Hello! My name is Lynx Andrew and I am a new Lutheran Christian. This blog is to catalog my journey back into faith and to meet like-minded believers :)

I am a very progressive person, and am openly gay and transgender. I believe that God has made every person in his unique image and that queerness is apart of that aspect. I politically identify as a leftist as well and it is interconnected with my faith.

I live in southern USA and have two cats :) I currently am a junior in high school working part time and involve myself in many leadership and STEM clubs. My favorite movie is Superman (2025) and my favorite TV show is Star Trek (1966).

I came back into Christianity in February of 2026 after 3 years of being a pagan and 6 years of agnosticism. I was forced to leave my last church (which was Nondenominational) in 2022 due to bullying, but I’m grateful for the journey nonetheless because it led me to my new church with strong theological guidance and community :)

My favorite form of casual evangelism is telling my friends “funny stories from church” which usually involve some sort of explaining church service or meanings or biblical passage. And over time they’re slowly learning more and asking more questions

A lot of my posts are about queerness haha

It definitely is a foundational part of my faith, as is all kindness and love, including any anti-prejudice. But I think especially because I am queer and because so much of Christian spaces is anti-queer that I want to create that opportunity for people to feel love. And honestly, the posts I write are just as much as reminders for myself as they are for other people.

I don’t really think it is the center of my faith, I don’t want people to get confused into that assumption. My queerness is such a small part of my life even if it is mentioned a lot. It is just very topical I think

This Pride Month, try not to hate yourself. Try not to hate the identity you have.

Do it for yourself but above that, do it for our Father, who created you exactly this way and wants you to love yourself and be loved as yourself.

This is something I will always struggle with. But it is something that must continue to be struggled with because the alternative is giving in to self-hatred, starving myself of the beauty in the world by depression.

The alternative to loving yourself as your were made is denying stricture, which— however complicated others have made it seem with the fog of history and interpretation— would never tell me that I was made, born to sin.

Wrestle with these things. Because to wrestle with God is to still be in His hands.

God, thank you for all the beauty and love on this earth. Even through others disgust at creation, there will always be those who will seek to find Your craftsmanship within it; strengthen me, to be one of those men who can find joy in all things, and convict me when I do not.

Btw a lot of my posts are about the queer cultures and Christian cultures in my life that are clashing but I hope yall all know that I know there is nuance and kindness from every side. I know that there are lgbt-accepting Christian’s and queer Christian’s like myself and etc etc etc.

But I’m mostly talking about my hyper specific experience growing up in a hyper-homophobic southern USA environment, rejecting Christianity for years BECAUSE of that, finding community in queerness (that was sometimes explicitly anti-Christian) and then being rejected by them once I found a more inclusive and (in my opinion) biblical church that helped me understand the role of queerness in Gods plan. And then, feeling almost accepted by Christians in my life that are mostly evangelical, while still being rejected by them passive aggressively because I refuse to repress myself further.

So. That was kind of a exposition dump on my lived experience but TLDR my blog is about ME and MY relationships with these two parts of my identity and don’t reflect the entire scope of what the discussion should be
