Hello! I just wanted to ask why you put it as gender neutral when the reader is called "wife"? Isn't it a fem term? (Genuine question)

Okay, so, I was pretty much going off of what they original anon request.

They asked me if I could write about smc having a wife with gender neutral pronouns, which i wrote. Since I dont think I used any she / her /pronouns in that fic, i kept the tag ' gender neutral ' in it

I also kept trying to use the term, spouse, in that fic as well due to the anon asking for the reader to be gender neutral.

I was a tiny bit confused at first and all I can really say if you're still confused is ask the original anon themselves.
