their kombu so Saitama could make kombu soup. Pretty light punishment for a monster attacking him( though if they only got picked, what's with the crater in the building?)
Does Saitama's, Serious Series:Killer Move Serious Picking do that much damage? But as we know, Saitama has a soft spot for kids so maybe he let them off easy, as I'd hope with a name like "Kombu Infinity" they could regrow that stolen lost kombu. They are very child like in their goals though "Im gonna be the big scary monster of ghost town ooooh" With Saitama's soft spot and Kombu's obvious child like disposition I'm surprised he didn't grab Kombu and pop him down right next to Genos at the table.
Kombu Infinity is still alive, crying maybe cause Saitama stole all their Kombu but alive none the less so instead of making a child ,I propose he adopts Kombu as his Tiger Level child. Would that not be cool? In their own Saitama outfit? I can't say little cause Saitama's only 5'9 to the 6'2 and a half(make it an even 6'3) of everyone's favourite squelchy monster. They clearly need a parent figure, they're out at all hours of the day being a little rapscallion committing aggravated assault of two A-Class Heros .
So I got my ass handed to me by reddit when I shared some frustration I was having with mining grammar from the webcomic, they really read me for filth.
It's a good thing they did, because I was really getting myself in a ピンチ and suffering for no reason.
So from now on, and even though it's very low effort, all I am going to do is add furigana to the webcomic and put the original and translation side by side for comfortable reading.
I have acquired a new goal while doing all of this, and it's going to take a lot of my time, but I want to stick to this little thing because it really keeps me going.
Saitama's apathy; a self-defence against too much power?
Chapter 5: Itch explosion
Saitama himself says it right at the beginning of One Punch man story:
"Could it be that I ended up losing something that is essential for a human being in exchange for power?"
I have a working theory that yes, he mayhap has irreversibly changed himself in exchange of seeking power. When he gained too much power that he not only lost his hair, but succumbed to apathy, emotional numbness that doesn't allow him to feel fear, joy or anger. We know that Saitama is more and more normally expressive as the series goes on, but what if...
What if his apathy is subconsciously defending himself against too much power? The amount of power converted from emotion that allows him to rip through galaxies and planets?
Chapter 167: I.O
We know from Ominous Future timeline that Saitama grows exponentially when he feels a surge of emotion he has never felt before due to death of Genos, ergo he grows stronger and thus his punches become stronger too.
In theory, right after Serious Punch squared, Saitama became apathetic again as he used up all his rage emotional energy in a huge punch. That or his body is trying to subconsciously protect himself against more emotional upsurges by giving into the apathetic state we see him on right after the Punch(tm). His almost unnatural apathy here is the reason why he doesn't give in to other emotions like grief right after and why he does not outwardly express this upsurge of emotions after it was stated to happen.
Chapter 168: Awakening of the gods
Garou probably says it the best here. A being like that shouldn't be allowed to roam free on Earth.
Saitama grows so strong on ominous future timeline that he blows up a planet by sneezing accidentally, which would definitely hinder his capacity to operate as a normal human being if he cannot control his own strenght and involuntary body actions anymore. So Saitama's apathy is his subconscious self-defence mechanism in order to limit how much more powerful he can get.
Thus we get the somewhat controversal time travel as a reset button for Saitama's powers. We got to eat cake to see how ludicrously strong Saitama can become if allowed to grow exponentially but also the consequences of it, the devastation it wrought, before being allowed to go back to square one in one piece. ONE is gracious like that.
In Chapter 83: The cruel straircase, Saitama became so stressed and angry after playing with King that he was very willing to seek out monsters to beat up. In doing so after beating up elder centipede with one large punch, he says a curious thing:
Chapter 84: Escalation
I have theorised before that his punches are emotional catharsis manifestating as punches, but it is quite telling that he needed to essentially vent that much power after getting pissed off too much. Elder Centipede was no joke and withstood Bang and Bomb combined powers and then Genos frying him from the inside and then Saitama comes along and deletes him in one punch.
In short, he became too angry and needed to vent, but his venting is catastrophic. Any stronger than Saitama is currently and he would probably not be able to control his powers and would become a ticking time bomb just from being too pissed off, if he isn't already a walking nuke.
The world relies on Genos continued existence to stay intact. It also relies on his apathy to keep him from feeling too strong emotions. But Saitama seems to be healing from his apathy bit by bit, courtesy to Genos chipping at his defences, so it remains to be seen how Saitama proceeds if he keeps getting too pissed off at games or otherwise.
I must admit though, I am curious to see if his power manifests in other ways besides destructive if he experiences other emotions like joy or grief in same quantities as his anger during Genos death. Maybe ONE will throw us another bone in the distant future.
Just working on the second chapter and I have started introducing changes, but I think it's for the better, it will just take a bit longer, but hopefully it makes it easier to use later.
Like this it will look a bit more "textbooky" and also I like the idea of using colours for different characters speaking. Saitama is yellow 💛
