Hottakes #1 No, we don’t feel bad for you DaniLeigh
Before I talk about DaniLeigh I would like to say this is in no way in defense of Dababy or his repulsive behavior and actions.
Hi everyone! I wanted to talk about this topic because it was trending for a while and I wanted to give my take.
I would like to say first DaniLeigh is a victim of dating a narcissist and I don’t think that any woman should have to be humiliated on Instagram live by their child’s father in the manor that she did. The fact that he thought of kicking his girlfriend out while she just had his baby not too long ago and speaks on his character and shows what type of person he is. To add insult to injury the gaslighting didn’t sit well with me. I’ve watched them in the beginning of the year being a couple on social media, them both claiming each other, and make music together but now all of a sudden you were never together and she never was your girlfriend? Let’s not lie.
My sympathy for DaniLeigh stops there and I’ll explain why. Dababy was in a public relationship with his children’s mother Mimi, he has treated her terribly too with embarrassing her and flaunting his relationship with DaniLeigh in her face purposely to make her miserable. DaniLeigh went along with it laughing as well, laughing at another woman’s pain. Now it’s a year later DaniLeigh finds herself in Mimi’s shoes with a newborn baby and a jackass ‘boyfriend’ who wants nothing to do with her and to make matters worse called the cops on her while she was taking care of her kid and the cherry on top is it all being done on Instagram live for millions to view and rewatch.
I feel like as a woman more specifically black women we should have each other‘s back and not purposely wait on each other‘s demise. I do not consider DaniLeigh a black woman especially with her mocking the pain of another black woman and then capitalizing off of it by making a colorist song about the situation. But in general as a woman it’s terrible to watch a woman who is going through postpartum being humiliated in front of millions and her own child.
I hope that DaniLeigh has learned something from this situation and can be a changed woman in 2022 and be a better example to her child. And I genuinely hope things get better for her and her situation.
