For anyone confused, I have re-purposed Florentia’s tumblr for BC-RP since I am terrible at keeping up with tumblr anyways, might as well try to keep it relevant ;). Florentia rushed toward the group, her chest heaving with uneven breaths. Her voice lifts in a shout, "Lord Vaurtefort, Father!" Then she tugs out a simple staff from around her back, eyes wide, something akin to concern and wonder on those delicate features.

The scent of blood and putrid flesh filled the air. The heat of the battle probably making most of them forget about the cold wind of Coerthas, specially poor brave Landrenel.

"Push them back!" Isarn snarls before grappling the first foe before him. If he manages to overpower the horrid beast, he would slam his knee into its ribs and try to throw his somewhat impressive weight into toppling the foe for a quick stomp the skull. You aren’t a failure because you haven’t found fame and fortune by the age of 21. Hell, it’s okay if you don’t even know what your dream is yet. Even if you’re flipping burgers, waiting tables or answering phones today, you never know where you’ll end up tomorrow. Never tell yourself you’re too old to make it. 

Never tell yourself you missed your chance. 

Never tell yourself that you aren’t good enough. 

You can do it. Whatever it is.

You are in luck for a grand thrill. I will need the aid of two others in the exploring of Saint Mocianne’s Arboretum. You will be rewarded with not only an ample amount of coin, but the experience to witness one of Eorzea’s long lost ruins. What ever treasure we happen across can also be your’s if you wish. But you will be warned, this will be dangerous, do not take this posting lightly and consider thoughtfully.

If you are still somehow interested and wish to know more, please seek out Tranquil Moon at Apkallu Falls in Gridania– present there between the 16th and 18th bell, evening time.

A simple flyer, really! Moon’s looking for two others to help in retrieving petals from Belladonna herself for a client’s order! The roles we’re seeking is a tank and a DPS, but I’m sure we can figure something out if that could be an issue. 

If you wish to meet up with Moon at Apkallu Falls, roleplay will not be restricted to the time posted above! That is just her normal IC hours of being there. I’d like to apologize in advance, I’m not the best at posting this sort of thing, but thanks for looking!

Thoughts of you...

Dearest love, how do I tell you of my sins?

How do I express to you, the light that left Father Lacordaire’s eyes when he told me that he could not trust me to be alone anymore?

My last few nights have not been in the comfort of my room at the center, nor our cozy room at home. They have not been in the apartment you graciously bought me, nor in an inn room of a strange city -how you know of my love to travel. My nights have been spent in the back of the Cathedral, in sleeping quarters for other rueful souls. I rest among them as my penance. My days are spent sweeping the floors, serving food to those that seek warmth for their both souls and stomachs, cleaning robes of stains so that we might remain cleanly for the Goddess.  The Father, that sweet man, he will join me in my tasks or stop to give me words of comfort and guidance. He oft quotes passages from bishops and priests before him. He smiles, and though it is sad, I know that he cares. Which is why I have such trouble speaking to you of my sins and I likely will never do so. How do I say to you that the good Father brings such petulant thoughts from me? That as he speaks of my “loathsome” work, anger quietly broils within my chest. I will smile and bear it, for now. I will never let him or -you-,know of my resentment. I am repentant not for what I have made, but for how I have secured the knowledge of it. I was careless and proud, I deserve my punishment. It was in the priest’s understanding he claimed to have of my calling, that I felt that pride rise. I know that his understanding is still within him and in time he will see that he requires me to bring about the changes in our Church that he desires, for we will never truly serve the Fury’s purpose in our weak states. I will humbly labor until that day comes.

Awkward tea time with the Father

"What do you believe a witch is?" she whispered back, blinking a few times.

Isarn Lacordaire removes a glove and looks to his withered hand, its bones, ligaments, and tendons all visible and writhing as he takes the time to flex each finger. "A witch is one who sees the purity of life, the beauty of its nature, and feels that it knows better. A witch is a cretin, one less than man, that feels as though he can decide what must live and what must die. He operates by no godly edict nor crown, content to slake his thrist by the veins of what She has created. They are a sickness."

Florentia Rouanet remained silent, once more she pressed those dark lips tight as to maintain some semblance of composure in front of Father Lacordaire. Rather than further her question she only nodded to him, the movements stiff and her breath dangerously shallow.

The air is thick with fog around the Cathedral this night, perhaps I might see Father Lacordaire about our troubling, wayward soldier. It has been almost a moon and I cannot find him. I worry that my work failed and he is frozen in the snow, somewhere. The hairs on the back of my neck raise when I think of worse. What if he yet lives and he is searching for me too.

These thoughts are not good, they are not helpful. Yet again I find myself rubbing at an odd spot on my palm, so harshly that it is red and agitated. Just as I reach a bridge closest to those hallowed halls, my thoughts finally lead me to my artwork. This brings a needed smile. Art is something I know I must suffer for, but I enjoy it. It is working until my hands do not look like hands, but tools. It is sleeping next to what I believe to be my masterpiece just so that when inspiration takes hold of me I will not stumble through the lab like a blind fool.
