@blackwellalexander
Oh~ nothing! I was wondering if you wanted to have dinner with your nephew. And I won't tell the other's that only because I love you, but I sure wish I could brag about it.
âDinner with my favorite nephew? I guess I could cook us something. Or order in some pizza or whatever you kids like to eat nowadays. But I do like the idea of family time. Sometimes I wonder if you remember that I exist. Well⊠I suppose you can brag about it to your brother. I know how much you love to get under his skin â just donât use it all the time. Youâre my favorite but heâs also my nephew.â
cyrushasfallen :
âThat doesnât make any sense, Blackwell.â He snapped back. He didnât really have a better argument to refute what the witch was saying, but he got frustrated and snappy very quickly and needed to get some of that out of his system. âWhy would you go around giving Fallen feathers to random mortals?â He pursed his lips even tighter and finished the cigarette, before throwing it out of the window and onto the street. âAnd you lot pretend you arenât sucking goat dick on the regular, but thatâs none of my business now, is it?â Cyrus groaned. His nerves were getting to him and banter or not, there was no point antagonising a semi-useful warlock.Â
He echoed Alexanderâs sigh and shook his head, ignoring what he had just spewed out. âI donât know if youâve noticed but my kind isnât exactly common around town. If this is local, it shouldnât be hard to trace it to the source.â He took his breath. âYou think this chick was about to sell it in the club? Where do you usually get your stock from?â Cyrus focused on the feather again, his eyes trying to analyse and stop on every single bit of it. âNo, I donât think thatâs it. We arenât that big of a threat precisely because we arenât high in numbers. Not here, at least. Do you think you can check in your grimoires or Magic Web or wherever it is you lot go for information. Iâll owe you one.â Asking for a favour from a witch was like playing Russian roulette - either nothing happened or you got shot in the head.
âGoat dick?â Of all the things spoken by the Fallen, only that shitty insulted seemed to be processed by the Warlock. Itâs not like he knew everything. He just liked to pretend that he did. âI mean, Iâm not against sucking a dick but a goat? You have to work on your insults a bit better. Or donât insult at all if you want someone to be helpful and not kick your scrawny bird ass out of his store.â But it was a good question. Why would someone give Fallen feathers to a mortal? âHumans canât handle the supernatural. They can die with a werewolf bite. They get high on vampire blood. Magic⊠itâs a razzle dazzle. Iâm assuming that there are some unknown effect of angelical power in mortals. Maybe they get high as shit.â
Wouldnât be the first time that someone would resort to some supernatural end to get a high. âYouâre not actually asking me where I get my stuff, are you? You are smart enough to know that I am not answering you that question. Not to mention that you already sort of gave an answer to yourself. Fallens are rare. Rare items are more valuable and as such, far more powerful. Maybe thereâs some foul play involved. Maybe some of your horned, demonic boyfriends is determined to find a new way to exterminate you lot.â Hell, thatâs what he would do if he had a beef with someone. Fingers tapped against the coffee cup and the Warlock did arch his eyebrows in slight surprise. A Fallen? In his debt? That was almost as rare as the magical items he kept stored around. âWhenever humans want to test their weapons, they tend to do it in small, controlled environments. Like you said, there arenât too many of you left but there are enough to make you all someoneâs guinea pig. Sucks to be you, pretty face. Without knowing what they want from a Fallen feather, I canât exactly work on a counterspell.â
cyrushasfallen :
âI have no idea what that means,â Cyrus replied with eyes narrowing down on the warlockâs face. He was sure it was another human reference he had somehow missed to catch up on. Just in case, he held out his middle finger. It was the sort of exchange he was used to with the witch and frankly, he found it refreshing, even when it wasnât. He didnât normally like his kind - they were either too snotty and self-important or carried a rancid kind of smell that made Cyrusâ head spin. Plus, he couldnât shake off all the rumours of his speciesâ fascination with all things Satanic.
âNo shit. And here I thought you would say something dumb like, I donât know, point out itâs a box or something similar.â Cyrus rolled his eyes and took another pull of his cigarette. âSo you wouldnât even try to show off? I doubt that.â He was proven right only a moment later when Alexander did his thing and lo! and behold - the box cracked open.
