[[ By the way, does anyone know what happened to therhythmofnight, by any chance? ]]
[[ Six months I have been gone, but I don't know how to come back. I miss my characters and people I've threaded with, but it's sort of late, isn't it? I'd probably wind up leaving again anyway. :( But update, I graduated college and do freelance jobs, so that's more time. Anyway... I just wanted to say hi. If I ever come back, I'll do so on a multi-muse blog and it probably won't be soon... Bye bye for now! ]]
whatoddities replied to your post:[[ I am now starting to understand why people have...
Personally, I just have way too many muses to have them all on one blog. XD
[[ I can understand how that would get tedious and a bit messy with the tags, lol. But you do an amazing job of keeping everything together on all your characters though. I don't have the patience or attention span to take care of so many. ; u; ]]
[[ I am now starting to understand why people have multi-muse blogs instead of just constantly creating new accounts for each character... Like I have three other characters that I never use because I am too lazy to sign out of Eldingar, though I would like to use them more. I also have like fifty million character ideas and character sheets written out and the thought of creating so many blogs... Just seems easier to manage and easier to get all characters active. SO MAYBE IN THE FUTURE THIS WILL BE A THING; making all my characters just on this one blog. We'll see. I'm itching to write more characters, especially continuing with shoresoftamriel because I like how he turned out. ]]
I'll Believe You When (Faire|Eldin)
"Beautiful! Yes, yes that is all I need." The grin never left her face as she took the notes back, meandering over to set them on the desk.
"Now… Now I will need…" She was murmuring to herself now—Quiet, quick whispers that fell from her lips. They were directed at no one, really. Only herself. Her mind.
Faire glanced around and nodded, muttering something as she grabbed a small sack full of soul gems.
Each one contained a soul of various degree.
"Go stand over there," she commanded, pointing to the middle of he room. It was in a place they wouldn’t have to worry about getting the books dirty.
Well she wouldn’t.
Grabbing a small soul gem, the Archmage gripped it tightly - knuckles white - and walked over to Eldin, pressing her palm against his chest. Expression contorted in concentration, she whispered, "Do you feel anything?"
Oh, Lorkhan above... This wasn't going to be good. His faintly pointed ears perked up, trying to get any idea of what the Archmage was up to from her nearly chaotic whispering. Nothing. Gibberish went in one ear and out the other. The only thing the boy could pick up was the faint rumbling and clicking of gems in the other's pouch, similar to when he was out and about traveling and snatching souls himself. So intently focused on trying to find out what was going on, Eldingar almost jumped at her command, hurriedly shifting over to the center of the room. As soon as Faire's hand pressed to his chest, he flinched. Not because of anything magical happening, no. It was just an odd, unfamiliar feeling. Eyes wide and head slowly turning, his lips parted to exhale a shaky breath he didn't realize he'd been holding. "I'm not sure this is working..." And he hoped it wouldn't, for the sake of not turning into a bird and flying out the window only to shift into a bear and plummet to his death in the cold sea below. There were stories; ones not to be mentioned to the Archmage, just in case... "What am I supposed to be feeling?"
[[ Must get Eldingar drunk and say shitty joke to any mer race. What do you call an elven servant who lives underwater? A mer-maid. What do you call an elf that buys things at the market? A custom-mer. I take no credit from these. I didn't make them up, sadly, but I want to use them just to annoy a mer. ]]
“—You are brave. I will give you that..” But bravery of that sort oft went hand in hand with foolishness. As was made clear not only by his underestimation of a potential opponent, but thoughtless reveal of weapons best kept a secret until absolutely necessary, all elements of surprise now completely lost. ”However, do not push your luck…” This was not the first—and surely would not be the last— time generations of experience from a ruthless tutor were brought into question. However, no matter the insult, the shield maiden was never inclined to boast, a trait many Nord’s did not share— prowess in her chosen profession more than enough. Despite the accompanying jest, her offer was surprisingly genuine. The wolf a better judge of character than she led on.
