I've been seeing this pop up on facey book and da gram and I was curious if the end product was as cute as the videos made it seem.

The original blind boxes are made by capsule.bushiroad-creative.com.

Which is what tama-kyu.com opens to if you type it (tama-kyu is seen on the check list, but then on the bottom of that section so is bushiroad].

Bushiroad is known for making gacha mystery capsules, but have branched out to boxes when making they're mini figures like they did with death not and sanrio. And then they have original designs like the Cafe Cats.

The cats are TINY, maybe an inch at most. The cups are vinyl whereas the cat is some kind of resin. Very dark to the point they look solid until some light makes its way through.

I haven't translated what kind of coffee each is; but the vibes for the tiny cats are plain black, coffee with milk, and coffee with sugar. Ot probably is more like black cat, cat with milk, cat with sugar. The long boys confuse me but are also my utter favorites because they're shapes and faces vary so much from each other; whereas the little cats are almost completely identical in face(the black coffee and coffee with milk ARE identical molds which I am not a fan of].

Overall I'm fairly fond of them and a, decently excited to decorate my space with them; so if you love the non-Newtonian fluid pet that is known as cat, or are a coffee and fluid physics fan, you'll probably get a kick out of these.

More than halfway through the books [exactly halfway through the movies cause the last one was split into 2 movies, and I will be pissed if I have to collect 24 display cases for a movie that got split into 2].

I have an extra random number at the bottom of each box because I was trying to figure out how I wanted to display the characters [trying to find what pattern most closely resembled the movie].

For year 4 they did away with the 4-character figure box, and replaced it with a 2-character + 1 accessory blind box, there's 4 different sets of 2-character groups, but they don't get mixed and matched. These multi character blind boxes also go by a number system so you can still avoid getting trapped by doubles.

Each case has 18 boxes in total, 12 individual characters to collect and some dupes along the way. There are another two 3-figure display boxes, and a 4-figure display box. The regular blind boxes are at Meijer and Walmart while the multi-figures I have only seen online, not in store.

So far they are keeping the numbering system on them, and simplified them to the go from 01-12, instead of the weird 899 nonsense from series 1. A lot easier to read.

The 4-figure pack has SIrius in his prisoner garb, Buckbeak, Hermione, and Harry.

Still super cute, still easy to display, easy to dust.

I do gotta say with the 15 blind boxes + 3 large displaysfrom year 1, 12 + 3 displays from year 2, and now 12 + 3 from year 3 our display cases are taking up significant space [that's 48 cases to display].

I got nothing here, no weights no numbers cause I've never seen them in a store. I might wind up getting the whole case from Toywiz and just sell the extra boxes.

I ordered the multi figure display boxes from Maxy's, they're always on Amazon but you can find them cheaper elsewhere, especially around the holiday season.

Spinmaster toys brings y'all Harry Potter Micro Magical Moments: Year 1

It's been a hot second since these released, but tumblr doesn't like the file size for my full list so we're breaking it down.

These are small and come in stackable display cases already, which is great for keeping dust off of teeny tiny figures and locking your display in place.

While they do have different weights, because the shape of each figure is it's own unique mold, they are also numbered which makes collecting these infinitely easier.

Each case comes with 18 boxes and for the first series there were 15 characters to collect. The series going forward only have 12 characters to collect. On the back of the box is the main item number [20142] and then the last 3 numbers dictate which figure it is. For series 1 the codes range from 899 - 913.

899 - Dumbledore

900 - Dudley eating Harry's cake [piggy tail]

901 - Hagrid with Harry's Cake

902 - Harry in the cloak of invisibility

903 - Ron in his school uniforms

904 - Hedwig on the baggage trolley

905 - Hermione in the sorting hat

906 - Hermione nailing Wingardium Leviosa

907 - Harry in front of the Mirror of Erised

908 - Harry catching the Golden Snitch

Then they released 3 multi-figure displays, not blind box.

The first was Harry getting his letter, Dudley angry with his gifts, and Hagrid [again] with the cake

The second was Hedwig on the trolley while Ron and Harry ate sweets

The last was a 4-figure pack, Harry and Hermione grungy from the fight, Ron on the chess piece, and sleeping Fluffy [so cute].

I think the cost of these was ok, 5 dollar for a blind box figure, and while the figure was incredibly small [hence the MICRO in the name] you also got a display case with it, which made up for the cost. If it was that huge box for just the figure on a little stand it would not be worth it.

The blind boxes from serries 1-4 used to be around 3.97 at Walmart and Meijer, with the larger boxes being 9.99 - 12.99 because of the multiple figures. Now the blind boxes have gone up to 4.99 at Meijer at least.

I like that they're so small and don't take up a whole lot of space, that's honestly way better if there's 7 years of these to collect.

