Katseye Overwatch Mains
⧠Pairing: OT6 hcs
⧠An: This is for a niche audience, but also because I am bored and wish to combine my interests
â« Now Playing: Perfect Night â«
SUPPORT
⧠SOPHIA deffo plays support and mains mercy, mercy parkour is her worst enemy tho. She has tried playing as life weaver but uses the pull (life grip) ability at the worst times and that pisses off the rest of the girls. If she were to go for more of an attacking role she'd play zenyatta, but in the end she just likes to be able to power up and support her teammates rather than dealing damage herself.
⧠MEGAN would play support, I'm pretty sure that's what she said she plays in val. Mains lucio (I'm a lucio main and shes my bias sooo I'm right), likes the movement (speed boost and wall ride) and deffo has the time of her life booming people off the map w his soundwave ability (I just had a vision of megan as cassidy, I dont think she would play him I just love cowboy megan agenda)
DAMAGE
⧠YOONCHAE would be such a little shit shes 100% a damage player, like mains sombra or mei. Loves to sneak around the map and torment you, would make u wanna rage quit. I think she'd also dabble into widowmaker but just to practice sniping people while she's jumping around mid air. (Idk how ppl do this my aim sucks ass) She must hone her ragebaiting abilities.
⧠LARA is NOT subtle at all, so she is NOT the type to sneak around the map and flank you. You will probably know her location throughout the whole game. She goes in guns blazing deffo plays damage, She'd main someone like junkrat and just shoots everwhere. She loves propelling herself around using his concussion mines. (I have realised I also love junkrat and lara is also my bias...) If she were to pick another character, it'd probably be ashe (I've been thinking of lara as ashe and that is a very beautiful vision, I would draw it but i cba) what can I say she likes explosives and LOVES bob.
⧠DANIELA would be quick to rage shes deffo the type of dps to end the game with "gg no heals". She would run in alone without waiting for the tank or support then blame others when she dies. I can see her playing as hanzo and god knows how she aims that fuckass dragon so perfectly your whole team WILL die. But honestly I think she'd pretty basic w her main sticking to someone like soldier or reaper (atleast then she can heal herself).
TANK
⧠MANON I can see her playing both tank or dps honestly depends on her mood. Cannot see her as a healer tho. When she plays tank she definitely takes on more of an attacking role and does just as much if not more damage than the other dps' on the team. I think she'd prefer characters who can heal themselves/block damage rather than having to rely on support 24/7. So roadhog is a potential main (marz chaotic roadhog and junkrat duo yes yes). But I see her playing ramattra more often, she loves closer range combat (ramattra's nemisis form) and punching the other team so she dabbles in a bit of doomfist too.

Sophia Laforteza. Either you hated her or loved her. There was no in between and frankly she did not care. She was the one sitting on the top floor at the end head of the table. People looked up to her for guidance and direction, not the other way around.
Even her own business partners who didnât respect her knew to never cross her. Sophia didnât care. She wasnât looking for approval. Her approval was her company. Noir et Blanc. One of the best media companies out there. Everything happening in the world you could bet Noir et Blanc was already stamped and trademarked on the edge of the paper.
Sophia loved journalism. News wasnât real nowadays or the coverage was lacking. There were no trustworthy sites to even research for a school paper. Fake News everywhere. Nothing about the political standpoint of the world or the injustices happening that people refused to acknowledge.
She wasnât just covering stories for press gain but because it want far to the new generation who had to live through actives wars and bombing yet steadily being told to turn a blind eye and that the world leaders would handle it.
When have world leaders ever handled anything? In a way that didnât end with troops being deployed and only a third of them making it back home. More bullets fly, more bodies fall, bombs get dropped and yet the same conflict arises just 5 months later for round two.
Was she crucified for it? Of course she was. Not only was she educated. Extremely intelligent and successful. She was a woman. A woman who stepped on the toes of big coat small dicked men. Not just a woman working in a male dominated field but a woman who absolutely dominated the men.
It pissed them off. Down to their core because a woman should never outclass a man. Or because what did women have to contribute when it came to daily news. They donât have any knowledge on world problems. Nuh uh. Only makeup, lip filler and which dick they were gonna suck next stayed on their mind.
Sophia heard their comments. Never quite nor subliminal. Touches and advances to try and scare her. Sophia didn't give them the satisfaction. She was a fish surrounded by sharks but she was not afraid.
If anything she was humored. These men felt so intimidated by her. So threatened. So humiliated. Each day they tried and each day Sophia held her head higher. Loud clicks of her heels to announce her appearance. Didnât have to speak because her work did all her talking. Men walked into her conference room smug and walked out whimpering.
Tails between their legs. Dicks tucked. Sophia loved seeing a man on his knees. Thatâs where he belonged. Back straight. Mouth Shut. Waiting orders. Her orders. The thought sent a rush up her spine, down to her stomach that finally settled in her pussy.
Work like everyday was steady. Sheâd sit in her office and overlook the thousands of articles her employees wrote. Most never went through. The few lower interns never made it past a day. Sophiaâs criticism was harsher than her glare.
Did she nitpick of course she did. A period could be missing and sheâd make you scrap the whole report and start over. It was lazy. In Sophiaâs mind it symbolized laziness. No article ever made it through on the first overlook. If it looks too short, find more coverage. Paragraphs began to sound the same, go back and find bolder words to use.
Make it worth reading. News wasnât just coverage but art. An art that Sophia took seriously. She wanted to believe what she read. Wanted to feel the meaning and passion behind each word. If it didnât cater to her then it definitely wouldnât touch the younger audience.
It wasnât rocket science. Something a baby could figure out so why did it take adults so long to understand. At 7:30 Sophia was shutting her computer and gathering her things. She didnât stay late. God no, the employees stayed late. Knew to take their work home and have her back to her first thing in the morning but Sophia left everything work related in her office.
Sheâd worked her ass off to build the company so she was going to enjoy the luxuries of being her own boss. She wrote the checks. Signed off on paper roll. Approved, signed and dated on the dotted line. Whatever it was could wait until the next day.
The ride home was quiet. Sophia didnât drive with music. Not usually anyways. The hum of the engine and the occasional honk of a horn filled the silent void. The drive was easy. Empty roads. Low yellow street lights. Soft breeze from the window that was rolled down.
Sophia enjoyed driving. Her personal car of choice was an 2022 Acura NSX. A present to herself. A gift for her hard work. Constant hours in the office, hundreds of words written. Hours spent working underneath somebody else and not getting paid a faction of what she was worth.
Truthfully Sophia never expected her company to take off. She didnât expect to expand so fast. To be working directly with news outlets and government agencies. Five years ago she had a concept. Now, present time she owned a 100 foot story building and sat on the very top floor.
Before she didnât have a choice whether she wanted to go to work or not. Each morning sheâd drag her body out of bed, shower, fix her hair, leave her small studio apartment, fight with her janky Nissan because the door handle never liked to unlatch and the battery died every other second.
Sheâd work basically 12 hours. 30 minute lunches and the only real break was when she would disappear into the bathroom and escape the constant stress and noise of having to do everyone drop because grown adults needed their hands to be held.
Now Sophia chose her hours. Didnât want to work, that's fine she didnât have to come in. Her assistant could run the office. Maybe she had l a hangover and just couldnât roll out of bed. Those suitors would still be there tomorrow. Ironed suits. Dry cleaned and tailored. You had to wait on Sophia Laforteza. Sophia Laforteza did not wait on you.
âWelcome back, Ms Laforteza.â, the door greeter bowed his head while holding the door wide for Sophia to cross over. She didnât respond verbally but a small smile graced her face as she acknowledged his presence at least.
Heels clicked against the floor as Sophia made her way through the luxurious building heading towards the elevator up to her penthouse apartment. It was a two bed and two bath apartment. It was the first apartment Sophia bought once her company took off. Finally being able to hold the keys for the first time was a moment Sophia would never forget.
That feeling of adrenaline. The tears that followed once she was finally alone within the empty space. She did that. All on her own. No help for her parents or anyone else. Just her. Her hard work had earned her a place she would call her home. Putting the key in the door Sophia felt an immediate sense of exhaustion roll off her body.
Shoulders slumping, feet beginning to hurt in her heels, hairs beginning to stick to her forehead. The woman wanted nothing more than to run a hot bath and just soak for a few hours. Maybe even sip on that champagne she had been saving waiting for the perfect moment to pop it open. Complete with salts and oils to help with the aches.
Shutting the door softly behind her Sophia turned to lock the door slipping out of her heels moaning once her heel touched the ground. Instant relief after hours of being suspended on her toes. Next was her setting her purse on the counter along with her coat.
She was about to make a beeline to the bathroom when her eyes caught the open champagne bottle. The same bottle that she had not yet touched and was hoping to open just now. Furrowing her eyebrows Sophia looked around the space flipping on lights.
The house was the same way she left it. Nothing out of place. Nothing stolen. Yet this champagne bottle was not opened when she left the house. She picked the bottle up to sniff the rim. Condensation already begun dipping down the sides. Creating a rim on the counter.
Sophia clenched her teeth. Heading to her purse to fetch her phone. She had cameras. Quickly she navigated the apps fingers moving with urgency. Her heart speeding up just a little bit as she narrowed her eyes trying to move between cameras and timestamps. âYâknow I really thought youâd be more aware of your surroundings.â
Sophia let out an audible scream, phone flying from her hand as she quickly turned around a strong fist straight into your chest. It didnât hurt. In fact the act bounced off your peck as you smirked and brought the wine glass to your lips. A wine glass filled with the same champagne that was sitting on the counter.
Fear morphed into annoyance and then anger as Sophia harshly stomped down on your foot. Thankfully your shoes saved your toes from being crushed. A soft grumble sat in your throat. The sound of your amused laughter.
âThatâs not any way to great company? Now is it Ms. Laforteza.â
Sophia rolled her eyes a harsh shove to your shoulder. You watched her walk around the counter to grab her phone. The same one she had thrown during her fright. Just the thought made you laugh again. You watched Sophiaâs eye twitch yet she refused to speak. She always liked to play this game. This silent treatment.
âReally..so you're not gonna speak to me at allâ, your breath was against Sophiaâs ear as you rested your hands on her shoulder. Feeling your touch Sophia turned eyes sharp and narrow. A fire blazing inside of them. You smirked. Lip curling upward with satisfaction.
âDonât! You need to get the hell out of my house!â
âWhat? Youâre not happy to see me Ms. Laforeztaâ
The fire in Sophiaâs eyes grew. Her hands balling into fist as she stared up at you. It was enough she had to deal with your bullshit while working but she would not deal with having to come home and you were the first face she had to see. âYou need to leave before I call the police and report you for trespassingâ
Empty threat. Always an empty threat. She wouldnât call the police. If that was the case she wouldâve called the first time this cat and mouse game began but here you were. Standing in the middle of her house. A key to the door resting on your pocket. âYouâre so feisty todayâŠwhatâs wrong baby. Talk to daddyâ
Sophia slapped your hands off her waist. She was not in the mood. âFirst of all, Iâm not your baby. I donât even want to know how many women you say the same line to-â
âA lot..but youâre my favorite. You know thisâ
âI swear to god Y/n. Never compare me to one of your bitches again-â
âBold of you to assume youâre above them. Youâre my favorite bitch-â
A quick slap caught you across the face. Heavy. Open handed. Purposeful. You didnât even bring your hand up to rub the sting. You loved the feeling. The burst of pain as you licked your lips. You loved this woman so fucking much it was intoxicating.
âYou better watch your fucking mouth and get the hell out of my houseâ, Sophia had to take a step back mainly because she didnât feel like fighting you today. Work was already stressful enough. All she wanted to do was come home and finally be able to relax. No men staring at her body, inappropriate touches and gestures she didnât ask for, the same five misogynistic comments that sheâs heard plenty of times yet seemed to stick today.
Dealing with you was the cherry on top. You watched her attitude change. Hands raising in frustration curling into balls before they dropped idly at her side. âIâm not doing this. Iâve had a rough day and Iâm going to go shower and then sleep. Whatever you decide to do is your business.â
Sophiaâs tone was absolute as she turned, stepping past you to grab her belongings. You watched her for a few moments. Eyes calculating before closing the space between you two. Despite your relationship with her or lack of you did care. Sophia tensed when you finally laid hands on her. Massaging tense shoulders.
âTalk to meâŠâ
âWe are not doin-â
âSophia just fucking talk. Stop making this so difficult and tell me whatâs on your mindâ, harsh words but a clear meaning. Sophia took a deep breath. This is exactly why you and her would never work. Everytime you two were in the same place it was like water and oil yet Sophia hated how easy it was to be around you.