The sarcastic deadpan expression pulled away to a look of concern, then frustration. Cyrus pursed his lips. âNo, it isnât. The chick wasnât one of ours and she wasnât one of yours - I checked. What does a mortal have to do with one of these?â Cyrus picked the feather and raised it to give it a closer look. âKnow about anyone trading with these?â
Angels â those poor little things. A bit of humanity and humility wouldnât hurt them but then again, not everyone could be as perfect as he was. The fact that they were talking and not actively trying to erase each other from the face of the planet was a victory. Not that the Warlock had anything about the whole âholier-than-everything-elseâ bullshit but the divine beings seemed to clearly have a lot against his own kin. Not all of them were devil worshipers!
âThe fact that the box possesses an enchantment strong enough to conceal angelic power means that whoever give this box to that unfortunate soul knows what that does.â There were tomes that spoke of divine influence through feathers or other relics. Alexander might had a couple of those well hidden so that they wouldnât be used against his family if everything went to shit. âThe question isnât where you can get one of those. The question is where does that one come from. You â Fallen pretend to be better than everyone else and yet you are so clueless about the world.â
With a sigh abandoning his lips, the Warlock brought his coffee to his lips. âThere is quite the search for angelical item in the Underground. Same can be said about vampireâs blood and werewolf fangs. Some people might use them as ingredients for potions and spells but there arenât that many references to using angel feathers as ingredients. Usually, the rarer the item, the more potent is the potion. Maybe someone around the place wants to create a potion that will render your kind useless? Itâs a chanceâŠâ
Tonightâs shift was exhausting. There were a bit too many kids stoned out of their mind, who were looking to start trouble and he had to intervene at least three times, for three separate fights. Got punched in the face the last time, so he was happy to throw the guy in question out of the club, but not before making sure to land a few punches of his own. Needless to say, by the end of the night, he was completely happy to go home and sleep until late afternoon.
Instead of doing that, he made way for the witchâs shop. He barged in with an unfinished cigarette and a coffee he picked up on his way there and went straight for the cash register.Â
âA kid tried to enter the club today with this crap on today.â He cut right to the chase. No hellos, good mornings, or how are yous. Cyrus then left the cup of steaming coffee in front of the witch, as a peace offering, then got out a small wooden black box and left it on the counter. âI sense itâs magical, but I canât open it. What is it?â
@blackwellalexander
Unexpected visits was something that Alexander had actually⊠learned to expect. Whether it was of the human variety who wanted to buy an antique mirror for their room or some paintings â or of the supernatural variety. Usually the latter were the ones that walked into his store like they owned the damn place, with often pulled a slight eyebrow arch from the warlock as the stood behind the counter. Today was one of those days. And his guest? One of those overdeveloped birds, no less.
âGood morning to you too, Chicken Little.â The Warlock offered a faint smile â that grew at the sight of the coffee that was being offered. Who needed politeness when he was so easily bribed by coffee? Not all the Fallen were rude or grumpy. At least this one had the presence of bringing gifts when checking up on him. If only more people were like that â things would be so much easier.
âWell, it does look like a box.â Clearly enchanted to be locked unless someone knew the counter-spell. It wasnât like those Harry Potter books were you waved a damn wand and screamed âAlohomoraâ. âWhoever locked it knows who to keep things a secret. Unfortunately, they are not me.â At close watch, the Warlock could definitely feel the wards pulsing around the box. Nothing a little spell wouldnât get the trick done. Arcane words are spoken, a faint sleight of hand and⊠âVoilĂĄ.â The lock opened with a sonorous thud and the box opened it to reveal a white feather concealed within. âOh â this is interesting. Iâm assuming itâs not one of yours butâŠâ
Hey, my favorite uncle!
