Finally some good fucking news! I'm so emotional over this news today. Not surprised necessarily because this shits unconstitutional all the way through and rotten to the core. And if there's one thing library & information professionals are gonna do, they're gonna fight for our rights. Still, so relieved. if you live in the US and you don't have a library card, please go get one. I'm begging you. It's the best way you can support your library, aside from considerable financial support. Just getting a card, using the services they offer, and putting your body in the building make a difference - all of these things = support and justification for libraries to have funding, support, and therefore to exist. And aside from the broad data on usage, they protect your privacy!! To a LEGAL EXTENT, libraries protect your right to privacy and intellectual freedom.