âIâm tired ok. Work was shit. Articles are past due, news outlets are becoming very impatient. I just had three stories scrapped. Months of build up straight to the trash. Gavin basically called me a whore in the middle of a meeting with interns present. Iâm tired of having to constantly prove my credibility because I am a womanâŠâ
âGavin Reed?â
The tips of Sophiaâs ears turned red as she forced her way out of your arms. After everything she had said..everything all you picked up on was Gavin Reed. Men all the same. Self centered assholes.
âYou are such an asshole. After every-â
âGavin Reed, yes or noâ
âYes, fuck does it matter?! Gavin Reed, owner of Daily Express, happy now?â
âNot yet, whatâd he say. He touch you?â
Sophia scoffed mockingly. You loved to play this game as well. Her dearest knight in shining armor. Sophia didnât want a knight however, especially not in you. As handsome as you where she knew behind those pretty eyes just how much danger she was getting into. A wolf in sheepâs clothing. Appearing innocent until it was time to pounce.
However Sophia thought back to the humiliation. The heat that rose in her body. Uncomfortable. Shameful. Closing her eyes she let out a soft sigh wrapping her arms around herself. âDonât do anything illegalâŠâ
âNot illegalâŠtrust meâ, A soft kiss to Sophiaâs neck had her relaxing. Shoulders dropping as your hands caressed her body. Neck tilting to give you more access. âGo take a bath babyâŠtake as long as you need. Youâre home now. Iâll worry about Gavin..â
Sophia let out a quiet moan. Soft. Breathy. Exhausted even. Turning she stared into your eyes. Soft hues of brown. No tricks. No jokes. Soft pool she couldnât help but fall in love with. A twisted love but love no less. Soft steps carried her from the dining area towards her room. You watched her go. Eyes trailing down her body.
You loved Sophia. So why did you two play this game? You didnât know but didnât try hard enough to figure it out as well. Turning you rounded the corner. The least you could do was make her some food.
âŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâ§âËâ§
Sophia sat in the water until the heat had fully disappeared. Scented oils filled the air which helped center her mind. The salts mixed with the heat worked at relaxing her muscles. Sophia needed this. A moment alone where she didnât have to think. Let her mind empty for the first time today.
Sitting at her vanity Sophia stared at herself. Really stared. The faint show of bags underneath her eyes. The stress lines beginning to form. She took a breath. Covering her face with her hands. For a moment she wasnât recognizing herself. Sitting here now all she can see is an exhausted woman who works too hard with too little reward.
Sophia wonders why she does it. Why does she try so hard? Repeating the same cycle. Doing better each time yet steadily getting shit thrown at her. Strong hands rest on her shoulders. Her eyes open slowly looking at you.
âI made you dinnerâŠâ
âDid you..you must want somethingâ
âWhy do I have to want something? Canât a man just do something nice for his womanâŠâ
Sophia let out a dry laugh. âNow Iâm your womanâŠearlier I was your bitch. Which one is it.â
You chuckled, bending down resting your hands on her thighs. Sophia tensed staring at you through the mirror. You stared back yet your hands began to linger. Slowly drawing circles along the flesh. Fingers dangerously close to her core. Sophia bit her lower lip but never looked away.
Lips parting slightly on her own. You smirked. It was too easy. She wasnât even wearing clothes. Just a silk robe. âI hate youâ
âYou love meâ, Sophia turned around. You lowered to your knees taking one of her legs in your hands. You kissed her foot before messaging the limb. Slowly working your way up alternating between kisses and working at knots within her muscles.
Once you reached her inner thigh Sophia pushed you back lightly with her foot effectively stopping your movements. Sitting back on your knees you smirked. Her eyes trailed downward staring at the noticeable bulge in your pants. Watching as your fingers twitched ever so slightly.
âYouâre panting baby boy..â
âIâm at your complete mercy babyâŠâ, Sophia smirked, staring down at you loving the power imbalance even though it would only last for a few moments. Slowly she uncrossed her legs spreading them while pulling at the strings of her robe. The silk material falling over her shoulders.
âMake me cum and maybe Iâll let you fuck me..â
âHow many times..â
âŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâ§âËâ§
Sophiaâs right hand found your head. It didnât take long for her fingers to try and take hold of your hair. Unfortunately you had waves. 720 swirls that spiraled around your whole head. Sophia couldnât help but whimper as she moved her hand to the crown of your head pulling you closer.
You smirked behind slow laps. You didnât like rushing when you ate. Liked to savor every bite. Sophia knew this yet every time you had your head between her thighs tongue deep inside her pussy she forgot. Legs that sat on your shoulder slowly began to cross, squeezing the side of your face keeping you place.
There wasnât much room to breathe but you wholeheartedly believed you could survive off Sophiaâs pussy alone. Breathy moans filled the space. Sophiaâs left hand kneading at her nipple. Twisting the bud between her fingers as you continue to work at her clit.
Dragging at the pink bud with your teeth before swirling your tongue around the bundle of nerves loving how Sophia reacted. Back aching, fingers beginning to curl pulling you closer. Legs tightening.
You chuckled lowly the vibrations doing something to Sophia as a squeak left her throat. You alternated between nipping and sucking at her clit and dragging your tongue through her beautiful strawberry pink folds. Pushing your tongue into her entrance.
Wrapping your arms around her waist pulling her closer as if there was any space left between you. Both of Sophiaâs hands came to rest on your hand. Whimpers slipping through as she basically rose up off the vanity bench. Toes curling.
âPleaseâŠfuckâŠIâm closeâŠthere babyâŠright thereâŠfuckâŠY/n fuckâŠIâm cumming baby Iâm cummingâŠâ
You let Sophia basically hump your face as she began to ride out her high. A thin layer of sweat began to cover her body. Hair messy as she struggled to catch her breath. Slowly she unwrapped her legs from your shoulders, chest pumping rapidly as she tried to breathe. No matter how many times youâd eat her pussy sheâd never get used to the feeling.
Each time she would be left panting. Breatheless. Wanting more. You sat back on your knees staring up at her. Closed eyes, ruined pussy, body on display. All for you. You stood working at your belt. A wet patch already forming on your pants from leaking precum.
Sophia opened her eyes only once she heard the zipper. Low siren eyes stared as you began working at your boxers. Even with your dick not out Sophia could see the print. She didnât need to imagine what it looked like. Naturally two tones, pink mushroom tip followed by your brown skin. Dark hair at the base. A natural curl. Two thick veins.
Stepping out of your shoes you let your pants drop slowly before letting your briefs follow. Your cock slapping your stomach with a slight swing before standing tall. Sophia stared at it. Her legs instinctively squeezed shut as that familiar feeling sat in her stomach. She wanted that inside of her. Itâs been a while, she forgot how good it felt to be full. 8 inches of you.
âWell..on your kneesâ, Sophia rolled her eyes. Your stupid voice just had to ruin the mood. Yet she obeyed nonetheless. Not because you said anything either. Dropping to her knees Sophia held eye contact even as she grabbed your dick with slow pumps. Your precum helped lubricate your shaft but Sophia was feeling bold. Spitting on the appendage.
Your jaw tightened with a smirk as you bit the inside of your cheek. Your hand grabbing a handful of her jet black hair yanking her head back ever so slightly. You watched her face twist with pain as you slapped your dick against her cheek.
âYou better not bite me this time either..â, you lowered your dick to her lips. Sophia rolled her eyes again but the words didnât come out. Canât speak with dick in your mouth. Sophia was great at giving head. The warmth of her mouth was heavenly. Tongue flat as she pumped her head slightly. Aided by you as you still had a chunk of her hair in your hands.
âCome on..you can suck dick better than thatâ
Sophia truly didnât understand what she saw in you. You were the most infuriating person ever yet she was on her knees for you. Sucking your dick. The only dick she would ever willingly put in her body. More of your length found its way down her mouth. The tip just barely touching the back of her throat.
You let out a silent groan. Adjusting your grip on her head. Sophia let out a short gag. You glanced down. You had a smart remark but nothing came out. For once you would keep your mouth. Inch by inch Sophia took more of you inside her mouth until all 8 inches had fit snug down her throat.
You began to pump your hips slowly. Grabbing more hair in your hand as you held Sophiaâs head in place while trying to work your way deeper down her throat. Instinctively Sophia relaxed her throat as you began to thrust against her face. You couldnât resist. Her throat was just so nice and warm. Made for swallowing cock. Your cock.
Fingers buried deep as Sophia fingered herself. The feeling of being empty was starting to get to her. She didnât want your dick in her throat anymore. She wanted it to fill her womb. Stretching her perfectly while she tried milking you.
With a gag you finally removed your cock from her throat. Spit kept you connected as you let go of Sophiaâs hair before forcing her to bend over the vanity. Knees on the bench while you worked at getting your shirt off. Sophia moaned warmly as you grabbed a chunk of her ass. Right before leaving a fat open palm slap. Your hand print glowing nicely.
âLook at youâŠso quiet after you get some dick in your mouth. I donât know why you do this to yourself babyâ, Sophia groaned looking at you through the mirror. Her head dropped slightly but you were quicker and forced it back up. Her back arched as you teasingly slid your dick between her slick folds.
âY/nâŠjust shut up and fuck meâ
âBeg for itâ
Sophia glared at you. Her jaw clenched as did her pussy. She was not going to beg. Not to you. Not when you had that smug grin on your face. Wrapping your hand around her throat you gave a strong squeeze pulling her up so that her ear was at your lips.
If you pivoted just slightly then your dick wouldâve slipped inside. Sophia gasped, arching. Whining. She wanted it so bad but her pride always held her back.
âYouâre making a mess all over the benchâŠâ, Sophia whimpered. She had begun dripping. Slick running down her leg. âJust like a bitch in heat..speak Sophia. All you gotta do is askâ
âY/n I swear to god, shut the fuck up-â
You squeezed just a little tighter. Just enough for Sophia to feel it. The two of you had a stare off. Both looking so pretty in front of the mirror. The low lighting only adding the moment. âJust fuck me alreadyâŠpleaseâ
You smirked slowly releasing the pressure you had on Sophiaâs neck pressing a kiss to her neck as you aligned your dick with her entrance. âGood girl. Any bitch can learn new tricks it seems.â
âOh my god bro I sw-â
âYou were sayingâ, Sophiaâs back arched as her head dropped. Hands struggling to support her as you thrusted into her. Not a soft thrust but deep. Intentional. Rough. Soft sex wasnât a thing with you two. Your hips found a nice rocking motion. That slight curl of your tip sitting nicely in the depths of Sophiaâs pussy.
The outline of your dick visible inside her tummy. Sophia groaned, hands tangling in her hair. Eyes screwed shut. A slap made her open them again. Through the mirror she could see you. Lips parted as you held onto her waist. Each thrust left her tits bouncing.
Something about the mirror being there added a layer Sophia didnât know she needed. To see her self getting fucked out. Watching as your dick disappeared inside of her. Skin clapping. A faint musk feeling the air. Fuck.
âYou look so pretty babyâ, your thrusts had slowed as you rested your full body weight against Sophia. Hips rocking slowly. Arms wrapped around her torso. Your left hand found her boob holding it while your right hand rested on her stomach. Pressing against the bulge your dick made each time you slid inside of her.
Craning your head you bit her ear teasing. Pulling at it slightly. Savoring the feeling of your dick slowly claiming all of her pussy. Pulling all the way out until the tip remained before sliding back in with such gentleness. Sophia threw her head back. Pushing against you to meet your thrust.
âYou take my dick so wellâŠit fits so snug. Lookâ, Sophia didnât want to look but she couldnât stop herself. You had maneuvered your shared bodies to an upright position. Sophia's eyes darkened ever so slightly as she stared at the prominent bulge on her stomach.
This is not your guys first time having sex yet something about physically seeing just how deep inside her you managed to go made Sophia feel completely feral. âDeeperâŠâ
âI plan on it baby, you donât have to ask. Might even put a baby in you. Youâd like that I bet. Your womb full of my cumâ
âYou better pull outâŠâ
âReally..because you're squeezing me so nicely. Why waste such good cumâ, Sophiaâs hand curled into balls as she tried to fight the way her body responded to each thrust, each word that left your mouth. Why did you have that effect on her? The one she swore she was immune too.
âY/n I swearâŠfuckâ
âYou have me baby. Iâm right here. Just tell me what you wantâ
âŠ
âTell me Sophiaâ
âFuck I want youâŠI need you..just anything. PleaseâŠplease just fuck me..â
Smirking you took ahold of her waist bending her back over pulling out before slamming back into her. Deep. Hard. Just the way she likes it. Sophia gasped. Mouthing making an o shape as she let out a silent scream. Hair sticking to her body as you began to pick up the pace.
Low grunt left your mouth as you wrapped one arm around her neck. Pinning her. Panting in her ear. Fuck you where close. The tip of your dick pressed right against her cervix. Your thrust slowly becoming sloppy.
