I had a really fun time in Portland.

I wasn't supposed to be sailing this year but here I am out again.

For almost a year now I've been landed and just working out of an office. It's a nice break from constantly being away from home and I enjoy it but I am really bored with it. I just got a call and was asked about doing three different sails this summer on three different ships. Two of them apparently asked for me by name. I accepted both of them and am pretty excited to go sail again. One of the ships has a lot of my friends on it and the other has gear I only ever got training on but never worked on so I'm excited to do that too.

This weekend has been really expensive and it seems like by the end of the week I'll have a very large bill to pay.

I finally found a Joji album on vinyl. I never listened to this one but I really like his music and just want something from him.

Giving it a first listen right now and really enjoying it so far (only two songs in)

My little garden is coming along. I'm really happy to see how my bonsai is growing again.

The only thing is for the basil I read about pruning it then putting those parts in a glass of water to grow more of it. So far I've had it there for about a week and I'm not seeing anything grow from the steams yet.

If anyone else has some advice I would love to hear it. This is my first year actually planting stuff.

This just sends me every time I stumble on it

My first bonsai died on me.

I tried planting another pine to replace it but it's been a few months so I planted morning glory and poppies thinking the tree was dead. I still watered it regularly though. Just a little fool's hope.

The two flowers started growing super quick and I felt happy about them but still sad about the bonsai since I wanted that as a gift for my friend.

Today when I went to water them I saw that it was finally starting to sprout out.

Now I have to just manage not to kill it again.
