We’re raised to think that it’s bad to be the one that loves more. It’s like love is a losing game and we all do our best to not be the one who loses worst. But there is nothing bad about being the one who loves more, there is no shame of that. We also tend to assume that other people are more emotionally mature and stable than we are, we tend to forget that we’re all messed up and even when someone seems to be well-adjusted and mature that isn’t necessarily true. There are a billion reasons why things don’t work out, but I think that the ones that cause most heartbreak are our pride and fear of emotions. We’re so scared of negative emotions that we do everything to prevent from experiencing them even if it means potentially losing something good. We play safe. We do everything to lose small, but that’s not what I want. I want to win big and I know the risk it carries.

That kind of laughter. Joy.
Dear friends, keep away from anything that might take God’s place in your hearts.
