Andrew John Hozier-Byrne or simply Hozier (born 17th March 1999) is a singer, songwriter as well musician by profession from Ireland. He made his debut through the Internally hit single song named “Take Me To Church” which was later certified as multi-platinum in various countries across the globe like in US, the UK and Canada. His inspiration was his dad, who is also a blues drummer, at a young age. Hozier was nominated for a couple of Grammys for his hit single track “Take Me To Church “. He is heavily influenced by rock as well as R&B genres.
Andrew Hozier-Byrne or Hozier was born and brought up in the Irish Countryside in Bray. His father, John, is a local blue drummer as well as also works his days at the bank. His mother, Raine, is also an artist. Hozier and his brother were raised together in the Protestant Quaker faith even though his family was Catholic. He claims himself to be agnostic. Hozier was identified as the “class clown” and an “unfocused student” because of his lack of interest in school activities. He received his early education in St. Gerard’s School and Delgany National School. He completed his education studying Music Education at Trinity College, Dublin.
The Irish singer is reportedly dating famous actress Saoirse Ronan. The pair were friends for some time but were spotted going on dates for several times. She has also appeared in Hozier’s track named Cheery Wine which was to raise awareness about domestic violence.
