minor spoilers for the latest solarballs ep;
i just wanna say that jupiter closing his eyes and when they open to being white was a cool as animation error
but it could also be seen as storytelling that he realizes what hes done. hes no longer blinded by his guilt if killing and ejecting the early rocky planets. he can see clearly through the fact thst despite his errors he has already made up for his mistakes by helping earth (another rocky planet) develope millions to billions to possibly trillions of living creatures(humans arent the only ones ^^)!
his eyes turning white can represent he realizes that due to his guilt, he has dragged the other planets into the situation of joining the rouges and ultimately settinf their fate of never seeing eachother again.
it could also represent how he could wish he could have bartered with the sun more. that the solar system is their home and where they all belong. his eyes turning white, resembling sunlight within them.
at that point jupiters eyes were no longer clouded grey with guilt; and turned white representing that they planets’ best option is to return to the solar system. unfortunately with them turning grey again, hes stuck under the rouges rule.
this is a dumbass ramble,, a lot of this is pretty obvious LMAO. i just wanted to talk about it. plus i dont have patreon so nuh uh on spoilers

I have a question for the Solarballs fandom
what’s your opinion on Astrodude‘s mission? Because I’m re-watching the episode did y’all interpret it like he’s will come back or it’s like no return mission(one way mission)
because I was watching project Hail Mary and I kind a want to get inspired for my au I just wanted to know what y’all think
Taking how General did tell Astrodude to come back because there were no planets rn, I would assume Astrodude might in fact come home once he explored space enough to get a lot of information. Or when his presense is not necessary.
“Oh.. I wouldn’t been so sure, Jupiter.”
Looks like Planet X still remembers the grand tack.. whoops.. 👀👀👀 anyway I forgot to post this on my tumblr oops so uh here it is..
dehumanization tropes i love
-not allowed on furniture. remain standing or kneel on the floor, no sitting
-not allowed to make eye contact
-being silenced immediately every time they try to speak
-casual manhandling, being dragged alone because they’re not trusted to move by themselves
-casual, nonconsensual touch. randomly pulling them closer, absently playing with hair, manually adjusting their posture
-giving orders without explanation
-giving orders they know are arbitrary, just to exercise power
-talking about them like they aren’t even in the room
-authorizing other people to monitor and control them
-being kept in restraints 24/7, with movement restricted even further in their downtime
-degrading their natural behaviors and reflexes. stare is creepy, smile is ugly, flinching is disrespectful, etc…
-putting down their hobbies/interests
-ascribing ill intent to all their actions and assuming the worst from them
Titan wants life because...?
Titan's admiration for Earth must come from the fact he can sustain life. That can be supported on how he responded to Luna when he asked if were interested in Earth in “The Moon Meets Titan”. Earth's sustainability for life is the driving ideal for the moon's belief that if they could have life as well, they should be treated equally to the planets. I think I understand why life is important to the moon's perception of what makes a celestial body important. It's because the gas giants play favorites and the moons know their favorite is Earth. The moons must think the reason the planets adore Earth is due to his liveable conditions. I already heavily expect that Saturn's favoritism for Titan is because he's the most like Earth. Titan may resemble the Earth, but somewhat recently he figured out that he has the possibility for life to exist. All he knows is that he has the possibility of life, but he doesn’t have the definitive truth. However, the possible revelation is so grand to them, they felt driven enough to start something like the Moon revolution. The ability to sustain life is important because they believe they could receive a sense of respect and adoration, like they believe the Earth has.
So Titan, in some capacity, must think his planet's favoritism is influenced by his similarities to Earth. Not because of any of Titan's own unique features or even personality. In that case Titan could be under the impression Saturn mainly sees him as being artificial to Earth. So Titan is probably thinks that Earth was someone he needed to be for Saturn to see as his own person, contradictory as it may sound. It just doesn't make sense for Titan to find Earth appealing. Especially since the planet is widely known as a spoiled brat and disrespectful to his own moon. It contradicts Titan's ideal that moons should be treated equal and planets should respect their moons, because supposedly Titan also wanted to be like Earth. I can reasonably infer that perhaps his admiration stems from envy for the lively planet and his obsession blinded his morality. Drawn to a fantasy that the planets could adore the moons just like they adore the Earth. He might've wished to be genuinely cherished and regarded with respect unconditionally. But, the closest he probably felt that way is when compared to the assumed favorite of the planets.
There are implications that suggest Titan is happy he has life, but likely doesn’t fully understand the responsibility and stress to sustain creatures so small. Titan wanted to be Earth not just because he has life though. By that I mean, when he learned he possibly has life he moves around as if he doesn’t need to be careful. There’s no way he’s completely oblivious of the fragility of life when he knew a few asteroids were capable of mass extinction. Though these characters' stupidity do sometimes surprise me, and it might come to bite me in the ass later to believe in his intelligence, but I think Titan’s real interest for life was more about getting everyone to notice the moons’ potential. Life as something to cherish and care for as its sole supporter didn’t seem to be Titan’s priority when he found out he had life. An oversight the moons might’ve failed to put together was, possibly, one of the reasons Earth was pampered. One of the reasons could have been due to his practical inability to do anything the other planets could do without it being catastrophic. Earth needs a lot of help because sustaining life is hard, but Titan probably saw it as Earth can get away with almost anything because the planets think life is cool so he gets a pass.
He may see Earth probably receive all that praise from the planets with little competition, regardless of his ill-mannered behavior to everyone around him because he can sustain life. Titan probably feels insecure about being viewed as an earth-like doll and was desperate to prove his legitimacy. So, he used life as a stepping stone for approval; so moons could be treated as equals. Titan saw life as a path for the planets to finally respect him as his own independent individual. However, it's ironic that Titan wanted to be like Earth. He might've believed him to be this free and respected individual when in truth, Earth is the most dependant character, and he's probably three individuals sharing one vessel. Luna is two people in one body; a reminder that Earth and Luna are weird. Anyways, Titan yearned for the planets to care about the moons like the Earth, instead of objects they could flaunt to others only to be forgotten because they aren't noticeable. Hypothetically, Titan had planned to use life as an accessory, but that idea was buried with a ploy to seek revenge. He opted that moons didn't needed build themselves up but tear the presumed favorite planet down. Doing so by destroying Earth’s life. He would further insult life's existence by discarding it once it no longer had relevance to (the plot) induce the planets’ attention. On a smaller scale Titan is doing what he felt like the planets were doing to them. Ultimately, life is forgotten once other alternatives for approval are brought up. Titan had belittled and objectified life, and assumed life is an asset that builds up the sustainer's social rank. Similar to how the planets objectified the moons and bragged about having them, but they often forget their moons' existence because they barely affected them. Titan probably doesn't understand the balance and sacrifice that life needs to stay alive. Instead his actions similar to that who he accused of neglect and disrespect.
Titan aspirations for life is simplistic. He overlooked some major agency for why it's highly regarded. Viewing life as a beneficiary so their planet would pay attention to them.
GALILEANS WERE ON THE SCREEN FOR 0.01 SECOND
Ok so... why is Ganymede still holding this pissed off uncaring face instead of looking sad/worried like others and jupiter—
AND LITTLE MOONS AROUND EUROPA GOSH SO ADORABLE
Origami for Europa
Ganymede wants to make some origami flowers for Europa, but runs into some difficulties.
This comic is a little silly, but we need more of the Galilean moons being nice to each other.
Also, I know I have Uranus giving art supplies and/or art advice in like every other one of these comics, but I like to think that being helpful with his art and art supplies would make him super happy, so I'm going to keep doing it, haha.
