The perversion of coronavirus relief funds is coming straight from the top

Charles Dickens, writing about the inequality and social turmoil leading to the French Revolution, noted, "It was the best of times, it was the worst of times."

So it is today, with the horrific COVID-19 killer both ravaging the globe and intensifying the inequality that was already rending social unity. Consider the experiences of one especially hard-hit group in our country: Native Americans. The Navajo Nation alone has become one of the worst of America’s COVID hotspots, with a higher death rate than all but four states. Yet, in an example of the worst of times, Trump & Co. delayed disbursement of $8 billion in coronavirus relief funds that Congress had set aside for tribal governments. The disease raged through Indian Country for six crucial weeks while Trump officials sat on the money. People died.

I know that his supporters will be like, “I don’t care what other countries think! I only care about ‘Murica,” but we live in a globally connected world and what other countries’ think about us and our president actually does matter.

Obama was held to a much higher standard than any other President, before, and he did it with dignity and class. He did not allow them to pull him down to their level. Also, his family was held to this higher standard. When they go low, the Obama’s go high! Trump is not held to any standard, he can say and do whatever he wishes, and get away with it.

He didn’t mock disabled people, attack war heroes and their families, or talk about grabbing women’s body parts, or actually doing it. He didn’t disrespect foreign leaders by shoving them out of the way at international meetings, to name an few.

Cool situation we’re getting into here 

There’s not even any reason to fire an employee over wearing a facemask. This is purely just making an ideological position that’s gonna get people killed

If only 100% of the workers decided not to return to work. Business can’t run w/out employees. Sadly, since a 1x payment of 1200 really doesn’t help anyone, ppl are forced to put themselves and their loved ones in danger to put food on the table. Wonderful country we live in.
