Honestly it was for the best I didn't get any requests for pride month because this pride month was ASS anywhere I went because we're all arguing about "bisexuals pretending to be queer" and "(x) identity has more privilege than me!" bullshit. I tried logging on a few separate times and immediately logged on because I was just immediately bombarded with queerphobic bullshit going on on this site.

I'm posting about this since I received a few messages asking about how I am/if I'm still here. I am, just taking time for myself lately. I'm also kinda working on some big-ish projects. So it's taking up my time. Honestly the vibes on this site have been rancid so I'm comfortable not worrying about posting here. But I'm alive, just taking time for myself.

can I be honest and say idk if I even wanna do my usual pride month content on here because every time I log onto tumblr lately I see some fuckshit queerphobia and it makes me actually exhausted when this used to be an outlet to be openly trans? I've also started drawing again for the first time in a long while and that's kinda how I've been spending my time while I haven't posted here, and that's made me happier than seeing tumblr try to present to me why people like me should kill ourselves.

Okay, I've given it some thought and I decided I will open requests for the annual pride month prompt game. I'll just be doing it at my own pace/leisure and I'm not going to worry about fulfilling as many as possible like I normally do. I also may choose to prioritize certain requests based on others (i.e.: headcanons I'm more passionate about off the bat rather than ones I have to do research and thought on/am not sure about)

I also may just choose to do a secondary series where I just choose characters myself and give you my headcanons for them. Yes, you can request characters that have been featured in the TTNBFT series whether they were my own submission or otherwise.

But just wanna end this with you guys should love your queer siblings, and you should be uplifting each other. I block people the second I see that they are not actual queer allies regardless if they are queer themselves. If you are transphobic, biphobic, panphobic, enbyphobic, anti-mogai/liom, anti neopronouns, anti weird queers, or just simply think that there should be a "queer hierarchy" where some of us are more deserving of community than others, this is not the place for you. I've been deleting and blocking anons sending hate for a long while. Even me being absent from this blog hasn't stopped me from receiving these messages. No, I will not be posting them to add fuel to the fire. You can choose hatred and bitchlessness, I will choose peace. And no, I'm not interested in your chronically online ted talk about why it's actually good that this specific identity is the target of online harassment and how that makes you a girlboss true feminist that's better than everyone around them. Hiya, just curious- are you going to participate in editfight this year?

Oh I hadn't even thought about that coming up.

If I'm being honest, I'm not sure. I saw several people drop stimfight or straight up block people for participating in it over the fact it allowed proshippers, and I know some people were definitely angry about my inclusion particularly. Editfight seems more stable, but when I looked at those participating last year a good majority's dni applied to me. So I suppose I'll have to think it over.

absolutely! So there's plenty of video essays on youtube that cover this topic, and I would be happy to recommend some that have helped me get information I've looked for regarding this topic, but I'll keep it simple here. I'm putting trigger warnings in the tags but I'll try to keep it brief since it can get heavy. In general though, if you seek out more information, be warned that they'll discuss those topics much more in depth than I will.

Angel studios is a distribution company that's recently come into the public light for their recent release of the movie "Sound of Freedom", a movie that advertises itself as being against human trafficking, but has actually caused significant harm to those trying to fight against such a thing since it portrays it in a very "fuck the bad guys!" action movie light. It also spouts a lot of well... q-anon theory shit. Right wingers really liked the movie, I'll just say that.

The thing about angel studios though is that while it promotes itself as being a "christian alternative" with their streaming platform, it's a covert mormon company and the media they produce tends to reflect those values/beliefs. They've also produced cartoons like the tuttle twins that tells children they should invest in bitcoin and other cryptocurrency, and that capitalism is good because people shouldn't be paid as much as others because their work isn't as "valuable".

They are also notorious for actually backstabbing the christian artists and creators that make their less problematic media and have broken contracts and essentially stolen money from these people and then essentially talked shit in the "business appropriate" way about the people that they have/attempted to scam.

There's a lot more to this beast but I feel like these are good things I can list out to explain why I don't want to fulfill requests pertaining to any media associated with the company. In general I tend to stray away from religious based media as well, with an exception here and there. (such as things like Dreamworks "The Prince of Egypt" or "Veggietales") I felt like it was important enough to post about it since I've talked to multiple people about them lately irl who had no idea it was a mormon company that is essentially scamming the few creatives who have genuinely wanted to make art and not propaganda.
