PUMPKIN FREAKING SPICE

we did it! Or...well, I did it.

Pumpkin spice pancake mix! whoo!

Mr. Red asked me if I had more weird flavors

I’m gonna try pumpkin spice pancakes!!!!

Maybe lemonade pancakes?

“That looks absolutely perfect–thank you BQ.” Red picked up his fork and carefully cut a piece of the pancakes. They really did have a perfect texture and, when he took a bite, they were fantastic. The sour lemon added just a bit of zing to the sweetness of the sugar, syrup, and natural flavour.

“Wow these are great!”

BQ gave a small whoop of happiness, “Yes! New flavor perfected first try!” He chuckled, “Now I just have to increase the batch number and....” mumbles to himself as he gets out a pad and pen to write down things.

I sold six boxes this morning in town! Success!

Maybe lemonade pancakes?

“Hmmmm…” He thought for a second, “Truffula syrup and powdered sugar please. I’ll pass on the milk though, thank you.”

The pancakes are fluffy and slightly yellow, and BQ pours a little truffula syrup over the top, then dusts a little powdered sugar on. “There ya go, Red.”

Red smiled back at him, “Well there you go then–you’ve got that down so I’ve no doubt the pancakes themselves will be quite delicious.”

“I sure hope so.” He quickly slides the cake onto a plate and slides it over. “Truffula syrup, powdered sugar, maple, or plain? Want milk?”

!!! *squeals and quickly climbs onto a chair, hands on table* Yes please : ) < 3

Awww, you’re a sweet one. *sets the pancakes down and hands him a fork, then puts powdered sugar over the top of them* there, that’ll make them taste even better. I’ll get you some milk, too.

*Squeals happily and stabs into a pancake with the fork, only to hum happily. His cheeks swell up with the food, only to look up at BQ*

Oh, yesh pweash :))) < 3 

Dish is weally gewd!

BQ set a mason jar full of milk next to the child’s plate, “There you are. And thank you.” He sat down and smiled, “How’d you get out here, anyway, kiddo? Ol’ BQ doesn’t get a lot of visitors.”

Ah, hey there, little one! You want some? *offers the brand new lemon-pancakes* I just made some!

Red briefly looked down at his suit, “Heh yeah–my factory does require quite a lot of supervision.” 

As BQ put the mix on the stove, the smell of lemons mixed with grilling pancakes filled the room and Red inhaled deeply, “Well even if they don’t taste good, your lemonade pancakes smell amazing.”

BQ chuckled, “Heck yeah. Smell is the first step to good taste, actually.” He flips the batter.
