i honestly die every single day because no matter how hard you look at it, no matter what perspective you look from, light had it the worst?? she’s hands down the saddest character in the kageru crew?? adam comes close but the difference between adam and light is that he’s more about anger and she’s more about sadness, deep set sadness compared to his deep set anger. they’re ruled by different emotions and their characters play off of said emotions, but like?? she’s so sad, i could place her next to every character in the kageru crew and she’d always have the worst time. what’s most sad about light’s part in everything is that she gets a little taste of the good life as opposed to everyone else and has to throw it away (or feels like she has to) compared to all the other characters that don’t and live with obliviousness that only lingers. she was torn in half her whole life; with the decision to live life or die, to save one person or the other, to love someone or not?? light got no rest, ever, and felt as though she could never do anything for herself like she so desperately wanted to because countless people were waiting and counting on her, so she wasted everything and never even let herself grieve for the fact that she never truly had a life? 

it seems like she ran away from kageru and had a good life for a little while as adam suffered but she was constantly torn between things and running from left to right, she was never truly devoted to anyone or anything because she could never figure out which way was right or wrong. light is just really, really sad and she makes me feel a certain kind of sadness compared to all the other characters...... one day i’ll learn how to word this better but i’m dead.

         They lie: Wolves of girls, girls of wolves — There are only snakes and foxes in this shallow grave of theirs. Tongues that prickle, kisses that hurt; lungs that tear and hearts that lunge ( Rotten, rotten she was, a facade, a pretender, a body of lies: A smile of false bearing speaks with a voice brim with honey, ‘ I am everything they want me to be ’ ), they beg the body, they cremate the mind, they ask what it would take to be alive again, to be whole. She is a mangled coffin, a cold blaze, a dead pyre in an open graveyard — A snake in the flame that drips with oil and blood ( They were the ones who set you on fire, they were the ones who told you to run ), and now: A demon pretending to be a girl. She hisses Kageru and she blends a lie, she grins at lilith and tells her how hell was, a smile stuck to her needle teeth; mauled and murderous, red ultraviolence keen on her neck, waiting for the noose. Her heart was a grave on fire, a thousand screaming spiders, witches in her hair, thorns in her crown ( The stone was her throne ) as she was delivered, as the slaughterhouse becomes her home, as the white in her hair descends into sanguine, as blood meets blood and now everything matches her sinister eyes. They thought her a fool, a woman in a grave, they thought she still had blood to spill, blood they could take and eat ( They thought she wouldn’t know ), they thought she knew nothing about black - singed apocalypse, about the death of mercy, they thought, and they perished. She sits smitten in her grave, coated with their blood, corpse flowers luring poor, precious girls away from their mothers, their homes, their sun — she weaves women out of them, she threads their teeth and harps their spine, she tells them what freedom tastes like in these thick wilds of bloodless corpses. Her dark matches mine, her eyes the same color, her teeth the same bite — Girls would be girls, and boys would be meals. Your name was Light, but the dark suited you better ( And if it didn’t take you, I would ).
