Animation based on comic We can't both be the one by @ahkaraii (you such an inspiration!)
I was rereading the comic and realized that I just couldn't help but do something with these characters. So I sat down and speedran this animation in 4 days. I've never drawn anyone from Invincible before, so I know their faces are not always very consistent 👍
a little fun fact: as much as I know my English is around B1-B2, and usually that's enough to read fan comics, but not in this case. The first time I read this one, I felt so stupid, I didn’t understand a lot of expressions and words that characters used. So during following rereads, I sat there with a notebook and a translator. Now I know what FUBAR, headshrinkers, subterfuge, and cadence mean. Comics reading has never been so productive :'D

He had some left over nerve damage in his face after the skin repair so he gets muscle spasm making his lips and face twitch.
Cecil was definitely a hoe, I’m talking different women/man every other day. Of course he never got emotionally attached to them but never led them on. He had a roster of people but had to let them all go once he became director. Also probably a freak in some way.
He definitely has a minor pain killer addiction after his new skin surgery but once he became director he did try all the fancy drugs the GDA had to of course cop with the people he killed and now being director . After a really bad trip on some experimental drugs he decided to stick with (all in moderation of course) pain killers, alcohol, cigarette and weed for when he takes a bath.
Donald is always checking in up on him to make sure he didn’t over due it with everything he takes. Cecil pretends to hate it when Donald checks up on him but course he loves the affection for his health.
He was the talk of the GDA for his looks for a while since rumors spread that he wanted to keep his scares. During his first year people would always stare at him. He definitely thought they were planning a mutiny against him.
Its been forever since Ive drawn something Invincible related. but since I finally finished watching the last episodes these days I figured Id sketch one of my favorite characters, Cecil Stedman. went for his show look since I like how slick it looks.
Maybe these days Ill draw some other invincible things. Its a BIG maybe, but hey well see. Was thinking, Unmasked Mark with blue suit, Immortal, Ductapeman or even Battlebeast, i'll see what mood im in for.

He'd told it he felt sorry for its dry cleaning service, and that there were a myriad of colognes it could choose from in the modern era that were more delicate than iron.
(It had laughed at him then, and remarked that it was flattered by the suggestion it could pull off delicate.)
Nipping this one in the bud: the scar placement is deliberate. I know Alternate Cecil is scarred on the other side of his face, but my take on him for this AU is that he's a demonic entity taunting Regular Cecil by appearing to him less as an alternate-dimension-doppelganger and more as his reflection given life. So if it were to drop the demonic features and theatrics, they wouldn't be distinguishable from one another... if that parses.
...that, and i personally think the alt cecil fit just looks better on young cecil asdfjskd
Since the entity isn't limited to any single form, it can manifest as whatever it wants, and showing up as Cecil's double from different phases of his life—even those which haven't happened yet, or heck, never happened at all in his universe—is just a way for it to fuck with him. It's always hoping to piss him off enough to tempt him into using the abilities it's given him; its power is an aphrodisiac to mortals and tapping into it increases Cecil's chances of going off the deep end, and thus dying (which is what it wants, since the "rules" dictate it can't directly cause or influence his end itself).
That said, it's going to be trying for a long, long time since Cecil is a harder nut to crack than most >:)
