Yo Radiation Rats!

I'm seeing a lot of neutral hate which is complete horse shit. Not everyone can fight the good fight with guns and destruction. Some do it quietly and in their own ways. When a neutral takes in a 'joy to nurse their wounds or get a good meal that's them stocking it to the company.

When they throw info your way or turn a blind eye to your actions that's them helping the cause. Stop treating them like Dracs or company spies because not everyone is. Some neutrals have kids or family they gotta look out for. Some just want to stay under the radar and try to live a semi normal life.

That's fucking fine.

I'm sick and tired of hearing this shit on the waves about how neutrals are just as bad as the city.

Pull your head out of your ass and stop being some genocidal asshole. We're all in this together so don't burn bridges that don't need it.

So in closing if you're anti neutral then kindly fuck off. I don't care if your a 'joy that ran with the Four. They weren't anti neutral and would be fucking ashamed of you.

I know I'm not a big voice in this community, but I just want to say that I don't think neutrals are evil. They're just people who live in the Desert don't want to get involved in a whole-ass WAR. You know, like most civilians who live in war zones. They don't want to openly fight the government because that would get them killed and put their families at risk, but they don't want to be in the City because it's pretty much a prison, they'd never be allowed to leave again and they'd have to watch what they say and do even more. They aren't evil for not joining the rebellion. In my opinion, they're just people who want to live in peace.

One of Damask’s followers answers the door and looks bewildered at Jet’s aggressive attitude. “You sounded like you were going to break the door down. Is there an emergency, do you need help?”

Angel hesitantly walked up towards the building in the middle of the desert with fear. His instincts were kicking in and telling the boy to run for the hills. But he stayed put. His small hand reached up to slowly knock on the door with the most energy it could. He was terrified.

One of Damask’s staff opens the door. “Damask said you’d be arriving, he’s waiting for you in your room… well, I guess your old room. Be careful, though, he seemed nervous about something.”

He gave a gentle nod and started walking through the halls towards his old room. This was the right thing to do. Talk it out and part on a good note. One could suppose they might be friends.

Once he arrived to his living spaces, he stopped dead in his tracks. Something felt wrong. Damask was too willing to agree to their parting

Damask is standing in his room waiting for him, and when he hears Angel come in he turns around. He looks tired, and nervous, just like the help had said. “Hello, Angel,” he says quietly.

“Damask. You wanted to talk to me?”

He was quiet as well. Mousey even. His brown eyes were casted on the floor to avoid looking Damask in the eye

“Yes. I um…” he runs a hand through his hair nervously. It’s all fake, he’s not actually nervous. He just needs Angel to believe he is. “So I’ve been thinking and… I’ve come to the realization that….” he sighs and acts as though he’s trying to get his thoughts and words together and muster up some courage. “Angel, I’m in love with you. And…. the idea of you leaving just…. you could get hurt and what would I do then and-…..” he stops himself. He acts as though the thought of Angel getting hurt is too much for him to handle.

Angel was naive. He tried to see the good in people. However he wasn’t stupid. He felt something off about this confession. He could hear Jets voice in his head reminding him to be careful.

“How. Why? When? Why do you love me Damask? May I ask you that?”

That answer makes him mad, but he doesn’t show it at all. Instead he slowly takes a step closer to Angel. “Angel, I’ve been thinking about you a lot lately, and when you said you were leaving I’ve found myself thinking about you even more. You like me for who I am, not for my money or my power or my things. You’re the first person I’ve met in a very long time who’s been so genuine with me. You’re so sweet and kind. I didn’t think I was capable of feeling this way, I’ve denied that I did for quite some time, but I can’t deny it to myself anymore or I might lose my mind.” He sounds genuine, he sounds sincere. He watches Angel closely, trying to figure out what he’s thinking.

“I have to ask you one question Damask. Just one. Would you give up sleeping with other people for me? Silver, all of your clowns, the other party guests, even Clancy if she wants you. Can you commit to me and only me?” Angel knew Damask liked sleeping around. So much in fact that this question was a test.

He’s starting to get furious but he doesn’t dare let it show. He’s a king, he’ll sleep with whoever he wants, he doesn’t take orders from the likes of Angel. But the problem is, he wants to sleep with Angel. He wants to keep the pretty boy around and mold him into what he wants, which he has been trying to do for months. Stupid boy, or perhaps not stupid enough. “Yes,” he says. “Yes, if that’s what you want then of course I’ll do it.” Lies. He’ll do what Angel asks, but only until he can make Angel into exactly how he wants him because by then Angel will understand his power and understand he can do whatever he pleases.

Something about the look in Damasks eyes scared him. Petrified him even. He felt his entire body screaming at him to run. So he took a step back and gulped.

“Can I have time to think about it?”

“Angel…” he says softly, quietly. He’ll keep up this heartbroken facade as much as possible, a man driven to do what he’s about to do out of desperation. “….If you leave, you could get hurt, you could get killed. You’re running with Jet Star, one of the most wanted men in the Zones, one of the most sought after. I don’t know what I’ll do if something happens to you.”

“Nobody will hurt me because of the person I am close to. Why would they? That’s stupid. I’ll be okay Damask. You’re not going to loose my but I can’t follow you around like I have been. I need to figure out where we stand.”

There was a confidence in Angel’s voice. Something that wasn’t normal. Jet Star was rubbing off on him. He wasn’t the same scared little boy anymore

He stops himself from raising an eyebrow at Angel’s new attitude. “Battery City doesn’t consider morals or what’s stupid or not. They see a killjoy, they shoot. They see another killjoy with Jet Star, they’ll do their damnedest to bring you down. Angel, please.” He sounds as desperate as he can, he’s trying his best. He’d rather not do what he’s about to do, it’d be way too much drama and he’d have to rework gaining Angel’s trust, which would be extremely time consuming.

“Well I don’t consider myself a killjoy. I have always refused to pick a side and I will always refuse to. It’s just endless bloodshed. I know you’re worried about me and it’s sweet, but I can’t just never leave.” He placed hands on his hips, looking rather frustrated.

He pauses and stares at Angel for a moment as he thinks. He stops himself from sighing, he’s really going to have to do this. “I’m sorry, Angel. This is for your own good and I promise one day you’ll understand.” He affectionately pets his head before walking away. He walks out of the room and locks the door behind him. It locks from the outside, Angel won’t be able to get out. He sighs and walks away, he doesn’t want to be around when Angel screams for him to be let out.

“Damask, we’re still talkin- Where are you going?” Red flags rang in his head. Something told him this was bad. Maybe it was common sense, or his survival instincts. Either way, Angel was fucked.

He tried to follow Damask out the door, but found the handle didn’t move. Okay, it might be jammed? So he tried the handle again. And again. It never worked. So Angel backed up a few paces, then full force tried to kick the door. It didn’t cross his mind that Damask would do this to him.

As he walks away he can hear Angel jiggle the doorknob and run into it and kick it, and he rolls his eyes. He won’t say anything, as Angel is probably mad at him, but he hopes Angel realizes soon that nothing’s going to work. He sighs again. Angel will come around eventually
