The cafe air was filled with a warm atmosphere and a pleasant breeze of the wind flowing through the cafe door mixing with a hint of sweet aroma coming from the freshly baked goods that were made that morning. The warm atmosphere would soon catch the eye of those who were walking past and observing the city breeze.

This is the story of how Hyujin and Felix come across a new favorite place of theirs to visit when in France…

HYUJINS POV : Me and Felix were out on a stroll and taking photos of the captivating scenery of Paris when Felix suddenly suggested if we could enter a cafe that had a “grand opening” sign up front. Ofcourse he would notice something like that, he’s always really observant and always wanting to try new foods whenever we travel. I obliged and we made our way inside the new cafe, as we stepped inside I immediately noticed the smell of fresh bread mixed with a refreshing gust of light wind coming from where we had entered. I also couldn’t help but notice Felix’s expression when we had entered the cafe, I could tell he was excited and looking hopeful to trying some of the food there along with a sweet drink probably. We went up to the barista while also taking in the scenery around us, it really felt like my room back at the dorms.

When we reached the register Felix asked about the type of drinks they served, the barista told us that there was a variety of options for coffee to choose from and some boba choices to pick from as well. “ Yongbok, what are you planning on getting? “ I ask Felix as I eye at the menu at the top of the cafe, right above where the barista stands.

“ You already know what I’m going to get Hyujin, but I’ll tell you anyways “ he says to me as he smiles happily. it genuinely makes my heart skip a beat because he’s right, I already have an idea of what he’s planning on getting here.

“ I’m getting a matcha foam taro milk boba, It’s one of my favorites “ he says to me as he giggles softly. his drinks are just as sweet as he is..

“ What do you plan on getting Hyujin? “ he asks me with a light smile and shining eyes.. does he even exist? he’s stunning in any light it feels too unreal sometimes.

” I think I’m going to get an Iced americano “ I say while chuckling lightly out of nervousness from the way he’s looking at me.

“ I knew you’d get that, it’s your go-to drink anywhere we are!“ he says while smiling brightly at me. we ordered our drinks and afterwards went to sit at a table with nearby window. The cafe had such a comfortable atmosphere that I could tell that we would probably be visiting again next time we come to Paris.

FELIXS POV : “ Hyujin-ah, don’t you just love being able to enjoy spending time together without worrying about work? “ I asked him nervously but truthfully, Hyujin’s always been someone soft and caring that I don’t have to filter anything around him..I think that’s why I love him so much..well sometimes too much.

“ I enjoy all the time we spend together even if it’s work related. “ he says lightly, as if nervous about saying something too serious for himself to handle. It just made my heart sink slightly that he felt nervous or uneasy about something but I’ve never questioned it because he’s always been very private about his feelings unless it’s Seungmin or Changbin.

“ I enjoy it a lot too Hyujin-ah, you make me feel really relaxed when it’s just us two. You take a lot of things off my mind because of who you are “

“ Yongbok, you flatter me! “ he giggles softly at the compliments I throw at him…my heart feels lighter after hearing his laughter even if it is something little like a giggle. He then grabs his phone out of his pocket and asks me if I want to take a few pictures together to remember our visit here at the cafe.

“ I’d love to Hyujin-ah, why don’t we ask the barista to take them for us? “ I asked.

“ That’s a lovely idea Angel. “ he said casually.

There it is...the nickname he gave me years ago when we first met. I can still recall the first time he called me that on accident, it was when we were just getting to know each other on the survival show. We were just chatting on about ourselves with the others when he said I looked like an angel because of my unreal smile and eyes. After that day, he started calling me “angel” a lot and casually calling me over like I was his angel…although i’m not complaining because he has no idea that after that day, I grew feelings for him..really strong feelings.

He called over the barista and asks them if they’d mind taking a few pictures of us together, the barista says they don’t mind and we started posting together with our drinks. Eventually Hyujin lays his head on my shoulder and poses comfortably along my side..it made me smile greatly, his hair felt soft against my jacket that I couldn’t help but blush a bit..I hope he didn’t notice it.

After posing together the barista asked us if we were a couple on the spot and well..I couldn’t resist to tease Hyujin a little just by telling the barista that we were together, the look on his face was so adorable yet so terrifying at the same time…almost as if he was afraid or nervous of the thought of us being like that, but that’s just a speculation. I didn’t want to intrude or ruin our little hangout we were having so I didn’t mention it and neither did he.

HYUJINS POV : Me and Felix left the cafe after an hour or so since it was getting a bit late and didn’t want Chan-Hyung to be worried since we only mentioned our hang out to our staff rather than actually telling the group, at least I hadn’t. But maybe Felix did because when we got back Chan and Binnie asked if we had a good time together which I found a little odd that they knew but maybe we were just obvious since we were walking together when we arrived to the hotel. I wasn’t worried about that specifically but more about how we were seen as by the others.. especially since all I could think about was what Felix had said to the barista earlier..it was making me feel and think in ways I shouldn’t have been about my own bandmate but it was really difficult to not ask anything about it when we were in the cafe but now we were heading back to our hotel, wouldn’t it be an appropriate time to ask now about it? ..and so I did.

“ Hey..Yongbok can I ask you something? “ He was still walking next to me, while we made our way to his room so I could drop him off and head to my own room.

“ Ofcourse Hyujin-ah, anything. “ He said it as if he knew what I was going to ask him about.. “ Why did you tell that barista we were dating?..” I felt my heart racing and could feel my breath dropping lower out of nervousness..I felt so stupid for pointing it out to him and letting myself be vulnerable because his answer wasn’t what I was hoping for..

“Hyujin-ah, I was just teasing you. There’s no reason to worry yourself about it! “ he giggled softly as if what he said wasn’t anything serious to him..but to me, it felt like my heart was racing and getting yanked out of my chest. I know our Yongbok likes to tease occasionally but..sometimes I can’t help but feel like he means the things he says are true or at least half true.

honestly I should’ve stopped myself before I had the chance but..I really wasn’t thinking straight before I spoke up but it was as if my heart was taking control of my thoughts and my actions. it was like a burning desire was consuming me like it never had before.

“ I like you Yongbok. “ I said quickly before realizing what I had just admitted to.

I was terrified as soon as I said it and stood still, stopping myself from walking beside him. it was too late now and I couldn’t think of any explanation as to why I said that..now all I needed was an answer to see if he felt the same as me or if I should crawl away into a whole and never show my face to the world again..

FELIXS POV : “ I like you Yongbok. “ Hyunjin had said it abruptly when we were walking to my room and I just froze like him..mid hallway there we both stood and just slightly made distance between ourselves.. Honestly all I could think of is if this was a dream or a nightmare because I didn’t know what to say or how to say what I felt without feeling like I was jeopardizing our friendship. “ Hyujin-ah, it’s not funny to mess like that “