âIâm so close babyâŠâ, Sophia whimpered, walls clenching as you bit her ear lobe. With a strong thrust you buried your load deep inside of her. Sophia let out a scream behind her fist feeling your warm cum pool inside of her. The both of you panting slightly as you laid a trial of kisses down her spine.
A few weak pumps before sliding out of her. Watching as she basically collapsed against the vanity. Sticky cum dripping from her folds. You smirked, taking your fingers pushing it back inside. Laughing when Sophia jumped forward. Licking your fingers clean.
âŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâ§âËâ§
âYâkno you can call me when you need some dick in youâ, Sophia rolled her eyes refusing to respond. You chuckled climbing beside her. Wrapping a hand around her waist pulling her close.
âIâm just saying babyâŠYâknow Iâll come whenever you callâ
âY/n..Iâm about to kick you outâ
âYou said that the twenty other times. I think imma stay right here.â, you tightened your hold possessively and Sophia was glad you couldnât see the way her cheeks turned red at the statement because no matter what someway somehow you always needed up right beside her and Sophia fucking loved it.
âGoodnight Y/nâ
âNight Ms. Laforteza~â

As 5 or 6 I will always support these girls. They are extremely talented and I can only hope they have a successful future. This fandom needs to stop putting down 5 girls to uplift one. Katseye is 6 not 5 nor 1.

âJacob! Please get your shoes on. Iâve asked you twice now. Please go put them onâ, Manon let out a silent sigh as she turned towards her other son Matteo. Older by 3 minutes trying to get him to open his mouth so that he would eat.
âI donât wanna-â
âI didnât ask if you wanted to. Iâm telling you to go and get your shoes on. Your Auntie Daniela will be here soon to take you to school. Go put them on pleaseâ, Manon laid eyes on the seven year old. Wild curly hair, golden brown skin, deep hazel eyes.
Jacob huffed. Throwing his head back. Dropping to his knees. Manon clenched her teeth together because of course it was one of those mornings. Nobody couldâve truly prepared her for motherhood. They warned her. Told her she would have days where she wanted to rip her hair out and cry for hours but nobody physically prepared her for those moments.
Having one kid was already a lot. Having two off one pregnancy with one child being autistic was even worse. Manon loved her boys. She loved Jacob. He was always helpful. Understanding that Mommy couldnât always be at his side because Matteo required more attention. He always protected and looked after his brother.
As hard as it was for her it was just as hard for him. She understood his tantrums. Those bursts of emotions because he felt ignored or neglected as Manon tried everyday to balance her attention. Matteoâs naptime was usually Jacobâs playtime.
Mommy was all his. They would watch movies, make lunch, play with toys, occasionally sit down at the table while Manon helped with his homework. Sheâd throw an arm around him, praise his intelligence, forcing Jacob to show off more.
Jacob knew that Mommy loved him because Mommy was the best to him always yet sometimes itâs easy to forget when feelings like jealousy and envy cloud your mind. This morning everyone woke up late.
It was a late night. Matteo refused to settle. Screaming all night, Jacob refused to sleep until everyone was ok. Clutching Manonâs arm with red eyes because 12 am was way past his bedtime. Manon couldnât even redirect him if she wanted to because Jacob wasnât going to listen.
He was usually the mediator to Matteoâs tantrums. Manon thought it was the cutest thing. Maybe it was a twin thing. Matteo would have his meltdowns and only calm down when heâd seen his twin brother. Jacob always automatically knew what the autistic boy needed, saving Manon from her own mental spirals.
Last night wasnât like that. Matteo wasnât able to be soothed. He was fed, he was bathed, his sheets were clean. There was nothing physically wrong with him. It was the same routine every night. Dinner by 8. In bed by 8:30 and sleep around 9-9:15.
What made last night any different was the fact that Matteo didnât want to sleep in his safety bed. Manon didnât have one at first. Most of his life Matteo slept in a normal bed with added guard rails until he eventually began to learn how to climb out of bed. Heâd wander which oftentimes resulted in him leaving the house or raid the kitchen. He was an eloper through and through
It was a switch that the whole house was getting used to. One Matteo absolutely hated. Manon watched him kick, cry, hit, throw around the items on his bed only stepping in a few times to correct when his behavior started to trail against the lines of self harm.
Part of her wanted to give in. She was tired. He was tired. Jacob was tired. Everyone was exhausted but she couldnât. She had to teach boundaries. Rules that were non negotiable. Crying would not win the race.
She felt bad. Like a bad mother but eventually Matteo did go silent. His meltdown crashed around almost 2 am. Manon wiped her own tears. Feeling ultimately broken and defeated. Helpless though she always told herself she was strong. Turning to Jacob she grabbed his hand and led him out the room.
Tucked him in, played with his curls until he fell into a deep sleep. Manon didnât fall asleep easily that night. She didnât sleep at all really. It was hard to sleep when she kept hearing Matteoâs screams in the back of her head. Sometimes she felt like she was being punished.
Maybe this was her call to slow down. Sheâd lived her life fast in her youth. Always going. Pushing, straining, having to be the best. In everything she wanted she felt like she had to do more. Didnât take much time to stop and breathe. To soak it in. She definitely felt like god had casted something against her.
Finally finding sleep at 4 am was the reason the morning routine was thrown off. Usually everyone was up by 6:45. Jacob was always up first because his bus came at 7:15. Matteo got to sleep in because Manon drove him to his school herself.
A specialized school to help with special needs children. It helped him gain his speech. Taught him how to write. To understand this world in the way it made most sense to him. Without it Manon confidently could say sheâd be lost and Matteo would most likely be behind.
However she woke up around 9. Bus long gone and the whole morning routine thrown out of order. âWhy do I have to go..thatâs not fairâ
Light stomps echoed against the title floors. Manon felt her eye twitch as she coaxed herself to breathe. In that moment Matteo smacked the spoon hovering in front of his face out of her hand. âHey! We do not hit. You can express yourself but never put your hands on me, understood!â
Matteo screamed. Raw. Straining. Guttural. Kicking harshly as he pushed against the special made high chair. The only way Manon found assessed feeding him was possible. Too many times had her arms been left with scratches because Matteo absolutely refused to sit still.
âJacob Elijah Bannerman. Go get dressed, Now. Go!â, it was rare that Manon ever raised her voice. Rare that she let her frustrations show. These boys didnât ask to be here so they could not be punished for her emotions but she was human and all humans break even the strongest ones.
âI don-â
âHEY! Who are you talking tooâ, the house went silent. Jacob spun on his feet meeting Daniela. She was frequently over so Manon gave her a key. Jacob played with the hem of his shirt. TĂa Daniela was strict. With a snap of her fingers she pointed to the floor in front of her. Manon watched. She wasnât a fan of other people disciplining her children.
Daniela wasnât just a random person though. That was her sister. Not by blood but by everything that mattered. When Jacob didnât move fast enough Daniela snapped her fingers which prompted the boy to speed up until he was close enough for her to grab him.
âFirst, you do not tell your mother no. She should never have to repeat herself. Do you understandâ
ââŠ.yesâ
âSpeak up!â
âI understan..â
âGood. Now first apologize to your mother and then go get dressed for school.â, Jacob practically sprinted for Manon once he was released. Face pressed into her thigh while hugging her leg tightly. Tears threatened to spill. Manon sighed before bending down to hug him properly. Kiss her forehead and wipe away the stray tears.
Her boys were always emotional. Quick to apologize. Very apologetic but Manon allowed them to cry. To complain. To show their emotions. To be sensitive. Sensitivity wasnât weak. Emotions were normal. Manon was not raising boys who believed they had to be strong. Boys canât cry. None of that was in her household.
âYou look exhausted Mamasâ
âDaniâŠâ, Manon didnât have to finish as the tears clouded her eyesight. Dropping before she could stop them. Daniela gave a frown long arms wrapping around Manonâs shoulders. Silent coos as she held the older woman close.
âIâm so lost..Iâm failingâ
âMeret no. You are not failing. You are a strong and loving mother. Raising twin boys. This is your first introduction to motherhood. You literally flipped your entire life around for them. Those boys love their mother. Youâre doing so goodâ, Daniela cupped Manonâs face. The tears donât stop if anything they fell stronger.
Ugly and unfiltered. âLast night was so bad..Matteo had a meltdown and I swear I wanted to give up.â
âOh MamasâŠyou know you have me. The other girls. Manon you arenât alone. Do you want me to take Matteo too?â
Both women glanced over towards Matteo. No longer screaming. He was using his hands to eat or honestly make a mess but he was content and Manon would take the smaller victories. She had no energy for anything else at the moment but to Daniâs offer she shook her head grabbing a few wipes she kept on deck.
Manon hated feeling like a burden. The girls did help a lot out but she was the one that got pregnant. These where the consequences to her actions. Her responsibility.
âI can handle itâŠthanks for taking Jacob. I know you had plansâ, Manon mumbled, expertly taking Matteoâs hands in hers to clean them. He didnât appreciate the gesture but Manon also didnât care. At the same time Jacob finally reappeared dressed and ready for school.
âReady to go nowâ, Daniela turned towards Jacob deciding to not fight Manon. She was too stubborn anyways. To her question Jacob shook his head but it was non negotiable now. It was nearing 10:25 and Manon really needed him out the door. Setting the dirty wipes aside, Manon wiped her hands dry before bending to Jacobâs height.
âYouâre gonna have a good day today ok baby. Mommy loves you okâ
âM love mommy too but I don wanna goâ
âI know love. We all had a rough night but you already missed school yesterday remember. You will have a good day and youâll be on your best behavior, yes?â
âI be goodsâ, Jacob rose a hand to rub his eye and Manon hummed, kissing his forehead while simultaneously fluffing his curls.
âI love you so much ok. Be good at school. Iâll see you laterâ, Manon stood a few last touches to fix Jacobâs appearance moving to stand freezing when Jacob grabbed her hand.
âMy lunch?â
âMommy didnât get time to make it so youâll just have to eat the school's lunch alrightâ, Manon pulled the zipper higher on Jacobâs coat fixing the bag on his back nudging him towards Daniela. She knew what the boy was doing. Trying to stall time. Expertly Daniela grabbed the 7 year oldâs hand leading them to the door. Waving goodbye once they got outside.
Manon waited until the lock hatch clicked shut to turn her attention back to Matteo. âOk baby. Just you and Mommy. Are we gonna have a better day than last nightâ, Manon spoke softly, unclipping the tray from the high chair working at the straps around Matteoâs waist because he in fact knew how to stand up in his seat before lifting him in her arms.
âFirst we are gonna get-â
Doorbell. Manon quieted turning towards the front door stepping over loose toys before casually opening the door. Worry shifted into relief. Just Sophia and Lara. Only here because Daniela had to have texted them because of course she did. Manon loved her girls though. Met them in college thankful to have stayed close even in their thirties.
âWhat are you girls doingâ
âIt is a crime to stop bye and check on our favorite motherâ, Lara stepped inside first immediately reaching for Matteo. Only for Matteo to wave her off with a sharp no twisting so that his face was resting against Manonâs collarbone.
âHeâs not feeling it today..I just got Jacob out the doorâ
âYea we saw him and Dani leaving. He was not happyâ
Manon rolled her eyes shortly. âYea heâs upset he has to go to school because he thinks Matteo is staying home but little does he know Matteo is also going to schoolâ
âHow about we take Matteo and you get yourself readyâ, Manon wanted to object but Sophia was already grabbing the boy. Even as he complained and kicked his legs. Something none of them were surprised about yet before Manon could say anything more Sophia and Lara were already down the hall towards Matteoâs room.
Manon let the water soak her head to toe just standing underneath the heat. Muscles tense. She could never relax. Always had to be on go mode. Jacob needed this. Money for the book fair or for a school trip or it was Matteo needed new meds. Needed more supplies. Her boys were her world. Her reason to live sheâd spare her own needs if it meant theyâd live happier. Sacrifices of a mother.
âManon..you ok in thereâ, a knock on the door followed by a slow turn of the knob as Manon stepped out. Clean and fully dressed. Curly hair thrown into a bun because she didnât have the time to tend to it.
âLetâs go..â
âŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâ§âËâ§
âUm excuse me MarissaâŠmy code itâs not workingâ, Manon turned towards the front desk moving away from the keypad door lock.
âDid you type it in correctlyâ, Manon had to stop herself from physically rolling her eyes at the question. Marissa wasnât her favorite person. Honestly she didnât think any of the parents like Marissa much. Howâd she get stuck behind the front desk was beyond Manonâs comprehension. She shouldnât be allowed near special needs kids anyways.
