Um, no. I’ve been terribly busy. I thought I’d catch up this weekend, but who knows if I’ll find the time. I got a bit weary of Markus tbh.

Clip 4 and I’m getting more uncomfortable by the second

Poor lonely Markus, grasping at straws, so to speak. This time it’s someone he was in class with without even noticing, a nobody to Cool School Prince Markus, who’s now one of the few left to hang out with in Brandbu.

He really is left behind by everybody, isn’t he.

And dun-DUN-dun, maybe fredastaco (I didn’t catch his real name) knows something about Karoline that Markus doesn’t know.

Since I’m not doing any translating or anything other useful I’ll just keep treating my (poor) followers to spoilery thoughts as I watch

WHAM there your hopes for moving back home with some dignity went, Markus. Andreas isn’t going to plan any business ventures with you, not for real.

I’m thinking that Markus is probably the somewhat immature dreamer in his crew, he’s the one who clings to something that perhaps was never there, not to the extent he imagined, anyway?The others are making plans and growing up, doing their things in new places if they’ve moved, while Markus has gone nowhere, really.

He’s a total mess. I love it so far.

I know this is very pre-mature, but I think blank is gonna go out with a bang. This season will probably be the best. I'm familiar with the lead actor, Alfred, through his friendship w tarjei and that play that they did at school together. I recall that reviews from the play often separated him as the /one/ to watch. And now i get to watch. It's so great that ur posting ⭐ thank u!! Sidenote: did you ever find out what 'kokosbolle' is

I hope you’re right! When they did Nyanser av gris I noted that Alfred Ekker Strande seems to be an actor to keep an eye on, and I’m looking forward to this season. 

@hakkepeiling sorted out the kokosbolle question in their translation, they’re called Snowballs! Actually, they were mentioned in S2 as well, but I couldn’t for the life of me remember the word.

One clip down. First of all, I love that this isn’t Oslo-centric. We’re somewhere in Hadeland, fairly rural Norway (but still close to Oslo), there are small towns there but nothing big.

Spoliers ahead:

Markus’ life is in shambles, apparently. He seems to have left his job (in Oslo?) without giving notice, he’s just packed up and gone home to his parents and his girlfriend who’s still in upper secondary school. It looks like he used to live in a separate flat in his parents’ house, since it’s all packed where he enters and sits down, after finding out that his parents changed the alarm code without telling him - that’s a very clear message that he doesn’t live there anymore, to them, but I bet things went bad for him and he has nowhere else to go.

I can’t remember a first clip in any show in this format where the main was so obviously neck deep in shit. Oh, this might get very interesting.

First question: wtf is “kokosbolle” in English

looked a bit closer at the blank s3 header and decided to look up text we can see in the back! and it is the lyrics to this song:

the song is by a very well known band from the same area as this season takes place. the title translates to “a man from hadeland” (hadeland being the place this season takes place)

the world is doing blank season 2 so dirty.

these people are creating actual spotify artist pages for a fictional band with actual songs we can stream and listen to, playing songs on the radio (for, u know, good measure) and then having our main character do an interview about it plus they’ve made a handful of spotify playlists so viewers can ~engage with zehra directly. not to mention they’ve found new and interesting ways to digitally tell a story whilst still maintaining the “post in real time” format 

 i’m just……….so sad that all of this work is not getting the appreciation it deserves lmao they’ve seriously set the bar high this season
