Sébastien Layral (France)
When we course Sebastien Layral’s work in all media used, as well the human body for tattoos than paper, canvas, video or mixed media, it shows a unique style. The principle of work of the artist lies in the relationship with the other, into to show the intellectual process of the act of painting when an artist represents a model. This mainly consists into involving the public which could helps itself to be aware of the impact that can have its attitude (or the ego reaction) during the process on the final result. Sebastien Layral uses all kinds of media and he also had the pertinence of setting a show during which each visitor becomes a designer pattern tatoo on the artist’s body. Then, the design of the tatoo has been offered as serial-graphy printed on T-shirt so that the visitor can leave with his work. That contact between two actors-artist and public is finally materialized by the artwork. (source: my artreview) We met Sébastien thanks to Loïc Arnaud.
