hello!! i was wondering if you had any visuals of khoi's stage outfit? if not you can describe it to me the best you can ! i might take some creative liberties too if thats ok w you. <- going to draw him
hiya!!!! i actually decided to not make any like, true visuals of both khoi and sai’s stage outfits in case people wanted to make their own renditions of them! i wanted people to draw khoi and sai in round 25 however they pleased if they pleased, albeit with a few guidelines i’ve set in place (cluttered and red for sai, and i believe the only description i’ve given of khoi was blue, the color of sai’s eyes?)
but here are some other little descriptions i have!
i have a pinterest board of like. khoi-type outfits that you could look at
i imagine khoi’s outfit to have lots of jewelry… like rings and necklaces and earrings… plus his signature lip piercing!!!
the blues on his outfit are both light and dark, similar to sai’s eyes
he is wearing a suit, but i think it would have a flowy sort of look to it. not baggy, but… flowy. for example it could be big sleeves or a longer coat and? like? the pants could really be anything except for skin tight
his outfits overall for stages and modeling are very. vampire like. if that makes sense
one thing i would say is that it wouldn’t feel as… over-accessorized as i think sai’s would be? if that makes any sense
he’s wearing a tie, it could really look like anything (this is kind of important, but the tie should be grabbable, i’m writing something on that)
shoes and things like that could really be anything
be as free and creative as you want!

Do you know what I thought when I first saw our scores? I thought they were wrong. I thought that maybe the system glitched, and that our scores were put up incorrectly or even swapped. And the moment I found out they were real, I was angry. So angry.
You did this to yourself. You did this for me, and there was no reason to. I swear, Khoi, I wanted to fight you right then and there. It was the only way I could think of to make them kill me, not you. But you hugged me. I couldn’t breathe. I felt like I was suffocating, drowning in your body. It wasn’t like it was before. Then you kissed me, and fuck, thanks to that, I saw that bullet in my view.

i actually have. more lore for khoisai and ellievera. their stories are NOT over because you know what? i didn’t finish anakt lore in time before the competition…
also. hehe. i just wanna say that every single round went as planned… though i was planning for ellie to LOSE before vera assassinated her so we could have a scene where vera like, beats up a guard or something to steal their gun and do it herself but i kind of thought she wouldn’t do that? since vera didn’t want to kill ellie in the first place at all. so why would she fight someone to do it? it makes more sense for guardian kora to just push her on stage after ellie had WON the round, you know? so i was quite happy with the results of that round.
AND KHOI V SAI. OH YOU GUYS DELIVERED SO WELL. i didn’t even have to change plans! originally, i was thinking that khoi would make himself lose points over and over during the dance by making little mistakes, being clumsy, and not singing to the best of his ability. so in the end, sai would win by a long shot. khoi would prepare himself to die, but sai would immediately push him off and get shot himself. khoi is a bit taller than sai, (181cm and 170cm respectively) but sai still gets a bullet to the head because during the hug, khoi would be leaning down to be near sai’s level anyway.
if i included all the information on that post just now it would’ve been soso long because i was going to include DURING the round as well as the dinner party… but i decided it would also be better for searching if i separated these so it wouldn’t be a big wall of text to surf through. more information will be posted tomorrow!

This is where it ends. The song is finishing, and it feels like Khoi is simply watching his score shoot lower and lower by the second. He planned this, of course he did, but it’s too real now. Everything is going by so fast, it’s like the world is spinning in time with Cure in the background.
Dancing with Sai always came easy. It was fun, relaxing, and synchronized. But now, Khoi’s so unbalanced it hurts. He doesn’t bother fixing it, anything to lower his score, but Sai definitely looks pissed off. His expression says, “Get your goddamn act together,” without any words being spoken aloud.
Khoi doesn’t quite understand why Sai cares so much, especially after Khoi ignored them for years, but then again, when has he ever truly understood Sai? He loved them because it was hard. Because he wanted to learn, to grow, and to live by his side. And, well, it’s clear Sai could live without him. During their last years at ANAKT, they had made so many friends without him.
It’s as if being with Khoi held Sai back.
Khoi would never, ever let that happen again. When he gets shot, it’s over. Sai can advance, and Khoi’s body will be left in the rain (when had it even started raining?) under the hot stage lights with nothing to do but rot.

