speaking of hallways and pathways and etc im sou excited for my new zine and to have this opportunity to revisit all this research i did in like 2024-25.... hoping to finish all the illustrations i need to finish before the end of this month @ __ @ its the first zine i want to try getting printed ~professionally.... so excited..... ive been planning on putting up my zines online somewhere for people to read/download also but im sure ill have a few leftover after the comic/zine fair im doing next month that ill list on my shop. this theme is very calgary centric but the concept of a pedway is universal if you live in a city so i hope people will still be intrigued........ trust i only pick the most Entertaining Topics to write about... (lying)

there's something about your art that i just really like... i don't know how to describe it, but sometimes your art just Feels like how it feels to ride the train in the city, or to walk through a park... the way you often have so many lines connecting and crossing over each other just Feels like how it is to exist in the world.. moving through these systems of connected paths. and then when you place characters in them, it's like... YESSSS that's exactly how the experience of standing or moving.. not only do you just have such a fantastic grasp of like. posing and the way bodies move, but there's also something you frequently do, and i'm not sure whether it's the colors or the perspective, but the characters feel both like they blend into the world, and also that they're the biggest part of it.. not necessarily Literally the biggest part, but like... they pop! they pop, but you can somehow also miss them at first glance?? it really speaks to me.. when i'm walking in the city, i know im a part of the background, but i also experience everything Through me. im the biggest part of the scene, and i'm no different than all of the many other details around me...! idk i was looking at your art for a while the other day, and then i ended up going out at night, and i found myself thinking just how connected the two things felt. hopefully this isn't strange to send, i just like your art a lot!!

not strange to send at all this made my day thank you!!!! i need to print out this comment and put it up lol you are so kind T__T. i love hearing peoples interpretations of my works it honestly makes it worth it for me-especially when said interpretations align so well with what my intentions are with making these pieces. so much of my practice is literally just walking around and experiencing things and the concept of illustrating this 'overlap' with other pathways and people is so cool to me and im happy it comes across in my more complicated pieces..... i didnt grow up in a big city so i think my romanticization (how tf do u even spell this nobody say anything) of living in a place that is so busy definitely helped me to achieve whatever tf is going on in my work rn. its just so cool. its so cool to exist in a space where there is so much going on and so many people with their own stories and routes and etc. i love it so much i really do. THANK YOU AGAIN!
