Friendly reminder that you have the power to change who you are at any point. Wear red lipstick for a month and you'll be known as that person who rocks red lipstick. Start speaking up about that issue you care about and people in your life will start associating it with you. Start drawing tonight and in a while you'll be known as an artist. While it may feel like you're stuck in other people's existing perceptions of you, you have the power to decide who you are and who you want to be. Use it wisely.
Anyone who thinks homeless people are lazy has never been homeless themselves.
not to be insensitive but some of the salem witch trials were so funny bitches like “i saw her at the devils sacrament!!!” girl... what were YOU doing at the devils sacrament 👀

Concert observations.
when you go outside to feel the cool air wraps around you like an air conditioned room. sharing a lighter with other fans, letting them borrow your charger, waiting in the long line of a back drop of an industrial renovated venue in mysterious part of a city. the anxierty of getting all your items out of your pockets, bags, purse, bookbag, satchel for the detector. the graffied dive bars filled with stickers, flyers, posters, markings, notes, scratch bathroom mirrors. your clothes smell like smoke and weed, the heat of the spot light. shuffling through the crowd to get yourself a drink and for your friend. shuffling your way to see front stage. when you lock into someones arms during a mosh pit and doing your best to protect them. the concert ticket tucked away along with others as a mommento. self portaits with artists. getting your stuffed signed by them, shirts, albums, skin, merch, The rush of catching last bus/train home. car pooling back home, the audience singing along with the artist. the cathatic feeling of letting your aching body and feet rest. the interaction of the crowd, the witty comdeic jabs at the audience artists wanting vouleenters up stage. When everyone parts to see trash around. waking up to still see your soft paper concert wrist band still in the morning light Rückkehrunruhe n. the feeling of returning home after an immersive trip only to find it fading rapidly from your awareness—to the extent you have to keep reminding yourself that it happened at all, even though it felt so vivid just days ago—which makes you wish you could smoothly cross-dissolve back into everyday life, or just hold the shutter open indefinitely and let one scene become superimposed on the next, so all your days would run together and you’d never have to call cut. What made you realize that you were a 7 instead of a 4?
i was in such a bad mental state back then, so being a 4 seemed quite fitting. A lot of self pity, thinking that i was ~ oh so special ~ in order to hide my insecurities and seeing the beauty in sadness as a coping mechanism. when i got better almost nothing of me was 4-ish, but i have always known that the description of a 7 is more like me. it was just covered under a lot of shit.
unhealthy 4s annoy me so much because i was just like them.

Since the new year has started, my reading resolutions were reading more classics than nonfiction, which I prefer, but I want to keep reading dark academia - mystery themed books also. Towards the end of the last year I discovered a new genre I had no idea I could be so passionate about. I’m still at the beginning of this journey and I’m already loving it. I loved reading The picture of Dorian Gray and Dead Poets Society, I enjoyed both books enough to write a full review here ♪