Khoi and Sai end face to face, dripping with water and sweat from their performance. They hear the scores tally up, the segyein cheering for the two, and everything is still. Just for a moment.
Sai looks at him. His eyes are seething, welling up with globs of tears threatening to mix with the raindrops on smudged makeup. Sai punches Khoi straight at his chest, and he chokes.
Despite this, despite everything, Khoi hugs them. It’s agonizing, it’s rough, and Sai can’t breathe, but it doesn’t matter because this is all Khoi needs. He needs to feel the warmth of a body next to him before a cold bullet sinks into his brain and his vision blacks out for good. Sai pushes and pushes, but Khoi refuses to let go, not again. His life is going to end. He has to have this, one last moment of sweetness.
One kiss is what Sai gets, in the middle of his forehead, quick and easy.
A bullet flies through the air, aiming straight for the back of Khoi’s head, and finally, he—
Khoi’s body is suddenly pushed to the side, knocking him off wobbly knees and straight onto the wet floor.
He reaches for Sai, desperately trying to make him move, but fuck, he’s too late and his legs won’t move, but maybe if he yells it’ll do something, anything—
Sai’s body falls to the floor with him. Their lifeless eyes staring into his, an icy blue stare gazing through his soul. Khoi sees his own reflection, and he realizes, this is how it ends. It’s useless now. He’s useless now. He can’t live like this, not for long, at least.
To Khoi, blue was the color of safety. Of life. But… He never wants to remember this again. This day. This competition. This round. Blue is now the color of sorrow, of death, and of a love lost.
He crawls to Sai, and he holds them tightly in his arms.
He wished, as a kid, that he could control time. Maybe if he could, Sai wouldn’t have tried to kill Vera. He could’ve reversed it entirely. He wished he could give his little sister, Nene, time. He knew she wouldn’t live a very long life, so if he could control time, he could let her live until it was time for her to go.
Currently, he wishes he could freeze it. He wants to stay like this forever, cradling his deceased lover in his arms and wallowing in his own regret because in all honesty, he deserves it after what he’s done.
He hears gasping from the audience, little whispers about how this wasn’t what the voting had decided. “What a shame,” they said. “It would’ve been much more interesting if Sai had won instead. Too bad.”
Assholes, all of them. For treating humans like dolls. Like prizes to be won, characters to be killed off. Humans are just like them, with thoughts and feelings. But they don’t care. They never did. Lycos certainly never did.
Khoi sobs in front of everyone, and he knows the camera zooms in on him right there. And the segyein are laughing. Laughing like this is a joke. And it’s not. Khoi wants to kill them all.
The lights shut off, and they’re both left in the dark.

I’m scared. In all honesty, I’m scared. I thought maybe I’d die before this round came, but I didn’t. I didn’t, and now my actions are coming back to me like those vintage boomerangs.
When I talked to you at the dinner party, it felt like my world was ending as I saw the life in your eyes fade much darker when you saw my face. I was only trying to help you, but it seems like I made it much worse.

What can Khoi do now but just wait for this all to be over? He’s going to lose and Sai is going to win. He may be the more popular vote, but no matter what, Khoi would never let Sai die for him.
If anything, Khoi should be the one with a hole through his heart and his body on the cold floor. The red of his blood spilled would look quite harsh on the cool blue he was wearing, but he wouldn’t mind. Not that he could, because the moment he bled, he’d have already breathed his last breath.
Sai is wearing red. Their outfit is as extravagant as usual, lacy and beautifully cluttered. It brings out their eyes. The same eyes that don’t look at Khoi anymore, the same eyes that look lifeless and pale, tired and angry.
It’s fine. Everything’s going to be just fine. When Khoi dies, he can meet Ellie in the afterlife. Maybe, eventually, he can see Vera too. But that’s if he loses. And he has to lose. It doesn’t matter what it takes.
“Are you ready to sing, Sai?” He asks, not expecting a response.
“Sure I am,” is the curt answer he was given.
“I helped write this song, you know.” Khoi reaches for the chain on his pants, fidgeting with the cold metal to stop the feeling of his body becoming warm with nervousness.
“Uh huh.”
It’s awkward, of course. They haven’t had a real conversation in years. Well, years before the dinner party. When Sai was…
It’s not important now.
It’s almost time for them to ascend to the stage together. They have a dance to do they barely practiced, unless forced by their guardians. It’ll be sloppy and uncoordinated, but that’s okay. It’ll be okay as long as Sai is there, full of life and overcome with emotion.
Khoi really has to do something drastic to lose, doesn’t he? God, the segyein would never let him lose the vote, that’s for sure, but… it’s not impossible, is it?
He can worry about that later. He needs to—
“Stop thinking so hard, Khoi.”
“What?”
Sai groans. “I said stop thinking so hard, you idiot. At this rate, everyone’ll know and you’ll lose the vote.” He points a harsh, accusing finger at Khoi’s chest.
“What if I want to lose the vote?” Khoi pushes the other’s finger away, crossing his arms. “What if I wanted you to win?”
“Haha, funny joke. Don’t mess with me like that again, or else I’ll think you’re being serious.”
“I am being serious.”
“You’re going to win, Khoi, that’s how these always fucking work, they’re rigged and it’s unfair. You know damn well I’m going to lose because I rank lower than you in fan votes.” Sai huffs when he sees Khoi’s uneasy expression. “Don’t make that face when you know I’m right.”
“Whatever you say,” Khoi replies, and suddenly the signal goes off for them to begin their ascent to the stage. “Good luck, Sai.”
Sai doesn’t dignify him with an acknowledgment of any kind.
just realized you guys have never gotten a khoi or sai or ellie profile update when they’re older like. ever. only vera. i’ll be updating purple raincoat vera since that one looked real bad and i’m making the other three as well IF i have time just. patience
