So it now comes out that the FBI not only investigated Mateen for the last three years and had introduced him to ‘informants’ (read as: people pretending to be members of terrorists organizations attempting to recruit him).

So the feds were trying to get this guy by pushing him toward planning something…. oops guess someone dropped the ball and he actually went a step further and did it.

So they’re trying to get his wife on charges for possibly knowing and not saying anything, but what about the FBI agents and informants that probably helped him plan it? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I really need non-intersex trans people to be way better allies to intersex people, especially intersex trans people. I need you to stop assuming that intersex = trans, that intersex = third sex or that intersex = automatically nonbinary—you need to understand that intersex people can be cis or trans too. I need you to stop saying that you wish you were intersex or you want to “transition to intersex”, which is completely disrespectful of a group of people who face incredible medical abuse and oppression. I need you to stop subscribing to the idea that intersex people (or anyone else for that matter) can neatly fit into CAMAB and CAFAB boxes and that we must be one or the other. I need you to stop using our existence as a “gotcha” or an exception to the idea that there are only two genders/sexes biologically—do not use our existence to “stump” transphobes. I need you to understand that intersexism and transphobia/-misogyny can be very similar but also very different, and that there is absolutely overlap, especially for those of us who experience both. I need you to be a better ally to me as an intersex trans person, to other intersex trans people, and even, yes, to intersex cis people.

just so u all know drawing all the time and filling sketchbooks doesnt work for everybody and isnt feasible for everyone so if you dont do one or either of those things, that doesnt make you any less of an artist it took me a while to realize that

drawing all the time could actually have the opposite effect for some people and make art seem more like a chore and get u frustrated and upset so just take a break…i usually draw once every few days, maybe once a week its okay and it doesnt make your art any less serious just because you cant do it all the time

hey just a heads up, since i didn’t know this myself until very recently:

starbucks sells ice water for 25 cents! they give you a venti (you can ask for a trenta if you want more water and it’s the same price!) cup and fill it up with ice and fresh drinking water. i get them all the time.

it doesn’t seem like that big of a deal, but homelessness is a serious issue in the coming summer months and ESP in places like my state where the drinking water tastes atrocious so i figured i’d give you guys the heads up. having fresh cold drinking water makes a huge difference in 105+ F temperatures. water bottles can be expensive – you really can’t beat 25 cents.

last but not least – if you can, keep the cup. the 25 cents is for the cost of the cup and if the employees at your local starbucks are nice they’ll usually refill it for free.

sooo many people treat fat women (especially fat woc) like we’re sturdier than our thin white counterparts by default… that we can and SHOULD withstand more physical pain than them… that we’re exaggerating if we need to be handled gently, or that we’re exaggerating when we display or recall severe symptoms… fat girls can be fragile. fat girls can be delicate. fat girls can be sick. fat girls can be in pain. we are human and we can be vulnerable too
