In Ancient Greek mythology, Lamia (Greek:  Λάμια) was  a mistress of the god  Zeus, causing Zeus’ jealous wife,  Hera, to kill all of Lamia’s children  and transform her into a monster that hunts and devours the children of others.  Some accounts say she has a serpent’s tail below the waist.  In later stories, Lamia was cursed with the inability to close her eyes so that she would always obsess over the image of her dead children. For thousands of years monsters have been persecuted, vilified and feared by the mortal humans. Thousands, perhaps millions, have been slaughtered and chased away over the years. After so long of being the villain, a group of supernatural creatures got together and created a place for their youth to learn in a safe environment, far away from the prying eyes of mortal humans. This place would come to be known as Mountain Heights Boarding School, a school for supernatural teenagers. Students come from all around the world to be given a proper education like any other school but with an added bonus of teaching young monsters how to survive in the mortal human world. Some of the students have just become monsters, turned from human to supernatural, while others were born and raised into the monster realm. Hundreds of youths have come to the remote mountains of Oregon to attend the hundreds of years old boarding school. However, even behind the protected walls of their school, evil can still reach the inexperienced and powerful young monsters.
