Bugs!

Can you draw a jeepney?

Philippine Jeepneys are traditionally moving works of art, customized by their owners, to represent the culture and faith of Filipinos. You would see portraits of Jesus or family members. Some jeeps have anime characters or landscapes. These days, jeeps are more utilitarian and lack the flamboyant colors and designs that was part of our tradition.

But we can still draw them in any way we like, right? What significant symbols would you put to customize your jeepney?

Thinking of Red.

Mandala

Online art classes can be tough. But if you find the right project, the right mood, and the right prompts, you get the students to let go and start moving their pens and markers over the paper.

Free-form Collage

The junior high students mark their art paper with lines and shapes to add 'texture' to the paper. Some took out bits and pieces of ephemera and scraps from newspapers and notebooks to add to their work.

One of the few times that they found themselves immersed in the process of just making art. :)