âYes. Itâs the same 9 numbers for the past 6 monthsâ
âNo need to get upset. Whatâs your name and the childâs nameâ
Manon had to mentally will herself to not cause a scene because Marissa knew exactly who she was. Just another thing to get underneath Manonâs skin if she could. âMeret Bannerman and my sonâs name is Matteo Bannermanâ
To Manonâs right Sophia walked up beside her eyes furrowed in confusion while Lara sat with Matteo. He was content playing with the toys the lobby had provided, rolling a car back and forth while making noises with his mouth. Occasionally heâd land a few off to Lara.
âRight..ok Ms Meret is seems like you missed your last few payments so unfortunately-â
âMissed payments? This is a school not a daycare? And I paid at the start of the year-â
âYes I have record of that. You registered through your insurance company which does cover the cost but because you make more money you have been taken off our extended care listâ
âWhat?! Extended Care Listâ
âWhen you register through insurance it automatically tells us that you are in need of more help. Your insurance company covers the cost of monthly payments and any additional fees depending on the care your child might need. We understand Matteo is on the higher end so we have to separate him with the teachers and carers trained to handle his needs. However because youâre income is higher than most families youâve been removed from that list because the program is catered towards low income householdsâ
It was silent for a moment. Families coming and going but Manon was frozen. Unable to speak as she tried to decipher the amount of bullshit that had just been laid onto her. âFirst of all paying through insurance doesnât mean that Iâm broke-â
âI was not implying that-â
âNo! That is exactly what you were implying because you know my situation Marissa so please do not play that clueless card right now!â, Manon raised her voice looking at the woman in front of her. Saying low income like Manon was supposed to be living in poverty in exchange for help.
She wasnât even able to get an actual job because Matteo required so much care and attention. The state was giving her 3000 dollars but that wasnât much when rent for her home was 1700, Mateoâs medicine wasnât covered by insurance so she had to pay for that out of pocket. She still had to keep food in her home. With prices now she was spending around 200 dollars just to take 5 bags back to the house.
She didnât have any other source of income. No husband to help. She was a single mother taking care of twin boys by herself for the past 7 years. Going from shelter to shelter at the beginning of her pregnancy to just barely getting help once it was close to her due date.
âIf that was the case how come I was never notified. Everyday I bring Matteo in this building, I watch you look me in the eye with that fake ass smile as I walk him back towards his classroom but now all of a sudden I make too much money and the cost of his education is based on monthly fees and priced at which side of the spectrum he sits on?!â
Manon couldnât contain her anger brushing Sophiaâs hand off her arm. She felt insulted and ultimately humiliated. Hot tears collecting in her eyes. Anger morphing into deep sadness. Manon was tired. Tired of trying so hard to do the right thing and getting nothing in return. Only being heard when she stooped to begging on her knees.
âMama sadsâ, Matteo pouted, tugging at her pants. Small face contorted into a frown. Manon swallowed, taking a deep breath as she wiped her tears. She would not waste her tears over this place. Obviously they give a fuck about her or her son. So she didnât give a fuck about them.
âNo no..Mama isnât sad. Mama is happy the devil finally presented itself. Come on, how about we go and get Jacob from school and have a Mama, Jacob and Matteo dayâ, Manon managed to smile even as her tears fell freely. She didnât say anything else to Marissa, just turned and left the building holding Matteo close while struggling to say strong.
Only once Matteo was strapped in his seat and the door was shut Manon finally broke down. Sophia and Lara were there to catch her immediately but it didnât erase everything that had happened. Especially the humiliation she felt.
âOh ManonâŠwe got you Manzâ, Lara pulled back first to wipe Manonâs tears while Sophia continued to hug her.
âI try so hard..I justâŠwhat am I doing wrongâ
âYou arenât doing anything wrong babes. Youâre the best mother to those boys. Donât doubt yourself for a second.â, Sophia rested her hands on Manonâs shoulders moving to cup her face. Strong hands holding her up because Manon was sure without them she probably wouldn't have had her sons now.
There was a time during the start of her pregnancy when the boyâs father; a man who shall not be named, opted for her to abort and forget about it. Manon thought about it. She was in college, a whole country away from her home. She almost considered it but now 7 years in the future she couldnât imagine being without her sons.
âJust look at this as a blessing in disguise. Weâll figure this out. Manon, you have us. Daniela, Sophia, Me, Yoon and Megan. We are sisters for life. We got youâ, Manon found herself smiling slightly at Laraâs words moving to gently wipe her tears. It was overwhelming. Moving at 100 she tended to forget just how much love and care she was surrounded by.
Guess college really is the foundation to meeting the best people in your life. âI love you guys so much..â
âWe love you ManonâŠyou are strong. Fuck them and keep doing whatâs best for you boysâ, Sophia chuckled making them all collectively laugh but it was mainly just to put a smile back on Manonâs face. Patting her face dry, Manon took a few breaths before nodding. Turning back to the car shortly to check on Matteo.
Surprisingly he was fine but Manon knew it wouldnât be long until he started to get restless. âWell Iâm going to go and get Jacob from school. We all need a lazy dayâ
âStay safe girl. We love youâ
âCall us if you need anythingâ
âŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâ§âËâ§
âHi, Iâm Jacobâs mom. I know he got to school a little late but I was coming to just take him homeâ, Manon rested a hand on Matteoâs head while looking at the front desk lady.
âName?â
âMeret Bannerman, Jacob Bannerman is my sonâ
âJacob is currently at recess with Mr. Harris. You're more than welcome to go get him, just go down this hall and then the double doors on your left. Itâll lead straight to the playgroundâ, Manon nodded in thanks, grabbing Matteoâs hand to pull him away from the front desk.
âDylan! Youâre about to sit and watch everyone play if you canât play nice. Elise already told you to stop so leave her alone. We just talked about boundaries this morningâ, Manon watched the boy in question tip toe around nervously. Hands raised to convey innocence but your gaze remained stern as a you beckoned him closer.
âHey..youâre not in trouble ok. Iâm not angry but if someone doesnât want to play with you you accept that and respect their space. Thatâs the second time Elise had to tell you no. You got plenty of other friends out here ok to play with. Play with them or Iâll have to move you into the yellow and send a note to mom. Do you want me to send a note homeâ
Dylan shook his head, dragging his toes against the black top. You nodded tilting his head up just slightly so that eye contact could be made. âI donât wanna send a bad note home either. Thereâs 15 minutes left of recess go have funâ
With a fist bump and a slight ruffle of the boyâs hair Manon watched as you sent him on his way. Clearing her throat she tapped your shoulder while picking Matteo up in her arms. âExcuse me, Iâm Jacobâs mom. I was going to take him homeâ
âDang it. You're stealing my little buddy away from me. Y/n Harris by the way, itâs nice to meet youâŠ-â
âMeret Bannerman but you can call me Manonâ
âManonâŠthat's a French name?â
âYes..but Iâm Swiss. Not Frenchâ, Manon bumped Matteo higher watching you nod while dropping her hand.
âFrom Switzerland to California..I couldnât imagine that culture shockâ, you hummed before turning back towards the playground calling Jacobâs name. You watched the boy run over bouncing a basketball up and down, easily stealing it from it.
âHey!â
âWhat..remember what I told you. Eyes up at all times.â, you smiled ruffled his hair. Manon watched the interaction. Something different in her eyes as she watched how easily you moved with Jacob. It was hard to believe just a few hours ago he was begging to stay home.
âCome on little man. Eyes up, dominate hand as your guide. Hey, you got this. Get the ball backâ, Jacob launched forward. Sloppy no technique so easily you punished him swapping hands so that he swatted at air.
âThatâs not fair..â
âTry again. You give up too easily. What did I say?. Eyes up. Control your body. Think about what you wanna do before you do it. Donât just jump at the ballâ, Manon stared at Jacob. She knew that boy didnât have any patience yet she watched as he took a deep breath. Eyes watching the ball as you bounced it up and down. Switching hands.
With a strong swipe he almost managed to get the ball but you bounced it between your legs. Jacob huffed. Manon figured this is where the whining would come but it didnât. Jacob only gritted his teeth before finally managing to knock the ball cleanly from your hands. Of course you let him but you celebrated his achievement no less.
âSee what you did there. You waited. You stayed patient. Stayed focused. So you gotta apply that same mentality in all of your life. Donât let yourself get easily frustrated, just slow down and allow yourself to fail because youâll eventually end up getting it okâ, Jacob nodded and you smiled, raising your hand high so he could jump and hit it.
âGood, now go get your stuff so your mom can take you homeâ
âHuh? Mommy!!â, Manon laughed as Jacob barreled into her.
âReady to go home loveâ, Manon glanced down towards Jacob fingers threading through his curls watching as Jacob pulled back with a slight frown.
âWait I donât want to leave Mommyâ, Jacob stepped back shaking his head. Manon furrowed her eyebrows shifting Matteo in her arms pulling his fingers from playing with her earrings. âI want to stay please Mommy. I wanna stay with Mr. Harrisâ
Manon glanced down at Jacob watching as he skipped over towards you grabbing your pants. Manon watched you glance down shortly, one hand resting on Jacobâs shoulder as you easily threw a soccer ball back into the field of boys playing.
âMr. Harris! I wanna stay with youâ, Jacob pressed his face against your leg while tightening his arms as if someone was gonna pry him off. Confused, you glanced down at him before glancing towards Manon.
âYou gotta listen to Mom budâ, Jacob shook his head clutching tighter. The behavior didnât surprise you but it did surprise Manon. Her kids weren't friendly. All they knew was her and the girls. To see Jacob respond like this towards you made a lot of thoughts form in her head.
âNo! I wanna stay. I donât wanna leave. Please Mr. Harris I wanna stayâ, Jacob stared up at you still clinging to your leg in hopes that youâd keep him.
âYea but Mom came all the way out here to see you champ. Youâll be back tomorrow ok.â, with a nudge Jacob pouted but released himself from your leg before shuffling towards Manon. She grabbed his hand heading towards the door but not without glancing towards you one more time.
â5 MINUTE WARNINGâ
âŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâ§âËâ§
Becoming a teacher wasnât your dream career path. Like all children you had large goals and aspirations. First you wanted to be a police officer. Your uncle was a field agent and growing up you only had him as your role model. Through everything every time he put his uniform on you knew he was going to make the world just a little safer.
Then you reached 5th grade and you didnât want to be a police officer anymore. Too many talks of brutality dimmed the light on that section of your life. So instead of a police officer you wanted to be in the army. It was kinda the same thing. At least that's what you pieced together in your mind.
It also sounded better amongst your peers. You grew up in Crenshaw. Known as low class, crime stricken, low income high in poverty; saying you wanted to be a police officer always got looks. Labeled you as a mark. A young black man wanted to help the people being harm to his race. Definitely a mark.
Your uncle wasnât like that. He was the kindest person you knew. Stopping to help the homeless when others would simply pass them by. You remember watching the same man go and buy beer with the money your uncle gave him.
âHe just got beer with your money Ronnieâ
âYea he did and heâll keep doing it. No matter if I gave him 10 or 50 dollarsâ
âSo why you keep giving him handouts if he just gonna waste itâ
âIt seems pretty stupid doesnât but whatâs more stupid is pretending he isnât there. Now I canât stand the man up and take him to the nearest shelter but I can stop and show him that I see him. Pray that one day he sees himself.â, your uncle was super philosophical in ways your 11 year old brain couldnât understand.
From military you flipped to basketball. Playing it every weekend with the neighborhood kids made you think you were a pro baller. Oftentimes you believed you were the next Kobe or Tim Duncan. Basketball was the main focus until you reached your sophomore year of highschool.
You still played ball but you started paying attention to your surroundings. You didnât have classes with the kids you grew up with. Some of them didnât even make it to high school. You still see them hanging on the street. Doing the same thing they did at 10 years old.
âHey Uncle Ronnie, can I talk to youâ, you stared at your uncle from the doorway of his study only stepping inside once he nudged his head sitting a bit taller. âI grew up in Crenshaw just like those other kids so why am I the only one taking AP classes..?â
âCus those kids donât want it as bad as you doâ
âWant what?â
âA life. A future beyond this town. You have goals. Dreams. A need to better yourself. You want to live in those houses with a big yard and have a dog to run around.â
âI thought everyone wanted thatâ
âThey do but not everyone has the motivation to work for it. A lot of your peers want whatâs easy. Itâs easy to get up and stand on the corner. Easy to be loud, shoot dice, throw rocks at cars. Do whatâs expected of them. Itâs not easy to get up, go to school, work hard, study for that test.â, you bit your lip listening to your uncle talk because he said it in such a way that was straight forward. Exactly to the point. No excuses, just raw facts.
