“God, he was amazing. Tall, smart, brown eyes, dark brown hair, funny, caring, honest and loving. He was…wow, I just can’t even describe him. Parker definitely takes after and looks like Oliver. It’s uncanny how alike they are.” Lila laughed a little, shaking her head. She frowned a little when he described his injury and how it ruined his career. “That’s awful, I’m sorry.” she said softly. “I can imagine. I’m thinking about going into school counseling instead of working for a private firm.”
“It must be comforting to see him in your kids like that. And how is Parker doing with losing his dad?” He only mentioned the boy, considering her daughter wasn’t born until after. While Blake had lost his parents he was lucky to have many more years than her children. “Oh nah. It’s okay. It’s been a long time,” he shrugged it off. “Really? That would be really cool? I tell yeah, just from some of my interactions with the athletes in the school, a lot of kids need that. Who knows? Maybe we could be co-workers,” he nudged her gently with his elbow, smiling.
