Blessed in Spite Of
You are blessed in spite of all that you've done wrong. In spite of all your weaknesses. In spite of everything you used to be. You are blessed. We all are.
We all make mistakes. Promises we don't intend to keep. Goals that will never be accomplished. We all judge based on appearances. Based on where you come from. We are all sinners. We are doomed to die.
But with Christ, and Christ alone, there is hope. A light at the end of the tunnel. A lighthouse beckoning to incoming ships. Through his sacrifice of dying on the cross, we have obtained the blessing of eternal life. Life without all those "in spite of" moments. Without our weaknesses. Without constant reminder of our past. We are made anew. We are redeemed. And we are blessed to be so.