We're several more series out than this now, but this was the simple start to a ridiculous amount of cats.

Disney Princess Comics Mini Series 6

I thought it ended at series 4 but apparently there was two more after that, it's been a while since I looked at these miniatures, and I'm missing 3 of my list weights.

Series 6 was Tye Dye/ gradient colors, and only really gave us a different Moana outfit, Andrina [Aruel's sister], Raja, and Bashful.

It utilizes the same mold, pose and face for Snow white, Mulan, Jasmine, and Genie. And there's 3 less characters to collect than the previous sets, but it meant that each case had 2 whole sets.

Disney Princess Comics Mini Series 2

Repeated Belle, Ariel [in her human pose], Cinderella [different dress], Rapunzel [dancing scene] and Jasmine in a different color.

So roughly seeing 5 of the same princesses we saw in series 1. But we get new princes.

Disney Princess Comics Minis Series 1

Released in cases of 12 to 18 originally, in these round cardboard containers that included a mini figure, a stand, a check list, and a sticker of the figure. Sometimes the weights would overlap a little cause the paper wrap around the figure would vary ever so slightly or the tape was longer on one box versus another.

They are cute, they are small, easy to collect, but I think the series stopped after 4 sets [I think] cause the sales weren't going so well. In my opinion it's because they would release the same princess repeatedly, when they had so many support characters and they barely made any villains.

It could have been so good. And these big companies keep dropping the ball. I am an adult that collects the toys I couldn't have as a child, and honestly I'm getting really tired of how cheap toys are getting.

Designed by Mystic Musings, and then made by Toynami as a blind bag series is a set of technically 5 mystery minis [Except the 5th is a bunch of pieces to put together].

Super cute, this is the regular version that I found years back at my local comic shop. I think there was a pearlescent version released but from the online photos I couldn't really see a big difference.

They are so stinking cute, love all the different poses, love that I get to decide how to pose the bonus little nessie, and the boxes are set up so that each row is one full set. So as long as the case is fresh you don't really need to weigh them.

Finally went outside after a good long while, besides essentials.

Haven’t had a lot of practice with blind boxes or bags in those months so I figured I should get some practice in, was probably a little rusty.

Saw these at Walmart, and figured it was pretty easy to feel the shapes in the bags cause the figures are decently sized. 

I don’t know anything about the series, or the ratios, or if there are codes on the back of the packages [I didn’t really check]. 

Find the head and start there, scoot it out of the way, start feeling around for recognizable shapes for each of the figures. Like long hair, pig tails, the wide flat cape shape, the bug feelers headband. 

Be careful with the tail on the unicorn, there’s a couple of ponytail hair styles that can be tricky, so always feel around for the horse body [a solid piece], as well as the unicorn horn.

PS you can feel the scales on the mermaid body along with the pigtails so that’s another super easy one.

Finally got around to finishing off my set

I usually don’t have this much trouble with doubles, but this time around I just had some ridiculous luck. In series 1 and series 2 there was only 1 exclusive clip per case. We only had 1 exclusive per series, and it was gold bendy for both series 1 and 2. 

This time around we have 3 exclusives, 2 gold figures, and 1 silver figure, and what I’ve found was that you can get multiple gold figures per case. Now I didn’t get to weigh a full case so I don’t know exactly how many chase figures are actually in a single case, cause I did get a gold Audrey, a gold Ink Demon, and a Silver Sammy, from a different case.

That still leaves me with finding 2 Gold Audrey’s , 3 Gold Ink Demons, and 2 Silver Sammy’s in one single case. Which, while nice that it’s increasing the amount of chase figures per case thus giving collectors a better chance of getting a full set, it also increases my chances of getting doubles cause the chase figures almost weight exactly the same as the regular figures, and I’ve never had that problem before. 

The issue is made worse by some of these molds [different characters] being close in weight just in general, and depending on the amount of glue used on the bag, the air trapped in the bag, in my case some glue from the box got stuck to the bags and left cardboard residue behind > adding weight onto certain figures and making the numbers close to other, known, weights > making it even harder to find the figures I was missing.

The only other thing to add is the big blobby guy is still very much being shown as being part of this set, he’s on the official site line-up. But he never appears on the box, or on the back of the package. And him being, I’m assuming, a common ink enemy, there should be a bunch of him per case. All that means is he was probably cut from this lineup, and will make a return in series 4 [probably].

Admittedly I don’t really care too much about the butcher gang, but we got the other guys in series 2 [Barley, Charley, and Edgar], so we might as well get all of the secondary goobers.

Listen the gold/silver versions are the same character just re-painted, the paint doesn’t really affect the weight, so they’re basically the same but now yer trying to find like 1 of each in a box that has like 5 ink versions of each of these characters. Not fun

I don’t know what the giant blobby guy is but I’m betting he weighs the most.