A vicious smile is her response to an equally unoriginal insult. ”You may want to examine your nose, lad.” For the scent she carried was not of dog, but rather… blood.
"Right, I'll keep that in mind next I visit the doctor," he droned, idly picking at the dirt beneath his nails. "Examine nose, check. Any other useless advice you'd like to give me? Considering you did come bother me for no apparent reason other than to show off your fancy dagger and all." Eldingar wasn't amused in the slightest. Not anymore, at least. And he was still hung up on being called a pup, of all things. He hadn't dealt with any dogs, wolves, or foxes recently. Maybe he did need his nose checked, and he just couldn't pick up his own stench. There was no smile to return. Just a flat, emotionless canvas. Nothing to read. Was the boy meant to just ignore the other and make his way onto his other duties? In his mind, the woman seemed a bit unstable to come prodding about, as she didn't seem like a bandit. Just a nuisance for the time being. The sword was still hidden if there were any surprise attacks, he thought, taking a step backward casually. A moment's silence. "Or was there something you wanted from me?" Cutting to the chase seemed a better chance of not getting any cuts or bruises for the day.

Civil [Eldingar|Jude]
Anatomy midterm. Sounds easy, right? Maybe label which bone is here, which muscle is there. Yeah, maybe if this was kindergarten. Remembering what preganglionic autonomic neurons secrete against remembering what receptors are on postganglionic neurons was more of the issue. Even the thought of studying made Eldingar feel stressed, stomach flipping and fingers twitching to find something else to occupy his mind. Procrastination wouldn't get him anywhere except with a failing grade. Off to the library it had to be, if they even had anything. Hopefully so, though, as he didn't feel like burning his eyes on a computer for hours on end, nor did he want to shell out $130 for a text book he should have already had a couple months ago. Smart. Bouncing up to the second floor of the library wasn't the issue. It was finding what he needed in a mountain of useless books with flimsy little plastic screens that showed your body as a skeleton with the next screen being nothing but veins. Entertaining if you were twelve. Not entertaining when you had a test within the next few days that took up a third or more of your grade. Eldingar was doomed, possibly. Just the thought made his stomach hurt. Glancing around the area, he bit his lips while examining each section, each person that walked by, each table. Nobody looked as if they could help, or cared to, and the boy couldn't spot any librarians from up here. His eyes nearly missed a slim and slender boy, roughly a little older than himself, maybe. The other's monochromatic attire made him nearly blend into the scenery. With a small 'hmph' of curiosity, Eldingar turned, hesitating before forcing himself to go to the other boy's table. They were the closest, so they'd be the 'victim' of the day. "I don't mean to bother you," Eldingar brought his voice down to just above a whisper. "But, ah... You think you could help me out just a sec?"
[[ Sometimes to get back in the mood of writing, I'll watch a movie or tv show or random interviews that have my character's fc. Hearing their voice and watching their expressions kind of gets my juices going again. ]]

Out of the Frying Pan [Eldingar/Myra]
It had dampened her spirits greatly.
All the travelling, missing her overbearing household, the unbearable cold.. Riverwood was chilly at best, but Oblivion be damned it was freezing in the North.
Unaware of their current location, Myra just let out a long, drawn-out sigh and closed her eyes. Blinding spell? Would that fall under Illusion or Alteration? She was instantly curious, but didn’t say anything further on the subject. It definitely wasn’t an apprentice or novice spell. If it was—she would have known it.
Hm.
Mysterious.
Now unable to see, My relied on her hearing to know what was happening. Of course, all she could hear were their footsteps in the snow and Eldin speaking behind her.
What was this boy doing?
