We take inspiration from The City, in return, we provide its pulse.
“Creatives Make New York City” is a celebration of craft, process and the creative community. Developed in support of Behance Portfolio Review Night, the actual set piece was handmade.
Here’s what went into it:
45 sheets of cardboard
50 sheets of colored construction paper
6 exacto knives
300 glue sticks
8 pairs of scissors
a spool of fishing line
over 300 man-hours
5 hot glue burns
2 cut fingers
2 killed concepts
… and a dog.
Join us on November 1st, let’s celebrate the people and creative that make this city great. (Don’t forget to bring your portfolio.)

DIY Wednesday Evening!
I finally put the typewriter I got at the Brooklyn Flea to good use. I was originally planning to use succulents, but Home Depot had these cute little orchids.
We'll see if I can keep them alive, my apartment might be too bright and dry for orchids, but if they don't make it then I'll replace them with succulents.

Happy Holidays!
Just finished up an order of pig butcher ornaments.
Loving this new Marimekko fabric.
Thinking about papering a wall or two with this pretty pattern.
Success! I made a chandelier for my new apartment.
We rocked it out as the VegetaBOWLs last night at AIGANY/Let's Bowl!
Last place, baby!

Neat! Thanks, Mash. :)
Thanks for sharing! I'm so proud.
The EatSleepPlay™: Building Health Every Day exhibit is opening to the public tomorrow at the Children's Museum of Manhattan! I did almost all the exhibit illustrations! Check it out! cmom.org
Nina, your dog sucks.
I'm working on a 8' x 10' illustration for a fun new health exhibit at the Children's Museum of Manhattan. The panel I'm working on has to do with things that steal your sleep. (I have also done some illustrations in the digestive area of the exhibit... if you want to see my many drawings of poop you should go check out the exhibit when it opens in November).
Anyway, one of the little green sleeping monsters I drew has an unintentional bizarro likeness to Phillip Seymour Hoffman (in my opinion). So I did a little google image searching to compare. Voilà! Here is my accidental sleep monster Phillip Seymour Hoffman next to real Phillip Seymour Hoffman.
And it will be mine!
Happy early birthday to me!
