#sometimes similarly to this comic I describe my ocd experience as being stuck in a box #where with each compulsion the box gets smaller #and with that it tends to get more and more uncomfortable in there. it hurts you. you get cut off of many things you have enjoyed before #with time you start enjoing less & less these things as well #you get cut off of many new experiences too. box walls at some point stop showing you the actual reality outside of it #you start perceiving it solely through lenses of your anxiety fears and intrusive thoughts #and the more you stay in your safe box the harder and scarier it gets to leave it #so you stick to your complulsions again and again.. folding and unfolding those paper cranes in an endless loop #with each crane your interest to life lessens. and you fold and unfold those all day long. just like in comic at one point your #real wellbeing doesn't matter to you anymore #surely you feel like staying in box folding those cranes keeps you safe. then you realize how much it actually been harming u all this time #but you no longer feel like you can leave the box and stop with cranes #and you don't know how to do that either with how high anxiety levels grew up to be #this is a really great comic. thank you so much #ocd #rb #other's art #tw vent #vent