âIf I didnât know any better, Iâd say you want something, Nolan. Just between us two⊠you always were my favorite. â
fxllenwxrrior :
âWhat the hell is an Iago?â Was this some kind of warlock slang he wasnât familiar with. This could possibly be a human thing as well, it sounded stupid like a human thing. âPIck a side or get the off the damn battlefield. You are merely playing both, if either side were to win you would be safe.â He scoffed, head shaking in the warlocks direction. âWonât be telling you my plans, probably what you want.â He couldnât do it alone, but he wouldnât stand back and not try. His first step was actually capturing a demon and using that to his advantage.Â
âThe only assistance I need is for someone to come steal you away.â The angel smiled, staring at the warlock. âYou talk about balance and yet you donât even see it. I wonder how many of you down here on this planet actually have noticed, how many of you have actually taken the time to glance up and feel it. Your balance you speak of has already shifted, itâs no longer important when survival comes into play.â The angel scoffed, his time was wasted here. âYou have no idea whatâs coming.â The angel turned once more heading off towards the doors and pushing through them. His bag and gloves thrown at the nearest locker with a thud. âFucker..â A soft mumbled escaped him.Â
fxllenwxrrior :
âYou are infuriating..â This guy was some work, and annoying, just his presence alone annoyed the fallen angel. âA conversation that clearly was not wanted while I was working out and you proceeded to stick around anyway now who is lacking those social skills you keep talking about. Before you preach how about you get some yourself and take the blunt hint being told to you.â The angel sighed, hand coming up to rub at his face. Moving towards his bag he grabbed it up, he could tell he wasnât going to get any peace this afternoon. âWhy bother making any friends on this place, that is my choice and doesnât concern you.â
âMy concern was taken and I do not care for these people with my time spent on earth. You are all the same, exploit people, money, pollute the earth, ravish each other with no care. I gave up on these people a long time ago.â A laugh escaped the angelâs lips as he took a few steps back, bag in hand. âYeah, Iâd suggest at least buying me dinner before telling me your sob story of a life I care nothing about.â He could care less what poor decisions were made, what friends this guy had or what he even had for breakfast. âAllowing people to get close now provides a weakness, one I canât afford if Iâm to fight a war.â The angel turned away, heading towards the lock room and showers. âFollow all you want but you arenât getting lucky, and I highly doubt you can change my mindset. I just donât see the beneficial point in it all.âÂ
âNot all people seek to exploit otherâs weaknesses, Iago.â Cue reference to Aladdin and his little red parrot. Angels. They were so damn obnoxious and quite frankly, Alexander was starting to wonder why he was indeed losing his time with someone who could be thicker than a brick wall. Because of the Balance. Good could not exist without the evil the same way darkness could not exist without the light. To destroy one of the two would shift the power balance and with it â would come the end of everything they ever knew. It didnât matter if one was a witch, a bat, a dog or a chicken. The end would come for them all. âMy role is keep the balance of things. I do not take sides, I do not exploit or help. I do what needs to be done. Unlike you and your kind who are so determined to exterminate everything that is⊠less than holy.â
Angels. Bless their little birds heart. âYou are wanting to win a war by yourself? How do you expect to do that all alone?â Pride. It was one of the biggest sins in existence and clearly, not even holy creatures were immune to its devastating effect. âOne day you will find yourself alone and in need for assistance, Big Bird. And when that time comes, youâll remember that maybe itâs not so bad to have friends here and there. Iâm not saying that you should befriend the world. Hell â even I wouldnât do such a stupid thing. But there are people and there are people. Some might be willing to help. The Balance is important.â Yet, why would an angelical being care about such things? They only see black and white. âDonât worry â Iâm not that interested in seeing you off your clothes anymore. I find a smile and politeness a far bigger turn on than a nice body. You should try that. Smile. Maybe youâll like it.â
fxllenwxrrior :
Itâs not like he had man friends in heaven either, it was a small group of people he considered friends, family but they were dead now. âIt wouldnât hurt if you happened to be a little less annoying and playing it on so strong either.â He added, finger tips curling as his hand molded back into fists. That did strike a nerve with him, those words were a bit too true. âAll my friends are dead, so thanks for the memo.â He scoffed, eyes rolling. âOh, have I offended you?â The fallen angel took a step forward. âGet over it, I judge how I see them and you clearly gave off that Iâm here to pick up guys vibe.â It wasnât a bad face, but he wasnât going to mention that. Actually he decided to ignore that part altogether.Â
