One of the dumbest things I've heard people say about intelligence is that if you're so smart why aren't you this epic manipulator so you can get what you want?

Moral feelings aside these people actually think socialization is when you put enough points into charisma stats and by selecting the right dialog box you can just hypnotize people into doing whatever you want.

The thing about this sort of commentary is how unbelievably dumb it is. Yes you can learn to be more charismatic to make people join cults or even scam them but there are limits. Take a look around you and see what ultra charismatic people actually do especially if they have nothing else. They become coaches, preachers, influencers, podcasters, etc. While horrendously uncharismatic people like Zuckerberg and Elon Musk are incredibly successful.

What's even worse is that this is sort of claim is something you can test yourself no matter what your intelligence level is. If socialization was a matter of these charisma points why don't you yourself go around manipulating people with 75 IQ or below? How often do you do that? If you're so much smarter than they are then this should be no problem.

Anyways put down the video games and actually go outside. Or learn some self awareness idk

I'm not autistic but I perfectly understand their struggles with the world. People falsely focus on spoken language as the driver for communication but this is highly misleading. While there is also body language even this doesn't fully capture communication at all.

What people don't realize is how much of communication is implicit and pre-existing in a given culture. There are already cultural norms and customs which are like "rules" that you should already know. This is almost like a "sense" but calling it that is also misleading because it's part of the everyday background practices that should either be socialized into you when you were young or in a sense you were born with this knowledge to a certain degree as well.

In a sense you can say that communication was already performed prior to anyone even opening their mouths. "Communication" has already been performed if you even merely exist in society.

Missing this "sense" or having a totally different sense altogether (maybe because you were raised in another culture) is what sometimes causes misunderstandings despite both parties speaking the same spoken language.

Neurotypicals will have a harder time understanding what I just wrote because they live and breathe mostly effortlessly in these background practices like the air around them. Only those living outside of this system or are struggling with it are often the ones that see it.

One of the biggest issues with society today is the lack of serendipity.

If you go outside how often do you come across new friends, lovers, or material opportunities like new jobs?

How is it that we're more interconnected than ever but we're so much more isolated? The "outside" world is a barren wasteland but it wasn't always this way.
