26-year-old Jamarion Robinson’s grandmother Beverly Nixon said her grandson was bipolar and schizophrenic. Still got shot 76 (!!!) times. Would a white person get the same treatment?
The witness said he saw more than a dozen patrol cars at the complex where US Marshals killed Robinson on August 5, 2016. Why were there no behavioral specialist? Surely one of them would know how to interact with a bipolar schizophrenic better than the police.
I’m absolutely disgusted.
Here’s Jamarion’s mother’s GoFundMe in case anyone is willing to help.

Oh god ..
this is how much they’ve raised as of June 26th, 2020.
$48,589 out of $100,000 raised as of September 28th, 2020
$52,212 as of January 19th 2021
This is still relevant. If you can’t offer financial support please do your part and share so it can get to people who can.

“Bobby Hutton was the first Black Panther Party member murdered, killed while in the custody of the Oakland police. During the inquest on Bobby Hutton, one policeman testified that the other cops had literally ‘murdered Bobby Hutton’ after he surrendered.” — Bobby Seale, “Power to the People”

✨ JUSTICE for #DominiqueRemmieFells 🌹 JUSTICE for #RiahMilton ✨Two fallen angels, two sisters in struggle who have finally found peace. Dominique “Rem’mie” Fells of Philadelphia, PA was only 27. Riah Milton of Liberty Township, OH was only 25. Both were stolen from our world before their time, victims of the transphobic hate and violence that continues to terrorize our communities while the world watches silently. Dominique and Riah were killed within a 24 hour period, and news of their murders reached the LGBTQIA+ community as we mourned our 49 stolen siblings who were murdered 4 years ago at Pulse nightclub in Orlando. Meanwhile, the Trump administration has rolled out new hateful policies to further push trans PoC to the margins. All lives cannot matter until BLACK TRANS LIVES MATTER - if we don’t fight for our most vulnerable, most marginalized and most stigmatized sisters & siblings, our revolution is no “revolution” at all.
Now dis is perfection! !!!!

Thins I wish I knew before starting university:
Not taking the full course load is fine
Only taking a couple of classes and being a part-time student is fine
If you have to sit out a semester or two because your mental health is bad that’s fine
If it takes you 8 years to complete your undergrad, instead of four, that’s fine
It’s OK to withdraw from a class. Better to have some Ws on your transcripts than Fs
If you’re interested in the course but can’t commit to the assignments, audit it instead. (You don’t have to submit any work or sit exams if you’re auditing it. You're not being graded). It shows that you are interested in a subject and is not a bad thing to have on your transcripts.
Don’t worry about getting As. Seriously. Unless you need high marks for a (post-)graduate or professional degree, don’t stress about it. Aim for Cs (or 2.0) because that’s what’s required of you to graduate. Grades aren’t that important outside of school. Don’t kill yourself to attain perfection.
Your mental health comes first. If that is interfering with school. Take a break from school. Get a certificate of illness if you need to, but take a break from school. Don’t let yourself burnout or let your mental illness(es) get the better of you.
NOT EVERYONE GRADUATES WITHIN FOUR YEARS. Stop holding yourself to that. Life gets in the way sometimes. And it’s not your fault. You aren’t dumb. Your priorities are different, and other things have to take precedence.
Anyway, I wish I knew these things before I started. It would have saved me from a lot of guilt and self-loathing.