âThatâs how your daddy was and I love my brother but he was content doing everything easy. Itâs hard going to work everyday but itâs easy selling drugs and making 200 dollars in 30 minutes. Itâs also not just his fault. He didnât have anyone telling him he could be something or that he had more to give.â, your Uncle Ronnie shifted sliding papers to the side while fixing the glasses that sat on his face. You sat up a bit more as well.
âBut you didnât turn out that way..and you and my dad have the same parentsâ
âMhm youâre right but like I said before your daddy didnât want to change. He was fine doing life easy. I wasnât. I saw those white kids go on field trips, watched them be able to afford the snacks at lunch..â,
You and your uncle exchanged more words but ultimately you took that information to school the next day. You walked the same way as everyday watching the kids hang on the corner. The same corner your dad stood on. One most people thought youâd be on.
In your AP English class you tapped your foot blindly on the floor while picking up half of what the teacher was saying. You couldnât focus on the lesson because you were too busy looking around the room. Only one other student had your same black skin. It was a class of 25 and only one other black person.
At that moment basketball felt like a hobby. You often thought about what you wanted to be when you grew up and ultimately you wanted to help people. You wanted to see more of your people in these classes. Future Class Presidents and Valedictorian. Aw
It started at home. Started young so when you graduate a year early you went straight to college. Something in you said donât go to an over the stop college. You wanted to stay close to home so that you could stay close to the community. So that way on your way home youâd pass the local park and hand out juice and snacks to the little kids waiting.
Theyâd happily tell you how good theyâve done. Kids who used to fail their spelling test now coming back with fully filled out papers. It dawned on you that many didnât have the same encouragement that you had. This changed that. Responsibilities became real and the need to be more grew.
Choosing 1st grade felt like the perfect age to install boundaries and structure into children. It was that first level to life and you wanted to be that person to introduce that choices now mattered a whole lot in the future. A few teachers questioned your methods. You weren't strict but you didnât give chances.
âThey are 6-7 year olds you have to be easy on themâ
âY/n they are babiesâ
âThey donât know any betterâ
That couldnât be further from the truth. 6-7 wasnât a baby nor a toddler. 6 to 7 years old, those kids were able to understand that their actions had consequences. They knew right from wrong and the only problem was treating them like they didnât. Coddling them when they should be in a time out to think about their actions.
Not enough teachers wanted to impact these childrenâs lives. The pay wasnât even good to halfass the job. However when your 2nd and 3rd graders kept coming back to tell of their achievements or when children willingly wanted you to chaperone their classes for field days it told you that you didnât need to change a single thing.
Angry parents be damned. You were the one basically raising their children. A knock on your classroom door made you look up from the mountain of papers you had been grading. Placing the no name worksheets aside. Grades mattered. Those students would come in the next day names in the red and maybe that would teach them to write their names on their paper.
âHey..Mrs.Bannerman right. Iâm Y/n Harris, Jacobâs teacher and Iâm glad you wanted to have this meetingâ, You grabbed Manonâs hand in a firm shake before stepping aside to let her into the classroom. A space already set up for the two of you to talk.
You loved when parents got involved. Wanted to set up random parent teacher conferences. Manon gave a closed lipped smile while helping Matteo into the classroom.
âHi, thank you for meeting with me. Itâs Ms not Mrs though but Manon is just fineâ
âOh..I apologize. Have a seat Manon..â, You gestured for the chair testing out how her name sounded on your tongue. You cleared your throat. Remain professional. Manon smiled again, shy eyes glancing at the ground as she guided Matteo to sit beside her.
âItâs fine. I just wanted to check on my sonâs progress. How heâs performing in class and academicallyâ, Manon sat her bags aside trying to get Matteo situated while also giving you her full attention. You could tell she was slightly embarrassed.
There was just a dull light in her eye as she tried to control the boy next to her. You stood forgetting your student binder but also to grab a few more items. First a few coloring pages, some stress toys that had never been opened and finally your snack bin and a juice from the mini fridge you kept in your room.
âFruit Punch or Kiwiâ, you held the two flavors out for Matteo. Manon stared. Like a bear protecting her cub. For the past few days itâs been her and Matteo. The lack of school and change in routine left the boy attached to her. More than usual making her feel ultra protective.
Matteo stared before turning his body towards Manon. Whining. Easily you grabbed his arm straightening him out. Two options if he wanted it heâd have to pick. âMom canât pick for you. Pick oneâ, Manon was ready to step in. Ready to tell you to step back. To tell you to stay in your line but managed to stay quiet as Matteo slowly reached for the Fruit Punch capri sun in your left hand.
âNow would you like a snack? Uh nuh Iâm asking you not mom.â, Matteo stared and ultimately nodded making you lower the snack bin to his height. He pulled out a pack of goldfish and some fruit snacks. You let them keep both before playing the few coloring pages down along with crayons.
âAutism?â
âExcuse me?â
âIs your son Autistic, sorryâ, you cleared your throat. The delivery was kinda off you had to admit. Manon nodded and you could see her shoulders sink just a bit.
âYes. His name is Matteo. He and Jacob are fraternal twins.â, Manon shifted closer resting her hand on Matteoâs head.
âIâve heard Jacob mention it a few times. Is he currently in school?â, you werenât trying to pry. Not really but you were curious. Jacob was your little buddy and maybe you knew just a little of his perspective.
âWeâre in between schools right now. He was going to Golden Gate but it was not the right fit for us. So itâs just been me and him for the past few weeks. Ainât that right Bubba.â, Manon glanced over but Matteo was paying no attention as the snacks and color pages held his attention.
You knew the reputation surrounding Golden Gate. Great school for special needs or high functioning children but not one you would recommend. Their curriculum works but it was heavily catered to a specific brand of people.
âOh I know all about Golden Gate. Great school but they arenât as transparent as they should be. Have you ever thought about enrolling him here?â
âIsnât it too late?â
âI could pull some strings. Definitely donât want to keep him out of his routine for long and heâd be fine in my class.â, Manon stared at you before staring at Matteo. She really didnât have any other choices besides home schooling but she knew Matteo benefited from third party schooling. He needed the classroom setting and a desperate need for routine back into his schedule.
âI would really appreciate that. I am a first time mom and single mother so all of this is new to meâ
âI understand I'm a single dad. Raising babies never gets easier. Each day is a lesson to be learnedâ, you unconsciously grabbed her hand from across the table. Squeezing slightly. âBut Jacob talks high of you ManonâŠso I have no doubt that you are a good motherâ
The room went silent for a few moments, both of you just staring at one another. Something about Manon other than her beauty intrigued you and something about you. Your patience. Your dedication intrigued her. You only spoke once Matteo let out a few babbles. Breaking the raising tension either of you knew had begun to settle.
âAnyways letâs talk about JacobâŠâ
âŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâ§âËâ§
âMr. Harris! My mommyâs coming on the field trip.â, you turned towards Jacob, the small boy running straight into your legs. It was too rainy to play outside so recess in the gym it was. Glancing down at him you smiled softly.
âOh yea..the one to the science museumâ
âMhmm!! I asked her and she say yes! Are you gonna be there tooâ
âOf course I will. You think I would miss a trip to the science museum. No wayâ, Jacob let out a giggle as you ruffled his hair. Twisting so he could escape your grip but coming back seconds later to reattach himself to your leg.
âDo you like my mommyâ, the question had you breaking your neck to look down at the boy. A laugh passed through your lips as you bent down to his height. His own squeaky giggles reached your eyes as you tickled his stomach.
âWhat?!â
âDo you like my mommy. You always talks to hers after schools. You want my mommy to be yours girlfriendâ, you couldnât help but laugh because of the audacity of this little boy and because truthfully you had nothing to say. Nothing to deny the statement. Since that first day youâd seen her you just knew something about this woman was different.
The way she held herself but also the way she catered to her kids. How often she made it her mission to show up. The right balance of patience yet discipline. You tried to meet women. Gone on many dates but they never stuck. You could not see yourself opening your home nor heart for anyone that wasnât your daughter. Yet Manon had you completely infatuated.
âMr. H, you're blushing!! You like my mommy!!â
âMan go play because your recess is upâ, you managed to push him off your leg and back into the sea of kids not missing his giggles as he ran away. You couldnât help but shake your head trying not to give him much of a reaction. It didnât help that he was basically screaming it around the gym.
Moments like this made you question why you became a teacher. The field trip came quick. For the past three days it was all your students talked about but they were 1st graders and their work still got done so you didnât say much. Only redirecting when needed.
âMr. Harris! Dis my auntie. Her name is Daniela. Say hiâ, Jacob used all his might to push you towards a woman you did not recognize but you extended your hand politely anyways.
âHello..Iâm Y/n Harris. Jacob and Matteoâs teacher. Itâs nice to meet you Danielaâ, you tried to make the interaction short and less awkward than it already was. Daniela was nice though. Understanding. Easy on the eyes. Used to Jacobâs tactics.
âI have six aunties and you have to meet dem all if your gonna date my mommy and you better be nice to them because I will beated yous up if you notâ, you watched Jacob stand arms crossed, eyebrows furrowed trying to look intimidating as if he wasnât a short twig.
He ran off towards a smaller group of children before you could correct him leaving you stuck in place with Daniela. Quickly you turned towards her, clapping your hands together trying to stop the blood flow to your cheeks. âIâm sorry-â
âItâs ok. Kids are unpredictable. Always gonna love them thoughâ, you nodded licking your lips forcing your face to stay straight not knowing how to correctly leave this interaction. Leave it up to your kids to embarrass you. Correction just Jacob.
âSorry I must get back to y'know herding the kids aroundâ, Daniela gave a smile and you returned it depleted of your usual confidence as you quickly turned the other direction. A part of you wanted to find Jacob. Grab him by the legs and shake him around like a ragdoll.
Unfortunately you didnât find Jacob the kid fair gone at some tsunami exhibit but you did find Manon and Matteo. There was no reason why you approached them besides the fact that Jacob wasnât wrong in his teasing. You did like his mom. You liked Manon a lot. Calls about the boy's progress became talks about your respective days.
She liked hearing you rant about the day. Hearing about the class and what your students managed to get into while you enjoyed hearing about hers. Finding yourself smiling at how she got excited over simple chores. Loving her enthusiasm in even the smallest things. âEnjoying yourselfâ
Resting a hand on the small of Manonâs back she jumped back hand over her heart before relaxing realizing it was just you. A soft smile graced her features as Matteo played in a sand pit. However with each mountain of sand moved the geographical map changed along with it.
âYes! We are having a good time. Arenât we bubbaâ, Manon kissed Matteoâs cheek. The boy scrunched his face but didnât pull away. You smiled warmly resting a hand on Matteoâs head.
âIâm glad. Itâs a nice little break for everyone. So many years living in this state and I forget how much I never really explored itâ, you hum leaving forward slightly subconsciously pulling Manon closer. The two of you looking like parents to a small boy rather than strangers to one another.
Manon didnât say anything. If she didnât speak verbally then her heart said everything. It had been so long since she had allowed herself to love. The last person she ever loved was her children's father. She thought theyâd live together. Raise their boys but no. Manon was left alone to pick herself up and quickly find a way to stabilize herself for the arrival of her twins.
Her children were her priority so love had slipped her mind over the years especially once learning Matteo was autistic she really wasnât looking for a man but instead put all her focus into making sure her boys were loved and had everything they needed. Thatâs not to say she didnât want love, she just wasnât actively looking. Yet every moment spent with you had her missing that feeling.
The way you stared at her like she was the only thing that mattered. The way you showed love to her boys. Balancing their time perfectly. Recess was usually Jacobâs time. Youâd run circles with him. Play any and all his games heâd make up.
Lunch time was your one on one with Matteo. The cafeteria was too loud so you and him would eat together. Heâd munch while sitting on your lap taking control of your phone while you would grade worksheets and work on your computer. Extra steps you didnât have to take.
Yet you did it anyway. Without being told. Without wanting something in return but simply because thatâs where your heart was. Testing boundaries Manon wrapped her arms around your bicep before interlacing your fingers.
You noticed. She felt a strong surge of butterflies rise in her stomach. She was 32 and feeling like she was a teenager talking to her first boyfriend but then you leaned over and kissed the top of her head while squeezing her hand. âYouâre really beautiful today.â
You spoke softly holding Matteo in your freehand as the three of you moved through the large building. Never too far from the group but also in your own little bubble. Other teachers noticed but all took the collective decision to let the two of you be.
âThank you..I guess you look okâ
âWhat!? Ok? Oh so your playingâ
âI meanâŠyou do look a little goodâ, Manon smirked teasingly, making you turn towards her with your own smirk making its way on your face. âOk ok..you look handsome. I like this casual look on you but I prefer your suits and ties.â
Manon winked pulling Matteo from your arm. Oh this woman was going to be the death of you. You followed after her grabbing her waist teasingly lowering your mouth to her ear. âI bet youâd like to see what I look like when I take them off as wellâ
You moved aside smirking at Manonâs audible gasp. You had her and man did she have you.
âŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâ§âËâ§
âYou got your shoes onâ, Jacob nodded, raising his feet for you to see. You nodded, tying the laces to Matteoâs shoes.
âAlright, go get your coat on. And tie your shoes before you trip. Jordyn are you readyâ, you turned your attention from the boys to your daughter. Two years older at 10 but very well mannered you didnât have to direct her much.
âIâm ready Daddyâ, you nodded, zipping up Matteoâs coat. It wasnât cold but the morning dew hadnât left yet so you wanted them to bundle up just in case.
In the back room. Your room Manon slept. The two of you had been getting more serious. There was an undeniable pulse between you and you would be lying if you said you donât want to explore it. Didn't want it to mean something. She was thirty-two and you were thirty-five y'all weren't gonna get younger and didnât need to beat around the bush like children.
You kissed her head before grabbing your phone off the side table letting her sleep in more. You figured she needed the rest. You knew she needed the rest. She deserved peace and quiet for all that sheâs done. 7 years nonstop on her own. You wanted to give her a break. You and the kids left the house quietly.
Loading up into your car and set off on your morning adventure. You decided to keep them for the morning. First it was breakfast. IHOP was the restaurant of choice. You didnât realize how much you would enjoy yourself. How happy it makes you seeing your daughter taking so easy to the boys.
She was helpful towards Matteo, playful with Jacob. Sometimes you didnât realize how much your daughter benefited from everything as well. The boys didnât have a dad but they had you. A male figure in their lives to guide them. Jordyn didnât have a mom. Jordyn was dropped on you and her mom left. For 10 years not a word. You had to teach yourself how to braid hair, to buy the right clothing and styles, often having to stop and ask because you had no idea what you were doing.
Jordyn loved Manon. Manon could do her hair. They could talk about boys and gossip in ways only women could. Manon would make her look pretty. They would play in make up together or dress up like princesses cause they could. Oftentimes Jordyn spent the nights begging if she could see Manon while repeatedly asking if you were gonna marry her.
Occasionally sheâd steal your phone so that her and Manon could spend hours on FaceTime. You always watched from afar and each time it only solidified what you already knew. You did want to marry this woman. You wanted two households to become one. You loved Manon, you just had to say it.
Manon woke up a little after 12. She opened her eyes slowly stretching out to the other side of the bed only stopping when she was met with cold sheets. Manon sat up quickly, eyes searching as she slid out of bed.
âY/n!â, no response. The house wasnât big. Just enough room to fit you and your daughter. On top of that the walls were thin so it was easy to hear voices or if the tv was on. Yet Manon didnât hear a thing. Her heart pounded in her chest as she scrambled for her phone. Where were her kids? Where were you?
Hearing the front door opening, Manon scrambled out of the back room. Phone hanging off the dresser by the charger forgotten in an instant her heart stopped once she saw her boys. You watched with mild confusion as she grabbed Jacob and then Matteo.
âManon-â
âStop! You stopâ, you took a step back not used to this show of aggression or anger from Manon. All your interactions had been sweet. Soft moments filled with laughter, understanding, patience and this unfiltered love youâve never felt before.
âWait Manon just stop for a moment-â, you reached for her hand which she quickly snatched from your touch as she urged Jacob and Matteo to put their coats and shoes back on.
âJordyn, you three go to my room just for a moment.â, you turned towards your daughter who easily grabbed Jacob and Matteoâs hand pulling them out of the living room and into your room. Knowingly Jordyn shut the door leaving you alone with Manon finally.
âOk what is wrong-â
âYou donât do that! Ever. You donât disappear with my kids and donât tell me Y/nâ
Manon slapped your hands off her shoulders, hands getting lost in her hair as she pulled slightly. Chest pumping rapidly with fear. Slowly you took a step forward reaching to cup her face. You could see the unleashed tears as she tried to calm her breathing.
âOk first just breathe. Baby breathe. The boys are safe. Y'know I would never allow anything to happen to themâ
âYou canâtâŠyou canât take them without letting me know. I didnât know where they were. You were gone. They couldâve gotten out the house..those are my babies nothing can happen to themâ, Manonâs lip quivered relief flooding her senses because her boys were safe but it didnât erase her initial fear. Any could have happened and Manon didnât want to think about those what ifs.
âYouâre right. I should have said something. I honestly thought weâd be out for just an hour or two but after breakfast the kids wanted to play..so we went to the park it got hot so we got froyo..you had been asleep they woke up early and I just wanted to give you some quiet so you could sleep. Manon, I would never bring harm to those boys.â, you used your thumbs to wipe her fallen tears. Manon leaning into the touch slightly.
âI woke up and I didnât see them. I didnât hear them. Those are my boys Y/n..â
âAnd I understand. Iâm sorry. I shouldâve told you. Wrote a note. Woke you up. Thatâs my fault.â, Manon pulled away, taking a deep breath while covering her face with her hands. Shoulders tense refusing to drop. You didnât blame her. Didnât rush her, just allowed her to calm down.
If youâd woken up and your daughter wasnât there youâd react the same. âCan I touch you..hug youâ
You took small steps. Manon didnât verbally respond but didnât decline either. Testing you wrapped your arms around her neck from behind. She leaned into your touch before turning to rest her head against your chest. Kissing the top of her head you pulled back grabbing her face once more.
âManon, I love you. I want to love you. I know youâve been hurt before but I want to give you that love you deserve. You deserve to be held, to be worshipped, to be loved. Allow me to treat you how you deserve to be treated. I want to be the role model those boys need. I want Jordyn to have a mother. I donât need years to decide what I want. Iâm a grown man and I want you. All of you. Unfiltered and raw. Be my womanâŠâ
Manon stared up at you. Fresh tears collected in her eyes. Itâs been a long time since she opened her heart. Since she allowed herself to be vulnerable. To be held. To not have to be the one to carry all the strength. She wanted someone she could feel pretty with. Who she could be feminine. Submissive and soft for.
âI havenât loved in so longâŠ-â
âThen letâs learn how to love together. Let me show youâ, you held her chin in between your fingers staring down at her. Manon stared back. Searching but she didnât find anything but warmth. She wanted you so badly. So badly it scared her.
âI..I love you too. Fuckâ
You smirked closing distance. âYea..â
âYesss..~â
âCan I kiss you?â
âPleaseâ

âŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâ§âËâ§
The first time meeting Yoonchae was like seeing an angel in real life. You knew nothing about her, just that she was a pretty girl who happened to walk into the dinner you worked at. You remember following her as the hostess led her to her seat.
You weren't looking with any intention other than to admire. She definitely wasnât attracting any attention but she had caught your eye and you couldnât look away. Skin that gleamed in the sunlight, hair that cascaded down her shoulders with eternal grace.
To say you pounced to be her waiter was a bit of an understatement. You weren't trying to be weird but you saw many people come and go but none never managed to leave you mesmerized like she had. The establishment itself was quiet. A small bakery packed into a small part of town that only locals and regulars knew about.
Usually college studies, older couples or the same 5 groups of friends came. Regulars, people you knew by name because you cared enough to make sure you left an impact on their day even just by a little. Yet this girl..youâve never seen before.
Half admiration but also curiosity had you standing in front of her. You didnât rush her to speak only waited until she noticed your presence. Cheeks turning red from embarrassment of having you wait. There was no wait at all but the small gesture made you clear your throat as you pulled out your tablet.
âHey my name is Y/n and Iâll be your server for the day. Do you know what you want or need a more time to decideâ, you managed to speak without stuttering, surprising yourself. Usually around pretty girls you would never keep your words straight. Always fumbling. Making a fool of yourself.
For a moment Yoonchae stared. Her gaze was pretty intimidating. You lowered your own. To your male peers you were kinda the runt. Small frame, crooked posture because you chose to slouch a lot, messy hair, baggy clothes with wrinkles in them.
You could hear your mother in the back of your head. Repreminding you to stand taller, keep your chin raised. Speak with confidence, move with elegance and grace. Straighten out your clothes and try to maintain your hair.
No woman wants a dirty man. One who looks unkempt. You weren't dirty. You had good hygiene and cared about your appearance, you just lacked confidence besides the thought that this pretty lady would even consider who was a bold thought in your mind.
Who were you to assume she was single anyways. You weren't that type of man either. You were raised by women. Mother, older sisters, aunties, a few uncles but not around enough to teach you how to be a âmanâ. You did have your grandfather though.
Pops was old school. Respectful. Only married one woman, stayed loyal and even after her death never sought out another woman. He taught you how to treat women, to respect them, hold the door, buy them gifts, don't wait for them to ask or make the bare minimum seem like luxury.
Maybe he was a little boring and too old school at times. Strict as hell but his lessons stuck. Each one meaning more than the last.
âCan you speak uh slowlyâ, Yoonchae bit her lip nervously while staring at the menu. You understood immediately standing a bit taller.
âYea sorry. Iâm Y/n. Youâve never been here before Iâm guessingâ, You made sure to speak slowly and clearly. You had a habit of mashing words together or speaking too fast not even you could understand yourself. Yoonchae nodded, turning to glance back down at the laminated menu.
âWhat do you recommend..â
âUh it depends. Usually I get our lemon pound cake with an iced caramel drizzle.â, You hunched over slightly pointing to the picture on the menu. Before moving your finger lower to a few sandwiches.
âWe also have a-â
âJust the cake and iced caramelâŠhow you would eat itâ
âLike how I personally make it?â, you took a step back slightly surprised. It wasnât an odd request, just not one you werenât expecting but Yoonchae nodded. Strong. Absolute. She gave a small smile and you easily took her menu away and made your way back towards the kitchen.
It wasnât full, a cook on the grill making the few dozen online orders, a person making cakes and pastries for the display out front which people usually took from so you started on the cake.
It wasnât hard, take the pre sliced piece out of the fridge, put it in the toaster oven for just a solid 30 seconds. It would soften, melt the icing on top. The caramel drizzle was easy. Two scoops of ice, espresso, chocolate and caramel swirl, whipped cream on topped with a peppermint straw.
The peppermint straw was a bit risky. Definitely an acquired taste but Yoonchae said make it exactly the same so thatâs what you did. Moving from the drink you grabbed the cake and served it on a clean white dish.
A dollop of whipped cream, and then lemon zest. The zest did nothing but add more detail and color into the cake. It was a lemon pound cake. Couldnât get more simple than that.
âHere you are..exactly how I would eat it. I added a few extras but itâs free of chargeâ, Yoonchaeâs eyes lit up when she saw it. First she tried the drink. You winced before the peppermint could throw off the entire taste but she didnât cringe like most. She hummed welcomingly before taking a bite of the cake.
âIt is good. Thank youâ
âYouâre welcome, I'm glad youâre enjoying it. Take your timeâ, you walked away, feet sliding against the ground but heart hammering against your chest. She was just so cute. In every small moment or happy dance she did when flavors combined.
When she was done she personally thanked you holding your hands with a respectful bow. Paid and tipped accordingly. You held onto that moment because you were sure youâd never see a more pretty sight but she came back.
âŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâ§âËâ§
Conversations got longer, more suggestions that she wanted to try. Like how you made your sandwiches or which refresher you liked most and how it was made. By the 6th visit it was clear that she wasnât just coming by to grab an easy meal or a sweet treat but because she enjoyed your company and you enjoyed hers.
Girls never put any attention into you and well it was surprising that she actually wanted to be around you. Sometimes she didnât order. She just sat in her small corner and you took an impromptu break to sit with her. The conversation was always different each time.
She was a bit secretive in her job and daily life but you didnât pry. Didnât push because you understood that some things people didnât like sharing. You had topics you avoided so respectfully you allowed her to have her privacy as well.
Soon it was exchanging instagrams and taking dates outside of the cafe. Yoonchae was always very strict on when and where to meet. You could never come to her house. That was non-negotiable. Weird but you didnât question it. Either meet up at the cafe or the local park 15 or so minutes away. When out in public always call her Chae but never her full name and donât be so loud.
Lastly, never post photos of her on any of your public social media and if so always faceless or just her hands. Something simple. Unrecognizable. The picture rule threw you off. You didnât share your life online anyways so she didn't need to worry about that but the fact she had to mention it left a lot of questions swarming in your mind.
You didnât take her out much. If she was strict on her privacy then you compromised by taking her to your house instead. Your mother worked as a nurse and wasnât home a lot , your sisters; grown lived in their own cribs so you didnât have to worry about company.
Your house wasnât gigantic but it did have a basement. Your room. Yoonchae was mesmerized at first. Black lights that made the decor on the walls glow. A small makeshift recording studio packed into a corner. Guitars laid on the walls, a place for your vinyls and record player. A shelf that held books, comics and action figures. You had it all.
