Me every time thereās a Jax panic attack/angst scene in TADC.
It makes me actually ill to think about how Jax and Ragatha are constantly seeking out each other's attention.... Like they claim to not care but they are ALWAYS instigating so they can make the other react. And it's not even just Jax who does this, Ragatha is more subtle most of the time but she is SO bad with it too. Theyre genuinely obsessed with each other.
I soooo frequently think about when Ragatha is teaching Gangle softball stuff and Jax accidentally hits her and she immediately goes "JAX š¤¬š¤¬š¤¬š¤¬" and yells at him until the audio fades out. It's the funniest thing in the world to me that she's so sweeties all the time and so nervous to stand up to literally anyone else and risk hurting their feelings, but whenever Jax does something she doesn't like she does NOT hesitate to put him in his place.
The best part about this is how much Jax is concerned with how she sees him because you can hear them still having a conversation where he says, "Why do you always make me the bad guy. I'm not actually a bad guy."
GLITCH really chose THAT song for the new ad, huh?
The Kinger/Queenie and Baron/Martha parallels will never fail to amaze me because I wonder why Queenie abstracted and why Kinger despised himself for it.
Also, I find it strange how Jax and Ragatha are yet again chosen for dynamic parallels to Baron/Martha and Kinger/Queenie too but thatās a post for another time.
WAIT. THESE SCENES LITERALLY PARALLEL EACH OTHER.
ik i said i wasnāt going to talk ab it bc i didnāt care but she still doesnāt know she told him she hated him and apparently that means nothing to some people
Hey!! Hope you're doing well!! After watching ep 8, do you think that ragatha and jax might've still been friends? It feels like a deeper relationship between the two has been hinted at multiple times throughout the show but we haven't seen anything since ep 6. It would genuinely be a shame if the "Not anymore" and "I failed Jax" and also the repeated targeting on Jax's part didn't mean anything. We also haven't seen Ragatha in Jax's torture sequence in this episode and she also wasn't there when he was on the verge of abstraction nor was she in the picture. Apologies for the rambling but I just really wanted to hear your thoughts on the matter ^^ Have a great day/night!!
More thorough yapping under the cut (it got a bit long)
I made my versions of Radiostatic in TADC, it's like an Au(?
Obviously bunnydoll because it reminds me of them (only the other way around, Jax as Alastor and Ragatha as Vincent, only with outfits more similar to the present)
I still donāt understand how those Ragatha and Jax sibling theories still exist when this scene basically confirms that they can recognize known voices from the real world. I doubt two siblings would forget each otherās voices, let alone be shipped by the VAs that are aware of how the story ends.
For exampleā¦
A couple of years ago, one user asked Gooseworx what song reminded her of Jax and she described āDonāt Fence Me Inā as one.
The song focuses on a man who seeks independence and autonomy, a life in the countryside that he can reign. He sings alongside one or more female artists in every version, where she seeks the same freedom life refused to give her.
Stargazing, country life, horseback riding, avoiding being āfenced inā by emotions. Now, what does THAT remind me of?
DO YOU ALL SEE THE VISION TOO?!
Since we are aware Jax projects his own thoughts and feelings onto other circus members (ex: the Stargazing scene), the addition to Gooseworx confirming that Jax is suicidal gives this scene a WHOLE new meaning.
At first, I assumed Jax was making a dark joke at the expense of Gangle and to simply upset Ragatha, but maybe that was not the entire case. Even by his expression, it looks like heās trying to laugh off something thatās clearly hurting him (judging by his facial expression and mannerisms).
Did what Ragatha say to him in Episode 4, not only hurt him, but INCREASED his ideation in a way? Goodness gracious.
Wait wait wait this actually goes along with something I noticed about this scene too
So like...Jax wasn't there when Ragatha called Gangle annoying, he was off getting tortured and didn't re-enter the scene until after it'd happened. And since Ragatha doesn't remember what she said and neither Gangle nor Zooble are likely to have told Jax about it, it's likely that he just heard about it through the grapevine and doesn't really know what took place, just that Ragatha said something hurtful to Gangle while stupid sauced. And that knowledge makes this instance stand out even more bc Jax isn't trying to gaslight Ragatha, he's making a guess at what happened with nothing to go off of but his own experience with her in that state. With that in mind, it's telling that the first place his mind went to was "you told her to kill herself," as that's likely the first association his mind made. Also, I never noticed until now just how drastically his expression shifts during this scene.
He is desperate for some reassurance that she didn't mean it and even more desperate to make her think that he doesn't care.

yes exactly!! smth similar to that happens in softball adventure too imo jax completely changed ragatha's adventure bc at the very beginning she said she hadn't written this in the submission box, and there weren't supposed to be evil clones, an evil orbsman (which jax hates, btw), or a giant centipede in that adventure so basically, jax used the changes in ragatha's adventure to project his hurt onto her words about hate. he used evil ragatha for that jax lied to ragatha, telling her she told gangle to kill himself bc jax was hurt by her words and projected his thoughts onto gangle and in the softball adventure he projected his hurt onto the evil ragatha. "nobody loves you and you'll die some day," said evil ragatha. this was like a message from jax to ragatha about how ragatha sounded to jax in ep 4 when she said she hates him because that line sounded way too personal and out of nowhere. an npc couldn't possibly know something about ragatha and her loneliness. those were jax's thoughts bc he was the one who changed ragatha's adventure, meddling in it and projecting his feelings into it jax hinted far too often at killing himself or someone in ep 5: "i'll kill ragatha if we go through something like a fast-food adventure" "remember when you told gangle to kill himself? that was fun" "nobody loves you and you'll die some day"

Some of you guys need to rewatch the entire show if you genuinely believe the Jax and Ragatha possible lore was something completely made up by Bunnydoll fans.
Some Bunnydoll fans are only fans thanks to those canon implications the show itself gave. However it's being handled now doesn't take that away
I know you can't have sex in the circus, but maybe other things are allowed?
And Radiostatic because I liked both couples because they act like divorced people, don't ask, haha
The TADC fandom will analyze every bit of dialogue/background detail imaginable but when it involves a ship or character they hate, all of that detective work is missing and boiled down to surface level judgement and it makes me SICKKKK.
struggling to ship Jax with anybody else cause based on canon all he'll do is bring up Ragatha in a conversation to his partner all the time what a loser
