What I hate about writing is when I have to write so much before I finally get to the part I actually wanted to write.

the beach.

There is beach across the road like many others you have seen. With fine sand that sticks like hot glue and meets dwindling flats of grass on one side and weakly lapping water on the other. With dogs that swim to rescue owner’s splashing in the sea, met with a laughing pat and sent back to saturate a towel that waits more patiently than he. Where the sun latches on to bare skin and tattoos its signature for safe keeping, warms the water in side bottles and ferments seaweed and salt like kimchi.