âIâm a loner for a reason, there is no time for such things. Sex, dating, friends itâs all a distraction much like you currently are.â The angel removed his gloves, tossing them over onto a small bag. âThanks, been a real charmer.â He lost the feeling of home already. âWhat makes you people so nosy, so I looked like I was in some form of distress, what gives you the right to come check on me? Why does it even matter when we are complete strangers?âÂ
Overly developed bird with daddy issues. Angelic beings were such⊠a troublesome bunch. Alexander folded his arms and leaned against the closer wall, fainting a gasp here and there as if pretending to be offended by the other manâs words â when he was clearly not. Someone people had manners. He couldnât expect a chicken to know how to behave. All they did was noise and flap their wings. âIâm hardly being annoying. You have yet to see me being annoying. I was merely making a conversation and you clearly have zero social skills. Maybe itâs because of the fact that all your friends are dead. Thatâs unfortunate and I am sorry for you - but why not make new friends? Just because you pull the holier-than-everyone-else bs doesnât mean you are better than all of us⊠hairless apes. The whole loner act was actually a thing in the 2000âs. Emos and all that shit. Itâs no longer funny. Or a fashion.â
The Warlock sighed and looked at his nails. He could leave. Turn his back and leave this angelic prick to his own doing â but why should he? Maybe now he was in the mood to be annoying. Maybe now he wanted to see how far he could go to loosen the parrotâs tongue. âYou are not that familiar with the concept of caring and concern are you? Plenty of people around donât give two shits about you. About what you are. I happen to be one of the nice guys. I happen to care and I happen to meddle affairs that are not my own with the goal of easing someoneâs grief. It wouldnât hurt if you drooped the grumpy act and allowed someone to get close. And before you go âwhy bother, you all be dead anywayâ⊠I can answer you that question. Thereâs nothing worse than being alone. It sucks. Itâs heavy. And it consumes you. Iâve been there. I made the worst life decisions during that time.â Anyway. âWe donât need to be complete strangers but if you want to go back to your nest and stroke your feathers⊠be my guest. I was just trying to make a conversation.â
The omega werewolf planned to simply lay out in the park, near a small lake, to soak up some sun now that heâd unpacked and had some time to himselfâ and, of course, that lead to him completely falling asleep.
Waking with a heavy groan, he stretched out his now cramped and aching limbs as people continued to move around him as if he wasnât there. God that was the best part about living in a place where no one knew who he was; no one paid him any attention. He was able to breath without someone offering him condolences; without someone asking how he was holding up; without that pesky hunter that saved his life checking in to make sure he was still stable. No one paid him any attention and no one cared.
Of course, as soon as he began to think he might enjoy the anonymity of being new in town, a shadow fell over him. Joshua let out a soft sigh as he stopped collecting his things, know resting on his knees, as he looked up at the stranger looming over him. âItâs been awhile since Iâve been with a man,â he grumbled, âbut usually they buy me a drink before getting me on my knees like this. Itâs the polite thing to do anyway.â Pausing for a moment, he narrowed his eyes up at the stranger before adding on. âSo are you going to move orâŠ.?â
Nature was⊠probably the most beautiful thing ever created. The whole balance between light and dark. Between serenity and utter cruelty. That was how things were. One hand that offered and another that took away. Alexander liked this. A stroll in the park, hearing the birds chirping and the whispers in the wind that spoke to him. His Mother was everywhere all around. Underneath his feet and above his head. In every flower, stone, patch of grass. In the still water of the lake that looked particularly still that day. There was magic everywhere. The Warlock could feel it in his bones. It gave him power â and power was something that one could never have enough in the current times.
It was just like any other. People walking around minding their own business, not really caring or giving a shit about one another. Their heads too deep up their asses. They didnât even stop to admire the beautiful world that surrounded them. But while others paid absolutely no mind to their surroundings, Alex did. He paid so much mind to everything that surrounded them that he even noticed the man laying down on the ground not too far from where he was. See? That was what people should do. Lay down and soak it all up.
