Meant to do 6 easy miles yesterday but cleaned my house and had a facial instead 💁🏼 Gonna get them in today instead
I hope one day 5 years from now you stumble across me when I’ve grown out of you and finally then after not seeing me for all this time it will break your heart.

When you need to leave the house but hydration is key.
It's a tough life
I need to get myself organized because I have an appointment at the salon but I so want to take a nap.
When I ran the trail half marathon last year my average pace was 11:36. This morning I ran 10 sub-9 minute miles. On a training run. I cut two and a half minutes off my average mile pace in less than a year. With just a tiny little bit of consistency.
10 morning miles felt really good. Thinking about all the runners at Hardrock today!!
This so epically sucked. I had already decided to keep it slow, but it would have been that way even if I had different plans. Sooooo humid. And why did the concrete feel so hard tonight? Blah.
If you can run six miles on a summer day, then you, my friend, are a lethal weapon in the animal kingdom

+30 and dogs makes for a short and slow run that involved numerous creek drink breaks. This was definitely more of a dog fitness outing than a workout tonight lol. But it felt good to run around some trails, so no complaints from me. (at Tree Farm)
So many fresh berries with breakfast. They're in season and such a good price right now. Can't beat them for taste and micronutrient delivery. I woke up this morning and my lower back is feeling much better. When started as a funny bruise after my 9.5 miles the other day became not so funny when it hurt to touch my spine yesterday. But seems like it was just a little inflammation and I'll have to adjust my belt for my next run. Next good long run probably won't be until Friday as it's just me and the dogs right now. I feel too bad to leave them to go run for an hour in the evening since they're alone all day.... So I take them out with me but it's more of a run/walk. Definitely more about them getting some exercise and fresh air than me getting a workout. But every run teaches you something, and those slow dog runs teach me patience; something I SO struggle with.
Is anybody out there?
264 days since I deleted the app off of my phone, reset my browser, and forgot my password. I didn’t really mean to. I just did.
My queue kept pumping away, I see. It’s a little scary to think that someone could die, and their blog could still be active. I don’t think I’ll use that feature anymore.
Some of you gave me shout outs; sent me messages. You are thoughtful, and you are kind.
Nothing has really changed. But somehow everything has (cliche!!). It was a huge year for personal growth. It was, at times, so painful I thought I would implode. It was a year full of me surprising myself. I feel like I’ve been successful at things - anything - for the first time in my adult life.
I think that’s enough for now.
