After watching that episode of Rescue Bots where Chase admits he would be miserable if there was no crime to stop I came up with this insane crack AU where Chase runs a crime ring by night so there is more complex crime to bust by day with his buddies.

It was a while ago that I came up with this so I no longer remember the details, but I think I imagined midway through the story Heatwave would follow leads on the crime ring back to Chase's operation (as pictured above) and be like "Holy shit Chase if anyone finds out about this you're going to be in prison FOREVER if not WORSE" and in Heatwave's ride or die fashion he would cover for Chase on the promise that Chase shuts this deal down. If you can't beat them, join them, right? Chase, of course, has lost all control over the situation and doesn't know how to fix things without ruining his and Heatwave's lives. I believe I plotted for the climax of the story to be a gun fight between the out of control gang and the Griffin Rock police department. Chase, with the authority to control the gang and the police, would be out of time for fixing things quietly and realises that he's got to blow his cover and call things off now because people are actually dying right here right now. Maybe charlie could get shot for that extra angst. It's not a story i'd ever be bothered to write but I DO love to toss double life Chase around in my brain so perhaps one day I will finish this wip (it's about 6 months old now)
