i. really like that Orochimaru talks so gently in tone to his favorite little creatures. i really like that he calls karin dear?? (LORD OROCHIMARU!! sasuke had the GALL to STAB ME! CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT?! me too, dear.) there's a bit where he's like low-key making fun of minato for dying so soon into being hokage (and to think, I was denied role for you) and suigetsu is like "are you pouting??" and oro just goes "a bit, yes." she's so funny

there's also a bit where the 3rd is like "what's your goal here. you've been trying to destroy the leaf for years, why's it different now that Sasuke doesn't want to" and Oro goes on about how she spent the last few months watching kabuto dismantle himself trying to BECOME her, and how she wants to watch the route sasuke takes now. and i really like that answer but also so we're acknowledging that Kabuto has issues and looks up to you can you PLEASE GO GET HIM OUT OF THAT CAVE. ORO. PLEASE. YOUR MEDIC. THAT ORPHAN THAT YOU STOLE? RETRIEVE HIM. all i can think about during this plot is Kabuto still standing in that cave with his head down looking all sad while he's stuck in his stupid loop of losing his horn and he's probably losing his mind in there and can we PLEASE GO GET HIM ALREADY

Snakes just have such an astronomically small amount compared to people, so i think theoretically, oro could still use at the very least genjutsu. Just…for at max like 2 minutes. My idea for this is occasionally, Oro tosses kabuto into a quick genjutsu to catch up or lecture him about how shit his care is (he’s been in blue for 2 weeks kabuto he can’t fucking see get him somewhere humid NOW)

I think he would’ve been thrown into a new lecture genjutsu after he gets in on the war and its like “are you serious.” “:) well. One of us has to do something about the war.” He gets SO comfortable sassing this mf when he’s a snake .

I didn’t know how to properly include this in comic form but I also want him to be like. Lowkey having flashbacks in the fic version of this. I should’ve never learned about his backstory i WILL be putting references of Mother in here idc

6. A song you think of for this ship?

I've been listening to Yorushika - Snake a lot lately I feel like the dialogs transition from young Oro to Kabuto walking in their footsteps to their post 4th war selves.

And Gareth Dunlop - Devil Like You matched the dynamic Orokabu have during part 1 where Kabuto was still teetering between his own morals/ to betrays Oro or remain loyal to save his own skin.

Narukabu

1. On a scale of 1 - 10, how would you rate this ship?

I absolutely adore p1 Narukabu + Kabunaru interchangeable, both 10/10. A kid who just too naive and believes in anything he was told and a guy who clearly just fucking around, wasting his life and didn't take anything serious.

They're also a rebellious/stubborn/irrational kid x nerd/cynical/disciplined guy. They're like mentos and coke. There's a lot to work with but most usually write Kabuto off as naruto's cool older ex-bf, I kind of wish there was sth more where they're the main pair.

It's unlikely for Kabuto to stick around for Naruto consider his backstory with Konoha. But I don't doubt naruto not to move mountains for Kabuto if there was ever a point where Naruto understand why Kabuto hate Konoha/work with Oro. The kid have a big heart, he'd be able to reach Kabuto.

19. An ideal free day for them would look like? What are they doing on that day?

I think Kabuto would just follow Naruto around, he's too much of an wallflower and prefers to keep to himself. He wouldn't even tell anyone much less Naruto, that he has free time.

Naruto would tends to his balcony garden then does some reading I think, if he have any interest in sealing jutsus (like his parents) I think Naruto would enjoys creating new seals on his free time (mostly pranks glitter bombs or storage seals) with Kabuto to proof-check them.

Kabuoro 12, 4, 21, 18. I’m a little bit embarrassed. But- uhuhuhu.

Nothing to be embarrassed about :] this is one of the few Kabuto ship where I enjoys top kb more than bottom kb

4. How do you see this ship? They are already parents/sibling/boss per Oro's offering when they recruit Kabuto so I embrace all of that and some more when I ship them.

Whatever titles/roles that Kabuto want to try out and Oro willing to indulge. I do have prefers Kabuoro as parent/child mostly because Kabuto had always wanted an identity of some kind and seek validation from Oro, not consciously.

I don't think he know he views Oro like that, which is why he claimed to have surpassed Oro as Sage Kabuto = thinking Oro is a standard of some kind. This is the line of thought a child would have when they think they own the world just because they're better than their parents. I thought that was rlly cute.

12. Most likely to sit on the other one's lap? Kabuto would HATE to sit on Oro's laps.... He comes off as the kind of person who grew up too quickly then later regret not enjoys his childhood enough. So I insist Oro make him sit on his laps more often. Oro on the other hand will probably won't mind, and might enjoys being pampered but not coddled...

18. What kind of dessert would they be? An affogato!! Oro would be a rich, intense, hot espresso and Kabuto would be the classy complement pure vanilla ice cream. They matched each other flavor but Oro's coffee will always melt + overwhelm Kabuto's flavor.

21. What would be some pet names they would give each other? Aaa petnames are bane of my existence... hm I think it's only Kabuto who refers to Oro as "master" and fixed on title (Lord). Oro wouldn't care about it, but I think, when they're more playful/teasing, Oro would use "dear". However, it's not something exclusive to Kabuto lol
