âCassie - I always have time for the gym. Unlike you I canât grow and shrink, or have extreme strength like Eli or warp reality like Billy. I am all skill and training,â Kate explained with a chuckle, slapping her muscles as she flexed over the blonde.
She soon bursted into a small fit of chuckles before locking arms with her and leading them off. âThe gym it is! The decision is made,â she grinned. Her equal time in NY and LA had made Kate appreciate how theraputic it was to be in the gym. Whether she was working out, doing yoga or simply just stretching: it was refreshing to be away from the hurdling life of the city in which she was raised in.
âUuuuurgh,â Cassie groaned half-heartedly as they went along. âYou know, I feel like I should be able to save up my cardio and bank it. Like. Ran from a bunch of zombies now I donât have to run for three months or something,â she joked. Her appreciation for fighting waxed and waned at times. Sheâd always thought it was cool when she was younger, always wanted to be shown stuff by her dad and Hope, but now Cassie mostly wanted to know how to snipe zombies from as far away as possible and when she could sleep.
Kate chuckled at her joke. âIf we could all do that, Iâm sure we would, come on!â She responded leading the way towards the gym, where sheâd juggle between the treadmill, weights and punching bags.
âI promise you, once you get into a routine, itâll become a hobby and youâll enjoy it,â Kate winked, a bounce in her step. Then she just remembered her old phrase âI have no powers and not nearly enough training, but Iâm doing this anywayâ and laughed to herself about how much things have changed.
