Fun fact! Tomori’s writing is half-autobiographical. The main screenwriter for the anime (Ayana) said while developing her character, she was inspired by her own betrayal of relationships and loss of faith in people.
This is my favorite fact of MyGo because it explains a lot about how human Tomori feels. I love her because of how she cares so much for others, despite having hope ripped away over and over. She cares anyway.
The little signs of love she gives while being generally reserved and quiet, she just feels really realistic.. I’m sure the writer put a lot of herself in the character, I admire that
ain't nothin gonna break my stride because I got the huntr/x meal and got the rujinu card
Went on a blocking spree because I found someone who expressed their desire to see trans men killed, and I decided that anyone who condoned that and other posts of theirs shouldn't have easy access to me; a trans man who would like to not be dead.
Idk if this'll do much, but if you're a blog (especially in stimblr, editblr, etc. But honestly I'd love to just have any kind of mutual that is a kind person at heart) that is actually safe for all trans people to engage with and you're willing, I'd love if you could interact with this post so I can maybe follow you. It's easy to get in your own head sometimes and feel that you're truly unwanted and unvalued, and I both need and would love the reminder that the common person out there doesn't wish harm on others. I like using this blog as a stress relief from my own ongoing issues in life and I hate feeling like it's being taken from me because tumblr is becoming more and more unsafe for queer people.
Transphobes and queerphobes that may attempt to interact with this post in bad faith will be swiftly blocked and their interaction will be hidden or deleted.
Merry Transgender Christmas everyone. It's exactly the same as regular Christmas, except my favorite anime and cartoon characters are present
Honestly, with the amount of transandrophobia on this site I'm very tempted to make a stimboard series centered around trans men and transmasc headcanons simply for the purpose of "fuck you they're one of us now"
my local theater is nearly ENTIRELY sold out of tadc last show preorder tickets and I just barely managed to swipe one for the final show on june 7th. I'm gonna be so normal during this excruciatingly long wait period until then.
Saying this as a trans guy but you might not want to say baeddel since it's an intersex slur that radfems coopted ^^;
So I did further digging and if I'm being honest now I'm just confused. I've seen people say it's transmisogynistic, it's not transmisogynistic, it's intersexist, it's not intersexist, it's both, it's neither, it's actually an insult to effeminate men, etc. So for the sake of this I'm just gonna state that I'm only referring to them as that because that's what they are specifically calling themselves and I've put it in our dni because this community has chosen that word (along with some taking on AERF) as the marker for their placement within this discourse. I feel like this is valid of proper discussion because honestly I can't say what the right call for this is.
And for my addition to my post that is coming from me seeing people make posts saying referring to them as that is a slur despite that being the name their community has taken on. I've been in these discourses long enough to see this happen repeatedly so if I've misread the situation then that's entirely my bad and I'll apologize on that one. I do however find it strange to adopt what you consider a slur as a personal identifier and then get mad when people refer you to the term you openly refer to yourself as.