âWoahh this is coolâ
âYou think..â, you sat down on a beanbag chair leaning over to turn on the projector so that the two of you could enjoy a movie. Yoonchae nodded, taking her time to really survey the room. You hide your cheesy grin because your mother always told it it was just a bit clutter. Sure everything had a place but it was a lot for one small room.
âYess! I love it. It is so you!!â, Yoonchae turned with a smile and you couldnât help but return it as she continued to move around the room stopping at your small recording corner.
âYou make..â
âA little. Mostly beats. I donât have a singing voiceâ
âShow me pleaseâ
âBut the movie-â
âMovie can wait..I want to hear your songsâ, Yoonchae pulled you up off the beanbag chair with a bright smile. Her hands fit into yours like the perfect mold. It made your knees go weak and chest pump. Why was this girl so freakin cute and why did she make you act like this.
âShow Me!! Show Me!!â, Yoonchae pulled you closer trying to quicken your pace. You chuckled easily giving in. You didnât have a password on your computer so a quick shake of the mouse woke it up. Heading into your software you opened up a new project. Blank sheet because you wanted to impress her.
âWhat kinds of music do you like..â
âCan you do like hip hop or like uh RNBâ, the request surprised you a little. So much you did a double take which made Yoonchae blush and punch your arm. You chuckled. You didnât take her as the RNB or Hip Hop type but then again everyday she was surprising. Never a dull moment because you were constantly learning about her and she was constantly learning about you.
As you worked she shifted closer. Wrapping her arms around yours, bopping her head as you messed around with different keyboard sounds. Watching as you moved around the screen, not even able to slightly comprehend what you were doing. All she ever did was sing the parts written for her but sheâd never been this close to see how a beat was laid out and put together.
As the time passed, music filling the room and the movie completely forgotten Yoonchae shifted closer. Until your knees were touching as she was basically leaning into you. You noticed, kept stealing her glances shifting every so often. She was close. Closer than sheâd ever been. You tested the waters. Hand resting on her lower thigh.
It didnât travel. God no. Just resting, caressing the skin. When she sat up you stiffened. Drawing your hand back but Yoonchae was quicker. Grab your hand interlacing your fingers. Thumb playing with the fidget ring you wore. Eyes meet. Music forgotten. The room chilled, the black lights making it seem more tense than it was.
You traced her features with your eyes. Every second or so youâd look down at her lips. You didnât know a thing about kissing but you wanted to kiss her. She leaned in first and you followed. The loud ring of her phone interrupted the moment. Both of you split like youâd been caught with hands deep in a cookie jar. Yoonchae scrambled for her phone rushing towards your bathroom.
You waited till the door was shut to silently scream into your shirt. Kicking the beanbag chair. So close. You were so close. Yoonchae came out of the bathroom around 5 minutes later. You instantly stood from your bed. She looked apologetic and ultimately embarrassed.
âIâm sorry Y/nâŠthat was sister. Uh I have to get home. I had a curfewâ, you shook your head. She didnât need to apologize. This was the first time sheâd mentioned having sisters tho. You just nodded, grabbing her hands. âItâs fine. Do you want me to drive you home?â
âCan you just take me to our meet up spot.â
âOf courseâ
âŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâ§âËâ§
Communication was bare after that. Only talking once in the morning to late at night. Short texts, not the long conversations you used to have. It hurt you. Of course it did. For the first time you had something that you thought would last but like most things it had gone. Vanished before you were able to stop it.
You figured she didnât want to talk. Maybe she was regretting things. Good thing you didnât post her or speak about her. You didnât have time to hold onto it so you just continued your life as if she was never in it. Your mother noticed. You were more detached. Not as bubbly as before. Didnât walk with a pep in your step or meaning like before. It was dull. Muted because thatâs what heartbreaks were.
Could you even call it a heartbreak? You and Yoonchae never dated but man surely you meant just a little bit more than the next person. It didnât matter. Thatâs what you told yourself. Repeatedly like a mantra until three months had passed and the texts became non existent. Not even an update. Just dead silence.
It didnât matter. You remember what your grandfather told you. Women come and go and if they go they weren't meant to stay. It was easy to believe then but it felt harder to believe now. You didnât believe Yoonchae was just supposed to be removed from your life so easily. Especially when everything had been good.
Especially when you were so close to that damn kiss. Fuck.
âŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâ§âËâ§
âY/n..you gonna watch the Grammyâs tonightâ, you had only come out of your work shoes lifting your head to your sisterâs voice. You had planned to just sleep the day off. Thatâs how most of your days were spent. It was crazy how much Yoonchae had infatuated you to the point where you basically stopped living.
So you shrugged. The Grammys wasnât something you regularly cared about. It was rigged anyway. You were too musically technical to sit and watch a bunch of awards be handed to the wrong winner. Too punctual to enjoy the program. âWasnât planning on itâŠI was just gonna shower and then write..I dunnoâ
âBoy youâve been huddled in that room for months. When are you gonna come out and sit with your familyâ, you kissed your teeth with a rebuttal but your mother was already poking her head out the kitchen waving a spatula around co-signing with your older sister.
You pulled on the dreads that naturally fell down your face with a silent huff. They always did that shit. Tag teamed against you. Thankfully your other sister wasnât present because you didnât need to be jumped by three women. You just lost every time.
Grabbing your bag you disappeared down the hall, turning left towards the side door and down into the basement making sure to put the door stopper in because the door loved to lock from the inside for some odd and dumb reason. Curiously you decided to look up the nominees.
Just to understand what you were about to see. You noticed some people. Of course the overly popular. Bad Bunny, Justin Bieber, Oliva Dean, Sombr, Alex Warren, Lady Gaga, Kendrick Lamar..you knew immediately heâd win all the Grammys he'd been nominated for. GNX was taking some wins whether the masses wanted it or not. TV Off alone could win a Grammy or two.
Not even 3 hours later your sister was calling for you to come upstairs. You rolled your eyes heavily sliding on your house shows forcefully dragging your body up the narrow stairs and into the living room. You sister already propped up with a plate of momâs cooking while watching RoĆe and Bruno Mars open the show.
You knew this song. APT very popular and frequently played at your bakery. You didnât necessarily care for it but you sat down and watched it anyway. Watching as your mom came and sat with the both of you. Her own plate in hand. âMama..whereâs mine?â
âIn the kitchen..â
âYou didnât make me a plate..â
âAinât you big enough to make your ownâ, you held your motherâs gaze for a solid 2 minutes before willing yourself to stand and it was spaghetti. Lord. You took a moment to look at the invisible camera before grabbing a plate. Spaghetti first, then garlic bread, corn..fried fish. You hated fried fish.
âMa! You only-â
âItâs in the oven. Look firstâ, you rolled your eyes out of her view opening the oven to check for your fish. Baked still sitting in the glass pan. âThanks Ma!â
âMhmmâŠyour welcomeâ, you finished plating your food, fixing a nice helping of Minute Maid. Damn near the whole box. Taking everything back to the living room sitting in the reclining chair purposely ignoring your sister who eyed your large cup of juice. Hopefully she didnât expect it to last. Minute Maid never lasts. Not this good household.
âYou make me sickâ
âYo daddyâ
âLeast I got a daddyâ
âAye we are not doing that tonight. Both of yall too grown. Cut that outâ, knowingly you shut up but not before mouthing an insult turning back to your food. You didnât even want to watch nor sit up here with them so honestly they deserved every bit of your childish behavior.
âYouâre not even paying attention.â
âAinât nothing happening. You already know the winnersâ, you sighed, placing your phone down on your lap. How long have you been sitting in this recliner watching everyone you had predicted win. It was boring. Nobody worth watching.
âYou mentally drain me. At least actually watch this next performanceâ, throwing your head back you groaned but sat up a bit higher setting the empty plate that was resting beside you on the table. It was the showing of Best New Artist. The open was The MarĂas. You enjoyed their performance. The usage of instruments and the main vocalist caught your attention.
She had unique vocals with such a distinctive sound youâd probably go into a deep dive later. Next was Addison Rae, she wasnât new. Flame Is A Gun was a popular song. One you heard on the radio in the car or random when it snuck in your auto play. You didnât care for her performance.
The vocals weren't like the studio version. Forced and unnatural. Breathy. Uncontrolled. You glanced at your sister. She was into it. Of course she was because her music taste wasnât as seasoned as yours. Sometimes you questioned how she was really black. Couldnât be.
You had unconsciously gone back on your phone until you heard that voice. Familiar. Korean born.
âThatâs Yoonchae?!â
âWell duh..itâs Katseye dummy. I would hope itâs Yoonchaeâ
You ignored your sister because of course she didnât understand. That wasnât just Yoonchae but Yoonchae the girl who youâd been going on impromptu dates with, getting in trouble at work because you would sit and talk with her. Dates in secluded spots because she preferred it that way. The same Yoonchae who had been in your room. The one you almost kissed.
That's the one performance you truly watched. Tracking Yoonchaeâs every movement. Mesmerized by her stage performance. She was already beautiful but she looked different like this. Confident. Completely in her element. She moved with grace you had yet to witness. Not that quiet calm shyness but one with meaning.
You fiddled with your phone. That explained the radio silence. Explained the secrecy. Suddenly all of her actions made a lot of sense.
You canât come to my home- because Iâm a famous artist and canât give out my address.
Donât say my name too loud in public- people might recognize me
Only meet at our pick up stop- because my members donât know you exist
No photos showing my face- Iâm not even supposed to be datingâŠfor lack of words.
It was like a bullet list in your mind. A bitter taste settling in your mouth. It wasnât a matter of couldnât but a matter of wouldnât. Unfortunately you couldnât stop yourself from looking into it more. Going down the rabbit hole before landing on Dream Academy.
The more you watched the more stupid you felt. To believe you had any sliver of a chance. To think sheâd want to fit you in her world. At one point you just turn everything off. Guess not dating really did save you. Couldnât say you lost a girlfriend, just an invisible friend. Nobody knew about her anyways.
âŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâ§âËâ§
âHey Iâm- oh itâs youâ, you let out a deep sigh staring at Yoonchae sitting in her normal spot in the cafe. First time visiting in five or so months. The last time you saw her was in your bedroom. Then on your tv. Annoyingly, she was still beautiful. Still perfect.
âHow was the Grammys?â, you knew you shouldnât have opened with that line. You could see her face morph from resting to a quiet shock but it was impossible to just pass over it. It hurt you. Hurt you when it shouldnât have and that was the most difficult part. She didnât owe you anything yet your heart yearned for an explanation.
âY/n-â
âNo..itâs fine. Actually you did really well. Sorry you didnât winâ, you shrugged. You weren't gonna trap her in a box. Force her to feel like she had to say something. She didnât. Her business was her business and you just learned a valuable lesson. âLemon cake and a iced caramel drizzle or-â
âI wanted to tell you-â
âYoonchae, it's fine. You donât owe anything-â
Yoonchae huffed furrowing her eyebrows. She didnât want to be dismissed. She wanted you to actually hear her. Yet you refused to even look at her face. Unlike before when she would shy away yet you would stare with soft eyes and that stupid dopey grin.
âY/n-â
âYoonchae I already-â
Lips. Lips on yours. Your eyes stayed open purely out of shock. You werenât expecting that. âCan I talk nowâ
You nodded, unable to speak. Unintentionally licking your lips. âI like you. I just didnât know how to tell you. People always know me. You knew nothing. I wanted to keep thatâŠâ
âI wanted something genuine. You are genuine. I feel like Yoonchae and not Yoonchae from Katseye.â, Yoonchae grabbed your hands staring deep into your eyes. Naturally you glanced down, unable to hold eye contact but it didn't stop your lips from curling upwards.
âI shouldâve told-â
âNo, I get it. I get why you hid itâ, finally you glanced upwards brushing the few lost strands of hair behind her ear shifting to stand a bit taller. âIâm upset because I thought it didnât mean anythingâŠeven if not romantically Iâve never had a better friendâ
âI like you..â
âBut you canât be with me romantically. I get it-â
âNo, shush. Let me speaks for a secondâ, your lips shut instantly because it was the first time Yoonchae had ever slightly raised her voice or spoke with such clarity. Though her words did slur a little. âI like you..a lot but I didnât want you to find out who I was and then just use me for popularity. My sisters are very protective and they warn me of this stuffs so I just had to be sureâ
Yoonchae stared at the ground as she spoke. Still holding your hands. Interlacing her fingers with yours but unable to meet your eyes. She didnât trust many people but her members and family but nobody else.
