After several weeks of being open and announcing our first event, it’s become clear that BLCKTMPL could really benefit from having a few extra hands on deck! Certain tasks require undivided attention that our small team can’t properly give them, so naturally we’re reaching out to make everything run more smoothly. Please read through the entire post before applying for a position with us.
Please understand that should you get a position with us, you will not be in charge of reforming the whole roleplay. Many of our major tasks are already well accounted for. While we’re not saying that a new mod will never assist in any of these tasks, they’re very unlikely to be asked to help with them right off the bat. Some of the tasks that we do not need new mods to handle are events and event planning, graphics and themes, and general administrative assignment.
Some of the tasks that we do need help with include general upkeep (such as queuing ads, checking the inbox and updating reserve lists), dashboard management and supervision, managing and updating/perfecting the points system, and running activity checks as needed.
Before applying, please keep the following points in mind: Do you have time to devote to BLCKTMPL’s administration? Are you comfortable working closely with BLCKTMPL’s current admod team? Are you interested in helping with the tasks we need the most help with? Where are your skills best used in an admod team?

What does the weapon looks like in its initial form?
the rod separates into two pieces, which then turn into a pair of tonfas. they consists of a stick with a perpendicular handle attached a third of the way down the length of the stick, and is about 15–20 inches, or 38–51 cm, long. it is not made of the traditional red or white oak material, but instead of metal, for better durability.
What will the weapon look like in its evolved form?
the two tonfas then shape in a chain scythe. it is linked with a long metal chain with each end of the it tipped with a black leather handle that has a small double-edged and double-pointed scythe blade attached. three dark grooves appear below each blade.
EVERY SUNDAY, we have an activity check. All muses who have posted at least once since last Sunday are considered safe, while muses who have not met this requirement are considered inactive. Members who are dropped or cleared are free to rejoin us at any time, and we welcome you back with either a new muse or a returning muse should you decide to join us!

PART ONE: The Hunger Maze
What is it that humans and gods crave the most? It is recognition. To be called a hero or a god you must first be recognized. Your journey begins in the bottom of a man-made hole in the middle of nowhere. This is the setting of the 2018 Nightbound Tournament. Without warning, the Korean Collective scrapped the idea of an in-house round and went straight for the national round.
Hundreds of candidates are caged like wild animals down in the pit. The unlucky ones have been trapped down there for weeks while the entire migration takes place. You recall the Masked Ones’ rough treatment, how they treated you all like prisoners as they forced you into a jumpsuit and handcuffed you during the trip to this shithole. It reeks of blood and feces down here. Each and every one of you are locked in cells in the bottom of this wretched pit. Light barely reaches the bottom. It is so dark that relying on your sense of sight is practically useless. Simulations have not prepared you for this. “Only the worthy ones will survive,” they tell you. The only luxury you get is the food and water they give you.
Finally, the waiting is over. The guards drop a set of clothes along with your daily rations. They give you your cylinder and any equipment you usually use during missions, but nothing too fancy or too destructive; nothing with destructive power beyond a grenade. A strident sound can be heard. Minutes later, the gates to the cells open up. They announce through the speakers that the first mission of the Nightbound Tournament has begun. You learn that you have a limited time to reach the surface alive. Those who fail shall remain in the abyss never to see the light of day. The hallway leads you to a set of stairs and you climb to reach the first level. If you thought that it would be an easy way up, you are mistaken. Each floor represents a circle of Hell, and you must clear each one in order to continue your journey up. Each floor brings its own surprise to the table. Alone or in a team, you decide how you reach the top.
Once the candidates climb up the first thirty flights of stairs to reach the first floor, they end up in a labyrinth. The only source of light are the neon strips at the bottom of the walls. Once you step in, you hear growls followed by many distinctive moans. Anyone familiar with Dante’s Inferno could guest right away that this floor is reminiscent of the purgatory for the gluttons. You must hurry to find your way out from this maze, because starving fiends have waited for your arrival. There are the crazed and famished prisoners who will hunt you to survive from starvation. If you remain to long in the labyrinth, the rabid dogs like those who devoured Jezebel are released making it even harder to make it out alive.
The national round of the Nightbound Tournament, an annual event where one candidate has the chance to become the Victor, has officially begun. The name given for this trial, this grandiose mission, is ASCENSION and it is an O-Level mission. The Korean branch of the Collective did not want to wait and begin softly. No, the promoters want to show off the elite candidates from the Seoul Hive, the Busan Hive, the Incheon Hive, the Daegu Hive and the Ulsan Hive. They have so much in store for the members of the Collective to feast upon. After all, everyone has been quite interested in the Korean Hives, especially the Seoul Hive that has been showing great promise throughout 2018. Through ASCENSION, candidates with enough wit and strength should be able to excel and to survive this ordeal.
The Korean Hive canned the idea of having an in-house round before the national round. They believed that hives, especially the Seoul Hive, had suffered enough internally. Or, perhaps, by starting the national round earlier, they could plan a mission larger and deadlier than what they would be allowed to do if they followed the traditional route. By putting the candidates immediately into the national round, they have to fight against their own Hive as well as the other Hives from Korea. The top placements on the leaderboard will be granted the opportunity to go to the third round, continental round. The Busan Hive has represented Korea repeatedly for years; no Seoul Hive candidates have ranked high enough or were able to beat the Busan Hive in previous national missions.
Since ASCENSION is an O-Level mission, it is automatically worth 500 LP (which will be given at the end of the event along with the code for the overall mission). Your candidate must clear each floor in order to complete ASCENSION. The promoters judged that the first floor, the Hunger Maze, is worth 300 LP (equivalent to an A-Level mission).
There are two types of threats.
The first threat is the prisoners, death row inmates to be exact, specially selected for their brutal and bloodthirsty crimes. They are hungry for blood, in more ways than one. They are not to be underestimated.
The other threat, just as lethal, are starved Doberman dogs. They are a breed of dog known to attack and to kill humans when unchecked (the main motive of the Collective to release such animals).
Another note, your candidates are up against the Seoul Hive and other Hives to rank in the Leaderboard. Foul play and dirty acts are permitted; therefore, candidates might end up being attacked and murdered by other candidates (meaning that there are actually three threats). If your candidate wants attempt to breeze through it alone, for this floor, they may be able to succeed. Teams are also permitted.
To exit the floor, the candidate must find the gate. They will be able to climb up the staircase and continue their journey.

elongating, a long, metal chain materialized where once the cylinder used to be. each end of the chain is tipped with a handle that has a small double-edged, double-pointed scythe blade attached—both silver. the handles are yellow of color, become orange in the middle and finally reddish at the top—similar to a flame.
What will the weapon look like in its evolved form?
for it’s evolved form, the chain transforms into something sturdier; a plain, sleek black staff, with a much more impressive scythe at the top. the blade arches away from the ends into a curve, similar to the weapon of the personified force of death, the grim reaper. however, there’s a twist: adding the element of fire that his handles used to represent, the blade has been set alight and is searing hot, able to cut through most of anything like butter. though it’s most effective for close combat, he can also create a strong wave blast of fire with a simple swing. this, however, drains up most of his energy.

a traditional chinese seven-section chain whip with a poisonous dart on its loose end, oily black in colour.
What will the weapon look like in its evolved form?
a chain, roughly 3.5 metres in length, with the head of a meteor hammer on one end while the opposite one retains the original dart already present in the weapon’s previous form. any touch deals poisoning damage, the severity tied to the wielder’s energy and nature of the hit.