âAs tempting as that mind sound, pretty faceâŠâ The Warlock had to chuckle, folding his arms over his chest as he looked down to the other manâs blue eyes. âI happen to like to get a guyâs name before having him on his knees. Itâs polite to moan his name than some random ass name like⊠Gil. Or Frederic. Unless those are your names. Although â I could offer you that drink. Not for the sake of you-know-what but⊠why the hell not? Not many people stop to smell the roses. Youâre a rare breed.â
fxllenwxrrior :
This guy was weird even for him it seemed he was just down right odd. Bad vibes? No, he couldnât really understand if they were bad or just awkward. âYeah, think again.. Iâm no challenge because thatâs never going to happen. If thatâs what you are looking for-â He looked around, head shaking. âAt a gym no less, Iâm sure a club would fit you much better. Not some dingy gym that smells like socks. Unless thatâs your thing in which case do it elsewhere.âÂ
âThe harm would be making you think you had a chance when itâs clear you donât. I donât date and I donât hook up with anybody.â If his body had a need he took care of it himself with his hand. Did that make him a virgin, possibly but to him it wasnât a big deal like it was to some. âDo you always ask random strangers out for drinks? Trying to slip them something?âÂ
Well â someone was rude and lacked manners. Alexander wetted his lips and folded his arms over his chest, blue eyes giving a complete head-to-toes look towards the other man. Maybe he was flirting a bit but then again, when didnât he flirt with people? It was always a nice way to put a smile on someoneâs face and if he happened to get lucky in the process? Who would deny that? But there were the occasional bad apples. Like overly developed chicken that assumed that they were so much holier than everyone else. Too bad the duck hunting season was not even close.
âIt wouldnât hurt if you happened to be a bit nicer, you know? Maybe all I was trying to do was talk to you and attempt to be funny. Do you really think a guy like me comes to the gym to get some tail? Please â I came here because I was bored. I approached you because you obviously have some pent-up issues considering how viciously you were punching that bag. You donât have to be a dick about it.â No wonder the grumpy parrot had fallen from grace with a temper like that. âWell â you donât date and you donât hook up with anybody and you clearly have no friends. I mean, Iâve seen dead people be more polite and with a better personality. But⊠be my guest.â The Warlock rolled his eyes and waved towards the other man. âOh â and fyi? With a face like this, I donât need to slip anything into anyoneâs drink. It wouldnât be a bad thing if you didnât judge people so harshly. You could offend someone.â
juantherebel :
âWell there does need to be a payment made for it. These kinds of items I retrieve for you, I donât do it without a price. I trust you can do wondrous things with such a powerful relic,â Juan said as he felt the two of them moving in closer, âSo longâŠas you donât double cross me by using it on me, my family or any of my kind. I know a balance has to be kept. And I like you a lot Lexi.â Juan groaned, snarling a little into the heated kiss they shared, and when the Blackwellâs tongue found its way into his mouth he sucked on it hard, almost tugging on it. Then he bit the otherâs lips, but not too hard. As the two of them kissed over the counter, Juan could feel a growing excitement in his pants. He kept Alexander close even though kissing over the counter was starting to get uncomfortable. After a while, he paused, pulling away, resting his forehead on the witchâs, panting slightly. The man knew how to kiss. âMmmmâŠdonât make me regret giving you the stone, Lexi, and weâll have no problems alright?â His crimson eyes landed upon the otherâs face and he flashed his usual charming smirk. âI want you. Hasnât that been obvious since the moment I walked in here?â Juan delved back in and kissed him again, wrapping their tongues around one another, he breathed into the kiss slowly to get a better taste of his friend. âLet me have a bite, Lexi,â he muttered into the kiss. He wanted to have a drink of some magical blood. He could have done it with the alchemist, but he wanted to taste Alexanderâs.
âWhy would I betray you or your family, pet?â Alexander was genuinely curious regarding the question. Sure, there were some Warlocks around that would shove a silver stake deep within a vampireâs chest if given the chance â but he wasnât one of them. There were rules that he abide for. The Balance had to be kept and as long as no one would target his family first, he would play with the good boys and keep himself out of trouble. âI will only do that if you do something first. Neither of our kinds has a good track record when it comes to trust butâŠâ The Warlock smirked against the vampireâs lips. The kiss was escalating to something far more intense than just a mere makeout session like two teenagers behind a bench. Their blood was heating up with lust and arousal and the need for something more than merely shoving their tongues down the otherâs throat. âWhat have I told you about calling me that? I donât like it, love. Makes me sound like a teenage girl that wears pigtails and goes to church school.â Wetting his lips, Alexander unbuttons the cuff on his left wrist before slowly rolling up the sleeve, presenting his forearm to the other vampire. âJust a bit, love. If you start drinking too much â Iâll make sure you puke your insides. Donât be greedy.â