âI understand Yoonchaeâ, you tilted her head up with gentle fingers holding her chin. âAnd I like you too..and if you would give me a chance I could show you that I like Jeong Yoonchae. The person who sits in this small corner, who loves the color pink, who enjoys hearing about my comic collection, who looks very hot when your dancing on stage..~â
âShut upâ, Yoonchae punched your shoulder lightly but the both of you laughed. âThatâs embarrassingâ
âNo, I thought you looked really good. Seeing you twerk was kinda shocking though. I didnât know you had that in youâ, Yoonchae hit your shoulder again with a bit more force but only laughs came from both of your mouths. Her cheeks reddened as she covered her face. She was never embarrassed to perform but knowing you were the one watching made her feel shy.
Honestly she didnât know why she didnât expect you to watch. Your music oriented just as much as she is. It just never crossed her mind. âSeriously thoughâŠwhat is gnarly?â
âYeaaâŠwe donât talk about the song. We just perform it and learn to love itâ, you shrugged. Fair enough.
âSo you forgot about your job or something because of your gonna stand around on my clock then you can happily clock outâ, both you and Yoonchae quickly turned towards your manager. A bigger black guy. Buff, tall, built like hulk. You nodded, grabbing the tablet you placed on the table hands nervously messing with your hair.
âI have to get back to work sorry uh did you want the cake and coffee though?â, Yoonchae shook her head and you nodded, turning on your heels before her hand quickly caught your bicep, stopping you in your tracks.
âMaybe we can hang out tonight?â
âLike a date..â
âYesâ
You covered your growing smile by coolly clearing your throat. âYea..yea itâs a date. Um, meet at the park?â
âNo, my houseâ, you almost gave yourself whiplash by how fast you twisted your head while furrowing your eyebrows. Yoonchae had been to you but youâd never been to hers. It was one of the many things she kept secret. âHuh..youâre house?! Like for real. Like..are you sure. I mean I donât need to see your home now just because you-â
âY/n..I want you to pick me up from my house. If youâre gonna be my boyfriend you should make sure I get to and from home safelyâŠno?â
Boyfriend. You..Yoonchaeâs boyfriend. You kissed your teeth with a growing nervous smirk. It would look back if you dropped and picked her up from a park. âNo no your right. Uh I get off at 7..so I will be over by 8:30âŠâ
âI will see you thenâŠdress niceâ, Yoonchae rose up a bit to place a kiss on your cheek before making her way out the door. You stood stuck in your place for a few seconds unmoved like a statue. Butterflies settled in your stomach as you skipped towards the back of the cafe giggling the whole time. A text appeared just a few minutes later with an address. Work couldnât pass fast enough.
âŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâ§âËâ§
âHey Ma!â
âHey baby..I thought you didnât get off till 7â
âI finished earlyâ, you easily slipped out of your shoes dropping your bag by the door while trying to make it towards your room but your mom was faster. Calling you back as she prepared her meal for the 12hr shift to come.
âWhat are you in such a rush for?â
âI have a dateâ
âA date? Since when do you dateâ, your mother paused, stopping her movements raising an eyebrow. You didnât date. Never even spoke about girls. You shrugged.
âUh I dunno. Itâs just some girl I meet at the cafe. Sheâs coolâ, you kept it brief trying to hurry downstairs but your mother was always quicker, keeping you in place while sizing you up.
âSome girl..and Iâve never heard you talk about her onceâŠâ
âWell it wasnât that serious before but itâs serious now. So I just kept it to myself in case it didn't work out. So nobody would get their hopes upâ, you shifted on the balls of your feet trying hard to leave the kitchen. It was already 6:35 and 8:30 would come quick.
âAnd what kind of date is this..â
âUh I dunno, a normal one. A restaurant. She said dress nice. Ma Iâm gonna be late-â
âIâm just curious boy. You never talked about no girl, now all of a sudden you got a little girlfriendâ, your mom turned back towards her meal, picking up the knife to finish chopping avocados. âIs she blackâ
âNo Ma sheâs not black. Sheâs Korean actuallyâ, you sighed heavily because of course she would ask that.
âIt was just a question. Well Iâll call your sister and tell her to come over and help you get ready. Shouldâve at least got your hair done..â, you watch her shake her head before quickly turning to leave for your room. Her questionnaire just took up valuable time of you getting ready.
âMama called me and told me to help you get ready for a dateâ, you looked at your sister through the bathroom mirror. Face covered in shaving cream to get rid of the stubble. Not like you had much anyways. Just a barely visible mustache but you wanted Yoonchae to notice how hard you tried.
âI was scared she called Cierraâ
âNow even she knows better than to call her. You look good though. Put on a suit ditched those beat up Jordanâs. You must really like this girlâ, Amari, your oldest sister fixed your collar while simultaneously hyping you up a little. You couldnât help but smile, taking a towel to your face to get the rest of the shaving cream.
âYou ironed your clothes tooâŠand you got on Dior. Nah you tryna show outâ, you laughed at Armaniâs words but didnât deny it because you absolutely wanted to show out. This wasnât just a regular hang out, this was Yoonchae letting you into her world. Inventing you to a sacred part of her life. So yes you were going to go all out because you wanted her to know just how serious this was to you.
âI just really like herâ
âAnd thatâs good. There needs to be more men who want to impress their women.â, Armani touched up on your hair pulling the thick dreads into a ponytail. Leaving only a few strands out. She used a few drops of oil to moisten before using her hand to smooth down the flyaways. After this date you were definitely getting a retwist.
âWhat time is the dateâ
â8:30..thatâs when I pick her upâ
âYou met her parents already?â
You shook your head. âNot parents. She lives with her sisters but I havenât met them either my this will be my first timeâ
âWell itâs 7:33 now. Buy her and her sisters flowers. Simple but effective. Shows that you care and put forth an effortâ, you nodded looking at Armani through the mirror. You had already thought of that. Youâd also stop back at the cafe and get a cake for them to share.
âText me once you pick her up and after itâs done and you better take some cute pictures. I wanna know about this girl that has you so smittenâ, again you nodded. Grabbing your keys before making your way up the stairs. The check in parts you could do. The photo was a bit trickier but maybe Yoonchae would agree.
âŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâŁâ§âËâ§
Flowers. A large bouquet of roses for the girls. Hibiscus for Yoon because you did a bit of homework. Cake acquired (leaving your wallet 15 dollars lighter) it was finally time to head over to Yoonchaeâs place. You expected a mansion. Something glamorous and large. Over the top with thousands of acres of land. Your own ignorance developed that thought but instead was met with a penthouse.
Still luxurious. Still expensive but more lowkey and made a lot more sense. The valet took your 2017 Ford Hybrid while you slowly made your way through the lobby. You took the elevator shifting the flowers in your arms many times along with the cake using the shiny doors to check and recheck your appearance. Checking your phone to make sure you were heading the right way.
Three knocks. Strong. Solid. A bit heavy handed. You swallowed, taking a step back waiting for the door to open. Checking your phone to make sure it matched. You could hear voices and took a moment to breathe. You had nothing to fear but everything all at once.
You had done some research. Looked the girls up. Oldest to youngest. Manon, Sophia, Daniela, Lara, Megan and of course Yoonchae. Went down a 10 minute rabbit hole of each member. Just to prepare yourself but clips or a few articles wasnât the real thing. This was real. Your moment of truth.
You heard the lock click and the door slowly opened. For a moment you really wished it was Yoonchae. That way she could ease you into all of this but it wasnât. It was Manon. On her right was Daniela and at Danielaâs right was Sophia.
So the three oldest. Makes sense. You cleared your throat. Didnât speak yet in case they wanted to say something. Until they didnât so you bit your lower lip feeling very nervous. âHey..Iâm Y/n. I donât know how much Yoonchae has said about me but Iâm taking her out on a date tonight. She told me to uh pick her up hereâ
You waited. Thankful your voice didnât crack. Thankful you didnât fidget as much. All three girls just stared. Not with any ill intent but definitely that protective gaze that sets the tone immediately. Eyes sharp like lionesses.
âItâs nice to meet you, come inâ, Manon moved to the side. Daniela and Sophia following. You swallowed stepping into the penthouse. It looked lived in but it wasnât dirty. âThank you. Um these are for youâ
You held the bouquet of roses and cake for them to grab. Sophia was the one to take her. Her features softening up just a little. Through your peripheral you noticed Lara and Megan. Watching not yet speaking. âIs Yoonchae ready yet?â
âSoon..come sit firstâ, Daniela answered, leading the way to the living area. You watched as Sophia sat the cake and flowers down, Manon walking behind you. In this moment you felt like the videos had betrayed you. You had seen moments of them laughing, screaming, running around but now in this moment the air was hot, tense and you felt like prey being watched by lions.
âYoonchae did tell us a little about you but we want to get to know you for ourselves, sitâ, Daniela pointed to the sofa and you sat down quickly holding the hibiscus flowers in your lap. This woman definitely meant business.
âIâm an open book. Iâll answer anythingâ
âGood..because answers are non-negotiable. Where did you meet our Yoonchaeâ, Daniela propped herself up on one leg. Our Yoonchae. Cold and Clear. You shifted clearing your throat.
âShe came into my job. I work at a bakery. Chill spot. Itâs called âThe Resortâ. Itâs mostly pastries but we serve food as well. Sandwiches and such.â
âWait âThe Resortâ..I actually love that place wait. Those strawberry shortcakes are the best. Thatâs so tea actuallyâ, you turned towards Megan watching her expression shift. That heavy tension lifted for a fraction of a second before she realized she was supposed to be scary and serious.
âSorry but that place is actually so goated.â
âUh I brought a cake for you all to share.â, you watched Megan clap excitedly and your shoulders dropped slightly. Her energy made you feel less at their mercy. Not all the way. Lara, Manon, Daniela and Sophia all held their poker faces.
âThatâs good you have a job. How old are youâ
âIâm 18. I turned 18 October of last year thoughâ, the girls nodded. Good age gap. The largest theyâd accept was maybe 2 years and even that was a stretch and heavily dependent on birthday placements.
âWhat about your goals in life?â, the question came from Lara.
âWell I do want to be a musician..funny. Uh, I produce music of my own. I have my own set up. I play a few instruments as well and I study artistry and stuff. I like smooth RNB mostly, Hip Hop, and Jazz, those are like my core sounds but I listen to all musicâ, the 5 girls listened intently. Of course they already knew this. Yoonchae had mentioned it already but hearing you speak about it they could tell it was something serious for you.
âYoonchae told you weren't a fanâ
âNo no no I just didnât know of you-â
âItâs not a bad thing. Iâm glad actually. Means you care about our Yoonchae. Care to know about Jeong Yoonchae and not just the youngest member of Katseyeâ, Sophia cut you off but her words made the edge of your lips curve upward because it was true. If not for the Grammys you wouldâve never known.
You never looked her up or stalked her accounts on social media. She was just another stranger in your world as you were to hers. You had no intention of snooping. You wanted every moment to be authentic anyways. For her to tell you her favorites. It gave you the luxury of knowing that she trusted you enough to hold valuable information most would never get to hear.
âI like Yoonchae a lot. I respect her and I enjoy her and Iâd never use her for my own personal gain. Besides our walks through the park or movie nights spent in my room are better than popularity pointsâ, you shrugged shoulders fully dropping now. Feeling at ease in front of the 5 girls. They were no different than your own sisters and you respected that. Strong Willed. Protective. Sheltering. An anchor.
âYour room-â
âUnnies Iâm finished!! Is Y/n- you said werenât going to do thisâ, Yoonchae gave a short pout. Not seriously annoyed because she didnât want you to feel pressed or intimidated.
âWe didnât say anything wrong. We were just getting to know him. You look beautiful by the way babyâ, Daniela stood fluffing Yoonchaeâs hair, cupping her cheeks. You stood slowly watching the interaction. To know she was cared for so deeply warmed your heart.
âHey Yoonchae..you do look really beautiful. I got you these..there hibiscus. I read online that you liked them but I forgot to ask. So I hope you-â
âI love them. Thank youâ, Yoonchae chuckled, cutting you off, grabbing the vibrant pink flowers from your hands. The girls all watched their own smiles growing. Yoonchae was growing up but this was a bigger milestone.
âCurfew is 11:30, no later. Yoonchae keep your phone on and answer our text and Y/n..â, you turned towards Manon standing straight bracing yourself for whatever she had to say.
However she only fixed your bow tie while straightening out your collar. âKeep our Yoonchae safeâŠâ
You beamed at the gesture giving a strong nod while grabbing Yoonchaeâs hand. âYes Maâam. No harm will come to her.â
Manon nodded. Both of you speaking through your eyes with mutual respect and understanding. A chorus of byes and enjoy your date rang out as you and Yoonchae headed towards the door. You opened it and let her cross first before following her out. Once in the elevator you clutched your heart dramatically.
âIt was like being in a cage full of sharksâ
âThey arenât that badâ
âŠ.
âOk well they areâ