"No peeking, got it?" He affirmed once more before gently pushing her along by the shoulders up the hill. A guard came wandering to the top, obviously curious by the footsteps approaching as Winterhold wasn't exactly a hot spot. All Eldingar did was nod before placing a finger over his lips, and the guard nodded in return, though eyed him suspiciously. Even if they did slightly know each other, it wasn't very often the boy came back into the village toting someone else around. The snow gave way to cobblestone, slightly clicking under their heels. He hoped it wasn't too obvious; that My wouldn't notice and uncover her eyes. Eldingar cleared his throat to cover up the noise before opening his mouth, "It shouldn't really be too much longer, honestly. I'd say half a day, and if you want to stop at the inn to get warm, then we can." Two more steps and they cleared said inn, now passing by the crumbled houses from a disaster long past. There was a faint crackling that rumbled in his bones as soon as they stepped foot onto the school bridge, making him inhale deeply. That welcoming feeling -- home. Or, at least, a secondary home. Carefully guiding My along the turns, he mumbled along, "After we talk to the Archmage and she gives you your robes, I'll take you to your dorm and help you unpack. I'm not sure if your feathered friend is allowed in, but I think we can find a place where he's comfortable." The black gates were open, as if they knew they'd be receiving company soon. Slowing down gracefully, Eldingar brought them to a halt. Before them stood the towering, stone mage, arms outstretched in either a welcome or summoning. Indigo light shot up to the sky from a deep, glowing pool, casting shadows over the snow-painted grounds. White flakes danced and whirled, melting as soon as they touched either the boy or girl. Leaning in to My's ear, a smile could be heard in Eldingar's hushed whisper, "Open your eyes."
Ain't This a Surprise... [Eldingar, Mabel]
"Almost caught you, didn’t I?" Mabel shot back, raising a brow and giving the Breton a smug smile. She seemed to mull over his offer for a while, as if weighing the options of continuing by herself, or dragging along some stranger.
The decision was easy: the stranger was funny. So she chose to go along with him.
"S’pose I wouldn’t mind the company," she said eventually, shrugging as if it was a minor thing. "Though it’d be a shame not to learn your name, friend. I’m Mabel."
"Almost," Eldingar drawled out mockingly, narrowing his eyes. "But not quite. I still had a chance to get away, or worse, didn't I?" His lips quivered upward playfully before he forced them back down, obviously showing he was joking. And took it the wrong way, no doubt. Anything that sounded even just the least bit suggestive from a woman's mouth, he took it that way, doubled. It didn't matter the race or age or even if they were attractive or not, in his eyes. Taking a step closer and clearing his throat, he continued, "I'm Eldingar, though most just call me Eldin for short. Your pick." The Breton shrugged, titling his head in the process. "Now how about we go get you something to eat before you starve? Might have to steal a bit myself though."
Shadow of the Colossus The Farthest Land
I'll Believe You When (Faire|Eldin)
Whipping around, she caught the form of the student. A giddy grin spread across her face and she clasped her hands together. "Eldingar! That is you, yes? I need your help. You see; I’m working on an experiment. I just need a willing participant."
Movements quick, she turned around and haphazardly retrieved the notes form her desk, taking a few long strides to shove the papers into Eldin’s grasp. "There you are! Read it over, read it over!" Red and gold eyes bright, the Arch Mage glanced around, making sure the soul gems were in their usual place on the shelf.
They were.
Good. Very good.
"Yes, ma'am", he mumbled, quickly glancing over the disorganized stack of notes. Any that 'accidentally' fell to the floor weren't retrieved. The writing was just barely a level above chicken scratch... Or were they just another language entirely that the Archmage figured Eldin would understand? At least, that's how his sleepy mind took it, even though the handwriting was perfectly fine. Regardless, the papers didn't tell him anything, and if he was being honest, that frightened him. Not that he would let it show, however. "So...," he started, pausing to catch his words. "You're going to just... Use me for a couple experiments, then I can get back to my work, yes?" The Breton added in a hopeful smile, holding the papers back out for the Archmage to take. All he really wanted to do was hide under the covers again. "If that's it, then sure. I've no problem."
