Having HEDs is just waking up at 4am with a subluxed shoulder, doing some ungodly contortion to relocate it and managing to mess up your other shoulder in the process so having to relocate that and then not being able to get back to sleep after, and then having to carry on with your day because you have stuff to do 😭😭😭😭😭

I got my Dad to watch spirited away yesterday and hes now asking to watch another ghibli movie tonight.

The best thing about having HEDS is when your gp has to have th nhs website open while diagnosing because shes never heard of it before and then when you are going through the beighton scale shrieks in horror and asks if that hurts 🤣🤣🤣

She also had a student doctor in the room. Imagine how awkward it is to have a gp and a student staring at your knees having a whole conversation about how hyperextended they are while you are just standing there able to hear the whole conversation

I was freaking out that my 7 year old nephew learnt basic coding last year because i never learnt that at his age but then i remembered that when i was 6 we had one computer in the whole school and it was one of these

I found my school reports from age 9 upwards and they literally state every single symtom of dyslexia and say i need to work on improving it but somehow i wasnt diagnosed until i was 15.

Not even being funny, my report from year six said i couldnt write on the lines, all my letters were different sizes, rubbish at spelling, forgot capital letter and full stops, placed capital letters randomly in the middle of sentences and when reading often read words so wrong it completely changed the meaning of sentences. Also said i had trouble with organisation and was very messy. With my school things and my work to the point my teacher said she was wondering if someone next year would be able to compete for the “coveted title” of “messy mathmaticion” literally getting dragged my whole school report but never got reccomended for diagnosis?

Would you think its normal behaviour for a 10/11 year old kid about to go to secondary school to not be able to even write letters of a similar size? Surely that would raise some kind of red flag
