New Yearâs Kiss đ
Happy Birthday, Yoruichi!! || ⥠⥠⥠âĄ** I had to go get the book out of my closet for this icon you better appreciate thatÂ
Spending New Years in the world of the living was a new one, but Yoruichi had insisted. With it being her wifeâs birthday soon she felt like she was hardly in a place to refuse her, and so for the first time in her life, she requested time off to go spend a vacation with her former mentor. The trip wasnât what she had expected, it was nice and relaxing. The first REAL time the two had gotten to themselves since their wedding night. Soi Fon wasnât known for her romance, hell sometimes she wasnât even sure it was all true, but the ring on her finger said otherwise. A fairytale ending never did come together how you expected, there had been a lot more OBSTACLES than what she would have liked.Â
Fiddling with the ring on her finger she opened her eyes to see Yoruichi laying beside her still asleep as it must have been pretty early. Silver eyes shifted to the window, the sun was just barely peeking through and the first birds had started singing their songs. She reached out to touch the woman beside her, before hesitating, no she didnât have to hesitate anymore did she? Her eyes drifted to the ring on the felineâs own finger, gold in contrast to her silver band. It was still all too good to be true, and yet she was leaning over stealing a kiss from her beloved wife. Soi Fon could feel the smirk on her lips as Yoruichi was pulled awake by the sudden affection, the Captain could feel her cheeks heating up, she supposed that was a bit impulsive.Â
âMmmm kind of early for that isnât it?â, Yoruichiâs voice sounded like honey to her and she resisted the urge to kiss her again. That thick rasp in her voice, when she had just woken up it was enough to make the younger shinigamiâs heart flutter.Â
âForgive me, I was lost in thought and got carried away.â, the Captain mumbled still sleepy herself as she lazily snuggled against the older woman. Yoruichi's scent had changed over the years and yet it still smelled like home to her.Â
                           She couldnât be happier.Â
