Hi Charles, I was wondering whether you would want to be a possible source in a project proposal I am making for my college. I want to have diverse sources, and a male feminist interested in gender equality would be a great source to have. I totally understand if you are too busy or whatever, but I would appreciate it. I'm still streamlining my project, but the main idea is that college students in my community that are breaking gender stereotypes educate young children about equality. -Deve :)

whether youre a fan of lady gaga or macklemore or whoever else its people like them who fight for our generation to live in a better world and i think sometimes everyone just needs to stop and appreciate that this is happening right now and the world is actually changing for better

Today is Women's Equality Day. It was established in 1971 by Congress to commemorate the 1920 ratification of the 19th Amendment, giving women the right to vote. I am not celebrating today because I believe there is little to celebrate and far, far more on which to reflect and rectify. Women are still vastly underrepresented in all sectors of power, make far less than men for doing the same jobs, and remain highly scrutinized over every aspect of their personal lives, right down to so-called "responsibility" in their own rapes and choices over their own healthcare. Let's honor those women who have built a strong foundation for equality, but please refrain from pretending like we live in a post-misogynistic culture. As a society, we have a very, very long way to go.
