Further Confusion 2016

Here’s my recap from FC 2016. I’ll start with the fact that this is not my first FC or convention in general. I have been working for FC since 2010, and for BLFC since 2013. Thursday I WANTED to go to the con space, found out were were expected to be, but were never told, so the whole trip started out on this shitty note.

Friday was better. I participated in the Critterlympics as Pistachio, and was on the team that got second. Gizmo’s team got first, so we went and immediately used his Johnny Rocket’s gift card after because we were starving. The rest of the day was pretty chill, as we then had work starting at 11.

Saturday was long. Gizmo auditioned for the dance comp, then we all had my Instagram photo shoot:

It was a HUGE success! I’m really happy all these people came! From there, we found out Gizmo unfortunately did not make it into the dance comp, but he went to hang out with new friends of ours, and I think Kal and I went to eat. Right before dance comp was the Myrtle’s Monster’s shoot (which Kal unfortunately missed):

And then we watched the dance comp with our new friends which was good, but also disappointing because a few dancers were not as good as what we had choreographed for Gizmo. I then had a FLARE thing, and then actual working shortly after that.

Sunday was chill. Gizmo went off to hang out with the Maos, and Kal and I meandered down in suit. We took a couples photo, and then waited for the Maos and Gizmo to go a group thing. Then Kal was hot so he wandered off, and we handed out these raffle things for the Maos. Next was boba and brick toast! Which was delicious. Then we (unfortunately) watched FC: Unleashed.....which kind of sucked this year. But before my shift, we went back to the Maos hotel room and they made us sammiches!!! I like sammiches! And during my shift I got to talk to a very drunk Pepper Coyote, which was interesting. Leaving on Monday sucked. We couldn’t see the Maos, and I had to say bye to FLARE family, my brother, and Kal. But I hope to see all of them again soon. Kal is trying to plan a trip to see me, BLFC is in May so I’ll see a bunch of people then. And Gizmo and I are trying to plan to go to Anthrocon this year!

Days staying: I actually don’t know. I *think* Thursday - Monday, but I am not sure. Staying at: Main hotel, FLARE crash space How are you traveling? Driving with Gizmo and Nikita, and maybe Jade. Who are you rooming with? Kalamo, Gizmo, Nikita, and maybe Jade. Who will you be with? Those above people, probably Myrtle at some point, the IG fam, and my FLARE team. Where will you be? Last time Kal let someone try on his suit, it ended up on a gross fursuit page on here just because they insisted on wearing it and it was sweaty....so, I will be picky. If I AM wearing a radio, I advise you to stay away. I’m like a service dog lol. Stage Performance?: Nope. I am not performancy Can I draw in your sketchbook? If I happen to have it, sure. But last year I didn’t even bother tbh Can we hang out? Sure! Can I talk to you? Please do! Where will you be eating? We end up eating a lot of Subway while there. But there’s also a good Boba place, and another asian place that serves a wonderful chasu bowl that I’m craving. Can I come to dinner with you? You can ask, but if I am grabbing dinner, it will usually be quick. Can I buy breakfast, lunch, or dinner sometime? Buying me things is always appreciated! Can I ask ya to dance with me during the dances? Sorry, I work during the dances! Can I buy you drinks? I wish :( Because I work the con, I can’t drink before or during my shift. Do you attend parties? If I’m on party floor, I am working. Can I take your picture? Sure! May I kidnap you to my room?

I’d rather you not. See, the boys up there, one is a third degree blackbelt MMA, and the other is a blackbelt in Judo and trained in wrestling. I also have my FLARE fam who WILL eat you. Attending any events?

I go to the dance comp (crossing my fingers that dog boyfriend gets in!), FCU, and the fursuit parade. I’m also co-hosting a IG furs meetup. What’s your goal(s) for the con this year? Talk to people, have fun, not stress too much Anything else? HAVE A SAFE AND SANE CONVENTION!!!!!

This was a head I completed this last summer. A Dutch Angel Dragon named Prim, or Primrose. (I do not give anyone permission to use this photo save for the owner)

I KNOW MOST PEOPLE HATE THE RAINBOW FUR. This head was made on commission by a father for his young daughter, both from New Zealand. Since this, she has made herself a whole body suit. Prim has semi-following eyes (even if they are just white), white short pile “beaver” fur, white long pile luxury shag fur, rainbow monkey shag fur, nine vinyl horns, plushie teeth and tongue, and five plush feathers on her crest.

From BLFC 2015, I pretty much exclusively wore Pistachio, since it was his debut con. Pistachio is made by Creature Haven, the german shepherd with me is Gizmo, and I made him. He has been fixed some since these photos.
